  1. I have just reinstalled Vista and Lockon after a disc crasch. I managed to rescue the whole lockon library though. I would like to copy my old settings for the joystick as well as keybord. Which files should I copy? greatful for support
  2. If you have Vista, there is a little trick to get the SST software to work. Download the SST software, now use unzip and detach the parts in the application. Use only the software_loc9 to install the SST software. Now it should work.
  3. While we're at it...... Rather have one of these....but the price is probably not the same. Those cockpit setups are looking sweeeet. http://www.immersivedisplayinc.com/index-3.html http://www.immersivedisplay.co.uk/html/products.html
  4. I don't like bailing out, but punching out the first time I nearly had a heart attack! It won't get any closer to a real eject :megalol:
  5. VAC works fine with Lockon. I use it with my AI wingmates successfully...well.... they are still stupid as doornails, but now at least I can tell them to be the bait when I need them to ;-) Use it for IL-2 too, works wonderful. I used Voicebuddy when I was on XP, and it worked fine too, but with Vista I never got it too work.. If you are low on cash, try Shoot. Freeware that works fine and has complete profiles for lockon http://clans.gameclubcentral.com/shoot/
  6. I works fine with Lockon, but be prepared that some tweaking might be needed. I use the X-fi card, and per default, I did not get the response that I wanted. But by using Alchemy, suddenly the planes started moving beneath my butt :smilewink: I lost the whining sound of the engines, but gained in afterburner thump. You will also have problems with the GAU cannon. Unfortunatly, that cannot be solved as it has to do with from where the sound comes from (look to the righ or left and fire and you will notice it). It can be improved by fiddeling with the soundfile a bit, but you wont feel it like in the Eagle. Also , rolling on tarmac can be be too loud. But after last installation of x-fi drivers I did not get that problem any more. You will feel the cracks in the pavement. I love my Bittkicker! It's actually really nice when you feel the resitance of the air when deploing the airbrakes and flaps as the wind sounds increase. You will not be dissapointed.
  7. Found the issue. I needed to use "arm" for PTT in VAC to get it to work. Also the headset seems to pick up a bit too much noise, causing it to fail sometimes.
  8. I'm trying to get VAC working with FC. Found a profile that seems to work, but I found one issue. The coms menu does not react with VAC. I have tried to change the coms menu key, but then, it does not work with the actual key press either! Is it not possible to change the coms menu key? It seems like one issue can be that I'm using a Swedish keyboard. Default key is \ which I on my kb need to push a keycombo to press. But instead, when I press the physical key where the \ should be on an English kb, which is ' on mine. So it seems that Vista is sensing that FC is for English keyboards and switches to that. Ok, so then set coms menu in VAC to activate with ' instead you may say..... I have tried both to use the \ and the ' in VAC, but either works! I see that VAC does what is should, because the F1,F2 etc are pressed, giving me different camera views. Really strange. Anyone that can give me a hint?
  9. The attack helicopter is the quivalent of the sniper of air warefare. Get in low, and at at standoff range....pinpoint the target with accuracy... boom... and get out low. The a-10 and Su-25 is more like a cavallery charge, powerfull and brutal straight towards the enemy with blazing guns. It all has it own charm.:thumbup:
  10. Strange, as I have v1.12b installed, and it's working perfect. And some of the changes I have done in the lua's have actually made difference.
  11. No problems, thanks for helping. But I still don't get it. This is what my defaults look like in view.lua -- Camera view angle limits {view angle min, view angle max}. CameraAngleLimits = {} CameraAngleLimits[PlaneIndex.iSu_27] = {160.0, -76.0, 110.0} CameraAngleLimits[PlaneIndex.iSu_33] = {160.0, -79.0, 110.0} CameraAngleLimits[PlaneIndex.iSu_25] = {109.0, -70.0, 105.0} CameraAngleLimits[PlaneIndex.iSu_39] = {116.0, -85.0, 110.0} CameraAngleLimits[PlaneIndex.iMiG_29] = {160.0, -80.0, 110.0} CameraAngleLimits[PlaneIndex.iMiG_29K] = {140.0, -65.0, 90.0} CameraAngleLimits[PlaneIndex.iA_10] = {160.0, -72.0, 110.0} CameraAngleLimits[PlaneIndex.iF_15] = {160.0, -81.0, 110.0} Nothing close to TekaTekas. CameraViewAngleLimits And my only say, CameraAngleLimits -- Camera view angle limits {view angle min, view angle max}. CameraViewAngleLimits = {} CameraViewAngleLimits[PlaneIndex.iSu_27] = {20.0, 120.0} CameraViewAngleLimits[PlaneIndex.iSu_33] = {20.0, 120.0} CameraViewAngleLimits[PlaneIndex.iSu_25] = {20.0, 120.0} CameraViewAngleLimits[PlaneIndex.iSu_39] = {20.0, 120.0} CameraViewAngleLimits[PlaneIndex.iMiG_29] = {20.0, 120.0} CameraViewAngleLimits[PlaneIndex.iMiG_29K] = {20.0, 120.0} CameraViewAngleLimits[PlaneIndex.iA_10] = {20.0, 120.0} CameraViewAngleLimits[PlaneIndex.iF_15] = {20.0, 120.0}
