Needs some help on Cougar Hotas!
PoleCat replied to Raised_Dead85's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
The producing of continued keystrokes is sometimes caused by the Rng or Ant knobs being programmed to produce keys. If either of them are not centered to detent after the file is downloaded they can generate continued keystrokes as you described earlier. As pointed out earlier you need to make sure the file is downloaded to the stick properly as well. You also mention you fly 25T. You need to turn on power rshift+L before engines will start. Sorry if you already knew this. The Cougar is a great setup and Vipers files are first rate. Sorry you are having issues. Hopefully we can help you to sort it out. Looking at the above posts by these fine gentlemen I would say support is looking really good for you at this moment. Don't give up. Let us know how things are progressing. Out -

Found this after a quick search...... "Q. Which can be used as good game server, is it VPS or a Dedicated Server? Ans :- We do not recommend using a VPS as a game server since memory and CPU allocations for a VPS are far lesser as compared to a physical dedicated server. You can try out one of VPS Hosting plans for 1 month to see if it supports games. We generally do not recommend a VPS to be used as a Game Server as most of the games are big on resources, which will dramatically slow down the server, which in turn would not be worth the money you would save."

Yes that is correct. Out

104th Server specs are: Intel 965GF C2D E6600 2GB DDR2 1066 memory Windows XP Pro x86 (upgrading to Win7 x64 shortly) Raid 1 mirror for OS, apps and games and single SATA backup drive. Low end Nvidia card (not much needed for server all settings low) On board Sound card (not used or needed) Probably will upgrade the hardware this year although we have had no problems using this box as a server for the last 2+ years. Hosted in LA as Nem said. 100Mb backbone though not 10Mb Out

Perfect stick for A-10C from Thrustmaster?

The answer to your question is very simple. Both Black Shark and Flaming Cliffs 2 are protected by Starforce proactive. The version of SF on these products will NOT harm your optical drives. I have not seen one single report of messed up hardware due to the versions of Starforce protecting Black Shark or Flaming Cliffs 2. Buy with confidence. Great products. Out

104th Dedicated Crashes We have been experiencing randopm crashes on the 104th dedicated server. We are not sure what the issue is that is causing this to happen. Attached are some crash logs and network logs from the past 2 days. Any help in figuring out exactly what the problem is would be most welcome. PoleCat Out 104th_Dedi_Crashes.rar

New version 1.1 "DCS Black Shark - Shortcuts"
PoleCat replied to Critical Bill's topic in DCS Modding
Very nice. Thank you! Out -
This is the larger point that people should catch on to. It only adds to the confusion when people post crashes or hangs on modded installs. Unless you have tested on a clean unmodded install of FC2 and can reproduce the error it is unlikely the correct thing to do is to report it here until you have done so IMHO. :music_whistling: Out

Yes let’s not talk crazy. Lest we all be playing FPS and not flying any new sims for a lack of good companies to produce them. We are perhaps the luckiest group of finicky bastards ever to have ED/TFC quality simulations to fly now, and look forward to in the future. I wish those who are unhappy could have but a small glimpse of the incredible talent, intellect, and grueling effort I have witnessed firsthand. All of that energy and more goes into producing such outstanding titles as those we are now discussing. It would leave most of you with a much greater respect for how lucky we are to have such a company at all. They do an awful lot for such a small niche genre that I am often amazed that people could possibly complain at all. We are all lucky bastards indeed. Out

Updated drive- resolution issue now:
PoleCat replied to DetroitDieseL's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
This is a driver overscan issue. Google (your monitor make model) Nvidia overscan. There are several work arounds that involve editing an inf file. Unfortunately the specifics are different for each monitor that exhibits the issue. Hope this helps to point you in the right direction. Good luck. -
Who in the Lomac Community uses radar Automization?
PoleCat replied to 3Sqn_TomAce's topic in DCS Modding
The 104th is currently using and supporting Yoda's mod and we will be making it available to those in the community that are interested in trying it for a while so that they can make an informed decision about its use. If you need help with its installation or use please feel free to drop by th 104th TS3 server for help. Over the long term we will decide internally if we should continue to do so on a permanent basis or not. Of course we will keep you, the community informed of any changes to our dedicated server policy moving forward. Out -
LOL ;) Good one. Out
