  2. Not really. When you describe features as a "joke", I wouldn't call that polite. There's a way to critique without being offensive and hyperbolic. Not to say he didn't make some valid points but the delivery certainly sounded like he had a personal axe to grind.

    Due to a weird limitation in DCS, you can't have a mix of both rear aspect and all aspect IR missiles. So all the missiles in the C-101 act like the rear aspect AIM-9P. Anyway, don't want to get into a discussion about it in this thread but hopefully AvioDev can find a work around for it at some point.

    This may not mean much but I've been able to take on an excellent AI F-14 in a C-101CC and kill most of the time with rear aspect missiles. So, she does have some fight in her if you push the envelope. The fight started with us close abreast but pointing opposite directions. F-14 had all aspect AIM-9s.
  11. I think it's next to impossible to perfectly trim it. Any change in speed, thrust, weight, drag, attitude will throw off the trim which is expected. I can get it pretty close where it's only losing or gaining less than 50 feet/minute. One trick is not to overcompensate on the trim and to use very gentle stick inputs (like tiny incremental tugs) to keep your climb/descent rate around zero.

    I'd interested to see if you could throw in some triggers so that you get some warning from the AI before it is about to do a manoeuver. Theoretically possible but probably a bit of work. Might play around with the concept when I'm on vacay.

    I think the player/AI wingman interaction is kind of limited at the moment for DCS in general. For instance, I don't think they will even follow you in a loop. And you can't make them land with you. A work around, I guess, would be to have an AI flight leader but it would be pretty tricky to be a player wingman unless you practiced the routine dozens of times. Even then, it would be hard to pull off perfectly.
