  1. Its no problem to add animations like swing-wings, tailhooks and whatnot, but it wont be anything but eyecandy, seeing as the functions for those things arent implemented into the flight model.
  2. Isnt that the Alphasim Gripen for Fs2004\FSX? If its not it could use some more work on the nose, and the engine nozzle...also there seems to be some smoothing errors at the top of the tail fin and where the canopy meets the fuselage.
  3. Unfortunatly it isnt possible to get the aircraft to hover in Lock-On...but you could just "convert" the model to an A-model, only the F-35B is able to take off and land vertically. Your model looks good, so Im hoping that you'll find a way to implement it into Lock-On.
  4. Of course I do mate ;) The Spitfire never made it to Rygge, dont know why though...in stead we got two Mustangs, but the simulated dogfight with the 109 was still awesome. Unfortunatly they flew late in the day, which resulted in some really though photo conditions. but here's a few pictures I think turned out ok. Hope you like 'em. As for your question, the Kjeller airshow is annual, the Rygge Airshow was a one time event (unfortunatly) to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the 720sqn operating out of Rygge (flying Bell-412SPs). Jeg er foroevrig nordmann jeg ogsaa ;)
  5. Thanks guys, I used a Canon EOS 350D with a Canon EF 70-300mm IS lens. The 300mm lens tends to be a bit too small when shooting displays at airshows, but it will have to do for now ;)
  6. Yeah, it was a great show, too bad we dont see airshows this big more often in Norway. I think I got a totalt of about 2000 pictures from that weekend, including arrivals on friday. Ill post a couple, if youre ok with it... - The Belgian F-16 landing after its test display on friday afternoon. - The Swedes put on a great show with their Gripen solo display. - And the dutch F-16 solo display team was great...as allways...
  7. The model looks great, could you by any chance post a picture of the wireframe? I have real problems getting the air intakes right on my models, and a wireframe picture of a model such as this would be great help.
  8. Maybe its a stupid question, but you have remembered to texture the model?
  9. For the first time in weeks, I had some time to kill last weekend, so I started working on a new model for the F-5E in Lock-On (the old model isnt horrible, but it wouldnt hurt if it was a bit more detailed). This is just a quick render, and I havent done much more than just roughing in the shape of the aircraft, so there is alot of work left. But it would be nice to get some feedback on the model so far.
  10. Ah, great stuff, Ill check out the update then, it certainly looks ALOT better in the picture you posted!
  11. The thing that bugged me the most with the original model was the weird looking nose, and allthough this model looks alot better in some areas, the nose looks even worse...and the transition from the canopy to the "back" of the aircraft looks a bit weird too... The model as a whole looks great, but if youre able to work out these details as well it's going to look awesome! Keep up the good work!
  12. Wow, that looks awesome! The thing I love about the Hind is that it really looks like something from a nightmare, and it looks like its coming to kill you :P
  13. Haha, nice picture ;)
  14. Neither is great, but as far as I can remember from my FS-days, the Lago Tornado was the best out there...
  15. Looks good, but the constant switching of "the" with "tha" really makes it harder to read your posts mate...
  16. Yeah it does look pretty cool, but I would much rather have more, and better, vapor-effects...
  17. Hehehe, ja, er nok det ;)
  18. Are'nt the people who play FS a bit cheesy as well? ;)
  19. Did'nt know you're Norwegian, Glowing_Amraam, nice to see there are more of us here ;) And yes, keep up the amazing work, I love your movies!
  20. This thread just gets stupider and stupider by the moment, you keep complaining about how Lock-On is full of bugs, and how ED doesnt take you seriously by fixing those bugs, well, what makes you think that Fighter Ops will be flawless? It is impossible to make a game without bugs, and if FO ever gets released it too will be full of bugs! You keep bitching on and on about how ED sucks and what not, and praise a product that is FAR from finished to near godlike status, that's just absurd to me... I think all you FO-fanboys are in for a real slap in the face if you think that its going to be perfect, and that all the features promissed by the developers will be implemented into the final product. As I said in my last post, the FO-guys have shown that they are talented modellers, but so far they havent shown any proof that they know how to make a flight sim. All the screenshots on their site are just renders from 3ds max and such. As far as I understand, they are planning on using a modified version of the X-Plane graphics engine, have any of you fanboys even seen X-Plane? Its not exactly breathtaking...and by no means able to render models as detailed as those on the FO site in real time. Furthermore; models consisting of 40 000 polygons (like FO's Strike Eagle) would more or less kill any system to date. So lets just wait and see, if they even get a playable version of FO out there, before we start praising it shall we?
  21. I was at Fairford this year too, and the MiG-29OVT display was truly amazing. Seeing the Super Hornet, and the F-15C, after the MiG-29OVT wasnt really the same as it would have been, had the MiG not been there ;)
  22. To be honest with you guys, I really doubt that Fighter Ops will ever be released... So far they have shown that they are very talented modellers, but not much more...and the models seen in the screenshots at their site are pretty much all too detailed, and complex to be used in a game using todays hardware. My guess is that if we'll ever see a playable version of Fighter Ops, its years into the future. If they havent finished anything else than the models shown on their website, they have ALOT of work left...
