If you have upgraded the drivers and still have the problem with looking down in the cockpit, try changing these in the graphics.cfg depending on the setting you use, Low, medium or high. near_clip = 0.2; middle_clip = 4.; change to near_clip = 1; middle_clip = 1; Solved the issue for me.

How to put lomac on one separe core with vista.
CoNa replied to CoNa's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Yeah, I get the same problem with procaff too. Is there any way of setting affinity in Lomac, just like it's possible in IL-2? Easiest way is allways to have it set in the game. -

Thanks, will try that. -
The biggest mistake in military aviation history?
CoNa replied to FanBoy2006.01's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
I'll give the Raptor 20 years on the fighter throne. If we look into the future, I don't think the F-22 will have a chance. A pack of cheaper, smaller, more agile, more stealthier UCAVs will probably be the way to go. A sad day for pilots, but that's war. -
I have used both Shoot and voicebuddy and it works well. I mainly use it when flying coop with an AI. Then it's more like giving instructions over the radio than pushing a button to get him to go where you want. If you don't have a hotas or touch buddy, it can help you with all the other command combinations you otherwise forget :smilewink: .

Vista w/ LockOn, another system running...
CoNa replied to H4rM's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
What sound card do you use on the desktop pc? X-fi ? There has been known sound issues with the x-fi and vista. A friend of mine had similar sound issues with IL-2 when upgrading to vista. But I think they relesased a new patch that would fix some of these things. -
triplehead done in software called "softTH"

Some news regarding the new TripleHead2Go digital. http://www.theinquirer.net/default.aspx?article=38077 http://www.matrox.com/graphics/en/gxm/products/th2go/digital/home.php Unfortunatly 5760x1200 is still a ......NoGo :megalol: Being able to use the DVI ports instead of VGA on TFTs will probably enhance it a bit though. -
I allways wondered where the microsoft logo is situated in these aircrafts. And now we know they forgot the most important buttons, next to the eject....ctrl+alt+delete. Will it be implemented in the newer Raptor F-22.1 version? Sorry... could not help my self ;-)

Has anyone tried the new Nvidia drivers yet? I'm buliding a new rig soon and was planning on staying with ATI/AMD and the R600, but with the new delays, I cannot wait until May-June. So it would be good to hear that Nvidia is pulling their bits together and fixing their issues so I can go with their 89XX, which I hope will be out sooner than the R600. So far I heard a problems with shaders/lighting and some anomalies in lockon. Are there any more issues to know about?

You are part correct. I think I found what I'm doing (partly)wrong. I'm going in, using TWS not LRS. By doing this it is possible to get a lock on a friendly without getting the correct IFF (according to my findings). It might be that I lock to far from being able to get IFF (unknown) and then it won't shift when getting correct id. I don't know yet. So the solution is to use LRS to begin with instead of TWS if I'm not certain that I got a foe. Then go over to TWS so that I don't notify my foe of my intentions, as well as giving away my launch from start. I will do some tests to verify if this is what I've been doing wrong.

The problem is that you some times don't get a dot even if it's a friendly. I have run in to several situations when I lock friendly and get "foe id" in the VSD of the F-15. Luckily I rather do not fire if I'm not sure, but that has sometimes meant that I have been shot down in stead. As we are sometimes mixing Su-Mig-F15 on the same side. Will all planes in a coalision force use IFF? So even if I lock on a Mig or SU on the same side I will get frindly ID? Without AWACs it's near impossible to be sure in an F-15. The best is when you have the US planes on one side and RU on the other... then you know if it's friend or foe.

I just saw this at Matrox...Digital dualhead2go http://www.matrox.com/graphics/en/gxm/products/dh2go/digital/home.php Higher resolution possible with this one. And dvi contacts  Resolution Refresh Rates 2048 x 768(2x 1024 x 768) 60Hz 2560 x 1024 (2x 1280 x 1024) 60Hz 2720 x 768 (2x 1360 x 768**) 60Hz 2880 x 900 (2x 1440 x 900)** 60Hz 3200 x 1200 (2x 1600 x 1200) 60Hz 3360 x 1050 (2x 1680 x 1050)** 60Hz 3840 x 1080 (2x 1920 x 1080)** 60Hz 3840 x 1200 (2x 1920 x 1200) 60Hz So, the next question...when is Digital th2g comming? :pilotfly: -
triplehead done in software called "softTH"
CoNa replied to G3's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
I was looking at this a couple of months ago but realized that I need to upgrade my pc first to get this working. It looks very nice, and as I can understand it, you can have different resolutions on the outer monitors than the mid one. Does any one know the limit of the resolution? TH2G is limited to 3840 x 1024, but I would ike to have 1600x1200 in the middle and perhaps as low as 1024x768 on the sides. I think one of the gratest benefits of using 3 monitors is that your field of view get filled, thus creating an even better "VR feeling" than with "only" TIR. I'm not willing to scrap my 21" CRT yet, but adding two 19" TFTs on each side would not hurt a bit....more than my wallet.... -
Is it possible to fly faster than a bullet?
CoNa replied to PythonOne's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
It's physically possible to be hit by your own bullets. Pull the trigger in high climb and let it drop on your head when it comes down, you will have the time to get there. If you are going M1+ ... it's going to hurt.... -
Ok, so it's an ostrich ...it's a bird... but it's not supposed to fly  Then it's no need to learn, as I allready have completed this mission. Here's the mission if you want to check how it's done. http://www.lockonfiles.com/modules.php?name=Downloads&d_op=getit&lid=493#dl

I'm not complaining:lookaround: , just wanted to know if someone knows what the limit of this missile system is. I don't want to dodge and turn if I need to point this thing directly at the target alll the time. One way is of course, setting up a test senario my self and try a couple of times. But I think I better ask first. I don't feel a need for re-inveting the wheel again

Hi, I have played some solo missions where the AGM-65E is used. As this is not a "fire and forget" missile but needs to be laser guided as the Vikhr, how much can I turn away before it's loosing the lock? With the Frog it's easy to tell as you see it in the TVM. But in the Hog you don't get anything in the TVM, it's just in the HUD. Also, if I loose the lock for a couple of seconds but turn back and try to regain it before the missile hits, will this be possible or will it fail as soon as the lock is broken?

You need to use this to get 3 screens working. http://www.matrox.com/graphics/offhome/th2go/gaming/home.cfm Looks awsome however.... http://www.matrox.com/graphics/offhome/th2go/gaming/lockon.cfm
