    FSX THREAD

If I remember correctly, you have to make a custom mission and add a couple of lines of code in a .txt file for that mission for it to work. I think it is descibed in the manual.

    FSX THREAD

Short answer is, you cant. FSX is not a combat sim, though some models have simulated weapons launch like the Iris F-16D, but most aircraft are not able to launch weapons.
  3. I will continue playing LO as long as there are no flyable jets in DCS. And looking at how much time it takes ED to complete each module I guess Ill be playing LO for at least another couple of years...
  4. Actually, if you are complely new to 3d modelling, which Im guessing you are, I wouldnt recommend you do an aircraft at all. Making aircraft in 3d isnt any harder than making other stuff, but if you are not familiar with the tools at your disposal it could prove to be quite a challenge. I would recommend you do some tutorials and stuff, and then come back to aircraft when you have a better knowledge of the tools, then the task at hand wont seem so overwhelming.
  5. Seriously, I dont get the fascination with the ArmA-series, the controls are horrible, the graphics are dated and boring, the sound effects are bland and the gameplay as a whole is terrible. I like Dragon Rising a whole lot better, though there seems to be one major flaw with the game, and that is no joystick support...
  6. Yeah, it does actually have a Delta Force-feel to it. I am one of the few who love simulators, but cant stand the original Operation Flashpoint or the ArmA series. My first impressions of Dragon Rising on the other hand are quite good, its actually fun to play, it looks good and it runs great. Looking forward to explore more of Skira island.
  7. Wow, that looks awesome, guess Ill have to dig out my IL-2 disks again now :P
  8. Nope, no grass in Black Shark, well, no more than in Lock-On that is.
  9. Hehe, it does kind of look like a UAV though ;) But anyway, there are UAVs in Black Shark, so I guess they'll be present in Warthog as well.
  10. Im not a big fan of the actual aircraft, but the model looks sweet, great job guys! :)
  11. Haha, you said it mate :P
  12. Wow, those are some really interessting shots Pilotasso, thanks for posting :)
  13. He's probably turned off the crash detection in FSX, that will allow you to fly through things such as trees and other solid objects without crashing. Wish we could have a combat sim that looked this good ;)
  14. In the manual there is a section dedicated to setting up joysticks, throttles and the works. At least there is in the PS3 version's manual, guess the manual is pretty identical on both platforms.
  15. What's the bonus? Guess Ill be downloading it when I get home later tonight. And Ive got to say that the Gripen model is by far the best community add on for Lock On.
  16. I'll download it right away, but from the screenshots, especially the first ones it looks more like a YF-22 than an F-22...
  17. This model has come a long way, looks pretty sweet now :)
  18. The black text on yellow background says "Varning raketstol", which means "warning ejection seat".
  19. That's good news, really looking forward to seeing the progress, Ive allways wanted a nice looking Typhoon in Lock-On :)
  20. Nice little mod, the model certainly isnt bad, but Id say it still could use a bit more tweaking. Especially the nose and the air intake is still a bit off, but its a good start :)
  21. The display looks awesome, very fluid and dynamic, cant wait to see it this weekend :D
  22. The mrs. and I will be flying in from Norway on friday, really looking forward to the show, this will be my second time at the RIAT. If you arrive on wedensday I guess you could go to the "park and view" event, isnt that on wedensday, thursday and friday?
  23. I really like the one with the belgian Viper dropping flares against the dark background.
  24. I have to agree with Aeroscout, the model seems a bit off. This is meant as constructive critizism, so dont take it the wrong way, but the first thing that strikes me is that the tail section of the aicraft is off, the engine nozzles should be at more of an angle than they are, the part of the tail that's between the engines nozzles and the tail seems to be a bit to thin. As some have pointed out earlier the nose is a bit off, and the "plates" (dont know what they are called) infront of the air intakes are a bit out of shape. And lastly the whole model seems to be more low poly than the one that's allready in the game. Dont be discouraged though, I would say that there are quite a few things to fix on the model, but if you fix these problems I think it could be pretty damn sweet ;) Oh yeah, and one more thing, dont use photos as referance for modeling! They are allmost never dead on, so your model will allways look a bit off because you are building it off of a photo taken at a slight angle. Well, anyway, good luck with the Phantom, looking forward to seeing the finished product.
  25. Ah, that worked, thanks mate :) I thought it had to be a .cdds, and couldnt figure out how to get those to work.
