ShopBLT - More TM Warthogs on the way!
PoleCat replied to JG27_Arklight's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Yes suggestion....Don't panic. If you pre-ordered at a lower price it is unlikely that BLT is going to tell you that you now have to pay more. That would be bait and switch and I don't think this is the case. Many retailers were selling at lower prices and raising those prices as release gets closer and demand gets higher. Out -
Thrustmaster WartHog Switchgear
PoleCat replied to MadDogMcQ's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Thanks for pointing this out. I will wait to see how it works out for anyone else who is going to try it. Slayer did you try this yet? If so how does the boot fit. Out -
Thrustmaster WartHog Switchgear
PoleCat replied to MadDogMcQ's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Yes Mower, and they also left out the gold plated personally engraved I.D. Tags and the Nomex gloves. :P Its pretty much described as the best HOTAS out there by everyone who has one. I would say that is pretty fine attention to detail. Out -

How many of these are needed and are these the correct ones you linked to? The tops look a bit short. I want to be sure they are correct before ordering. Thanks Out -
Need help with joystick choice.
PoleCat replied to Source's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
I have no experience with either of these. At 40 bucks it will be tough to get something decent but perhaps others here can advise you on the better of the two choices you have. I would advise you to put this money towards something better if you are going to be flight simming for some time to come. For a good enthusiast setup you will need a decent PC HOTAS (Cougar, CH. Saitek, Warthog, X-52 etc)and a TIR. Best of luck! Out -
Enjoy man....enjoy. Out

The best example of improvement to me is obvious at the most basic levels of the TARGET software. It is the simple GUI enabled programming rather than text based as in Foxy. Producing toggles, repeats, press/release, hold and like statements is done more easily with drop down selections in a nice GUI. Much more automated and intuative in its presentation and overall feel. IMHO TARGET is smooth and easy as pie (assuming of course pie is some how easy).;) My understanding is that in the scripting dept the advances over Foxy are even more pronounced although admittedly I have not yet delved there. TARGET software is mmm mmm good like Campbell's soup used to be. :D I like it.:joystick: Out

A10C IVS (Instructional Video Series) - by Tyger
PoleCat replied to Heli Shed's topic in Screenshots and Videos
Great work as always Tyger. Well done. S! -
I have the HOTAS Cougar/Foxy software installed right along side of TARGET, whilst I wait for the WH. The new software is really cool and well worth exploring. I have also installed and removed the TARGET software a couple of times under Win7 x64 (US Eng)as well. I will switch to it for programming the Cougar. From what I have seen so far it really simplifies the more advanced programming and the point and click interface for setting up repeats, toggles, Press/Releases etc. are much easier and more user friendly than Foxy, Korgy and the Composer. This is the new software for the Cougar and it has many improvements over the older software, it seems a nice leap forward. I see no good reason not to embrace it. I will of course leave foxy installed if needed to DL my older TMM/TMJ files to the stick but asap I will transfer all my files and programming to TARGET. I would like to express my gratitude to James Hallows for all the hard work he gave to produce Foxy and the preceeding programming software written for the Stickworks F-22 Pro/TQS combo. This software has been excellent and a great help in reference and instruction for programming my TM controllers over the years. Well done James and thank you! Also thanks to TM for producing the Warthog and the new TARGET software. Now ship mine already! :joystick: Out

BLT's site has changed release to 11-4. I have not received an email moving the date back yet for my order but I do expect one. This waiting and constant shuffling of dates is really starting to get to me now. If I can find it some place else in the USA sooner I will probably cancel my order there and re-order some place else. I don't care if I have to pay a little more. To me it is worth it to get it asap. HOG HOG HOG HOG! Out

Looks to me as if it is going right from the factory in China to the regional dist. Not sure though. Can't wait. HOG HOG HOG HOG HOG Out

Yes I have it working fine. Had some problems intitally launching. I had to DL and install the latest .net framework v4. After this a reinstall of TARGET and a reboot it seemed to work for me under win7 x64. (I also have the Cougar HOTAS software installed. The only change I made here is to set the stick to be in windows mode on boot rather than programmed mode). GUI and Script editor working fine with Cougar and MFDs. Now I just need the Warthog......now please. Out

PoleCat replied to JG27_Arklight's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
No I have not used it myself but I have heard much about it from those who have. My understanding is that it is "exceptional". I hope to have my new one in less than two weeks. I feel like a kid waiting for christmas morning so I can open my long anticipated present. At my age thats a really really good feeling, priceless even. Needless to say I don't mind the wait. ;) Out -