  12. Hi, tried your snapview.lua file, but It does not make any difference. What am I missing?
  13. OK, tried to change the different parameters, but still don't get the correct result. Changed : ViewAngle, no difference vAngle, head is looking down towards the instruments (headpitch) hAngle, head is turned from center (Headrotation)
  14. Thx Ironhand, that would really be appreciated. Which one is it that needs changing? Viewangle? Snap[1][13] = {} Snap[1][13]["viewAngle"] = 87.468338012695 Snap[1][13]["vAngle"] = -9.5 Snap[1][13]["hAngle"] = 0 Looking at the snapviews default.lua there is some information I don't follow. "User-made snap views for all his missions are saved in the Config/View/SnapViews.lua file if the parameter DisableSnapViewsSaving = true in the Config/View/Cockpit.lua file" Do I need to change this somewhere? Because I don't have an cockpit.lua
  15. Tried this, but I dont get any change? Still the same FOV. // If MouseCockpit is not set here then option value is used. // Remove two slashes in the next line and set your custom value: MouseCockpit = 1; MouseExternal = 0; MouseSpeedSlow = 1.0; MouseSpeedNormal = 1.5; MouseSpeedFast = 3.0; KeyboardSpeedSlow = 0.5; KeyboardSpeedNormal = 3.0; KeyboardSpeedFast = 15.0; CockpitViewAngleMin = 20.0; CockpitViewAngleMax = 145.0; // If CockpitViewAngleDefault is not set here then option value is used // Remove two slashes in the next line and set your custom value: CockpitViewAngleDefault = 105.0; ExternalViewAngleMin = 3.0; ExternalViewAngleMax = 170.0; // If ExternalViewAngleDefault is not set here then cockpit value is used // Remove two slashes in the next line and set your custom value: //ExternalViewAngleDefault = 60.0; CameraTerrainRestriction = 1; DisableSnapViewsSaving = 1; UseDefaultSnapViews = 0; ExplosionExpoTime = 1.0; CockpitSnapStepHor = 45.0; CockpitSnapStepVert = 30.0; CockpitNyMove = 1; ChazeCameraNyMove = 1;
  16. Correct Nate. But perhaps setting the FOV back a bit would do the trick though. These are however waaaaay to much. I will have a look at the file and see if I can adjustthe to my requirements.
  17. As I have a widescreen monitor, I have adjusted the FOV to 1,6 changed to the correct resolution (1680x1050), adjusted view angle (145) Ok, looks nice...but I feel like I'm waaay to close to the sight. I would like to move the seat position a notch or two back. OK, I can lean forward and reset the trackir for the distance, and then sit in the normal position again. But that's not good if I want to reset it during flight. Were do I change this and which parameters do I change to get this right? I have tested the "higher position" mod, but I don't want to get higher, just further back. Some one please?
  18. So you have allready tried to run it as XP over Vista? I have no issues what so ever running on Vista ...when I use XP compability mode.
  19. Run the program in XP (SP2) compability mode. (right click on the Lockon Icon, then run properties) Also deactivate visual themes and desktop. That might do the trick.
  20. It's a 9 DVD box, War in the Gulf, but I have seen that Discovery is using some parts of it in their Firepower series. www.musicbank.co.uk http://shop.instant-shop.com/musicbank/product5740280catno610280.html
  21. Well, actually I have the DVD, but nowhere to download it to. Photobucket only takes 100Mb.
  22. http://www.bluesky.se/?dnode=29 :pilotfly:
  23. From some middle east arms show. http://s229.photobucket.com/albums/ee134/CoNa_68/?action=view&current=KA-50.flv Starts with AH-64 though.
  24. Does anyone know where I can find this TV series? Would be fun to see a part even though I wont understand what they say.
  25. I have a problem to register on the DCS page. I get an "certificate error" as the rootcertificate is not trusted. How do I put it as trusted? I'm using Vista.
