Congratulations on your longest sortie! Glad you enjoyed it and thanks for flying on our server. The server has only been live for less than 24 hours. Hopefully it will become busy fairly quickly. The pings are low and the connect is stable so far. :) Out

ANSWER FROM TM REGARDING WT THROTTLE PROBLEM
PoleCat replied to Funkyjazz's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
There is no "trick" AFAIK. Just be sure to update to the latest firmware. Out -
Yes. Use common sense. Do not be rude. Don't shoot friendlies. If in doubt ask. Other than that have fun! :) Out

104th Phoenix A10-C public server The 104th is pleased to announce the addition of a high capacity public dedicated A10-C server running along side of our FC2 dedicated server. We are in the public rollout and testing phases for now. Pings are low and there is no password required so come on in and welcome! :D Out

same issue here. Not sure how to fix yet.

We use UltraVNC without issue for remote admin to the 104th FC2 and DCS series servers. Works OK. Edit: After installing 1.1.0.9 fresh. I am having a similar issue where if I try to connect to the server while it is running A10-C using uvnc the game graphics are corrupted and the game crashes...investigating... Edit: Working now problem was UVNC not A10-C. Out

Love the no graphics switch. Well done! We just got our 3rd A10-C license yesterday. Thanks to a generous donation from 104th_Moa the 104th Phoenix will be adding a second high capacity A10-C server in the next few days. With this latest purchase I now have 3 copies of A10-C running on 3 separate machines on my LAN and as Tyger correctly states I use the same login and pass for the master server but separate licenses for each machine whether they are acting as server or client. I agree it would be nice if ED could offer a way to run a server and client on a single license but this sim and the DCS world is so freaking great I am OK if they don't. To ED, Wag's and the testing team: Keep up the great work on the DCS world~! Your continued dedication to the combat flight sim community is greatly appreciated. :) Out

My TrackIR is irritating and pedantic :/
PoleCat replied to Frostiken's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Better hardware? I have been using TIR for years. No such problem what so ever. The initial use of this product requires some time to get used to. Tracks perfectly well if set up properly. Recenter often, no light behind you, make sure of the camera postion through the interface, tweak the curves etc. This product is simply excellent and the issue is likely something wrong in your set up. My TIR is second only to my HOTAS in importance and is an absolute necessity to any quality simming experience. Out -

Went straight to the 11.8 previews as well. Some nice improvements for the 5000 series listed there. Out -
I agree with Cali. There is a noticable improvement in the 5 over the 4. Out

Not too heavy but just right. Sort of a "war chess" style game. Really good stuff. Out

I have about 1 degree of twist as well maybe 2. It has not worsened but I have not been flying much due to a busy schedule and home renovations. It is not much but I wish it was none. Still love it. Out

Congratulations on your purchase! Enjoy it man! Excellent choice. Step 1: Update the firmware. Step 2: Have fun! Out

AMD Catalyst 11.6 WHQL (8.861 May 24)

Grabbing the preview drivers now. Thanks Mustang. Nothing ventured nothing gained. :D Out -
Congratulations on your purchase. As Cali said it would be prudent to update the firmware as a small number of units have had throttles fail (replaced under warranty). I love mine and have had no issues or failures since my original purchase just days after release in the U.S. I suggest that you just do what I and many others are have after our purchases...Enjoy the best HOTAS out there and most of all have fun with it! Been following this sims development since it's conception way back after the LB2 days. This has been slowly moving forward for years. Really looking good. I will also purchase for sure. Out

Whats AGP again?.....;) JK Out -
I highly recommend the use of the TIR pause function (mapped to stick) or panel snap views when trying to stabilize your view on a specific MFD or panel. It really does take some getting used to and some tweaking. Once you get it just right you will love it. Don't give up. Best of luck. Out

I am not speaking to how complicated RAID is, I have been using it for years. Forget the article for a minute. My experience with using Raid 0 on multiple machines for many years is completely contrary to your results for general use and gaming. (Which means overall. I use my PC for many things). Not even close to performace gains like those. Frankly I think the expectations set by your statements are unrealistic and anyone spending money on a second drive to test it will likely be disappointed by the results. It is perceptible but far from stunning in most cases. Your splitting hairs as far as noticable differences are concerned. I have many friends that have set up RAID 0 with my help tried it and quickly reverted citing that the improvements in performance were negligable for them. This is not a blanket statement I don't know everything this is just my experience. Out

Intel Z68 Chipset - thinking of upgrading?
PoleCat replied to Druid_'s topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
If your thinking of purchasing a-b-c then wait just another month or two and you can have d-e-f. Only problem with this is that by the time you wait for d-e-f you could wait another couple of months and get even better g-h-i.:D It never ends. You can always wait longer pay more and do better. It is the nature of the beast. ;) Out
