  1. Yes. The document in this thread was meant to be a temporary file to get people started. The real guide has not yet been released... but it's getting very close.
  2. We're almost there, folks.
  3. Hi, I've noticed that every time we spawn and load a DTC, the VAR setting (which I assume to be the magnetic variation) in the TACAN page is always set to 13 deg West. In NTTR and Persian Gulf we also get the same value. Is that a bug or is it intended behaviour? Magvar value for Caucasus would be +6 deg East. If I want to correct it, I can't since the VAR setting is always set to West.
  4. I hope to have my guide completed within the next 2 weeks. Patience is a virtue.
  5. Pro tip: You can get to the SMS page instantly by pressing the Master Mode switch AFT (A/G mode) on the throttle (binding: "7"). Top Left MFCD page will automatically show the SMS page.
  6. Of course. V1 is the decision speed, which is slower than VR.
  7. Have you checked step 52? (Emergency Hydraulic Pump switch - ON). This will arm the pump, but the pump itself will not actually function unless a RPM drop is detected.
  8. I can't wait to see everyone try out some functions. The Air-to-Ground Radar really brings a new perspective to A2G operations.
  9. Allow me to correct your correction: SOPs indicate that the rotation speeds I listed are correct. The pilot is expected to rotate at the given VR (Rotation) speeds by himself. The auto-rotate feature is designed as a safety feature and is not meant to be used for normal operation. 180 kts is pretty fast for a rotation speed; this leaves you very little time to abort a takeoff if you takeoff like that. The risk associated with that is that this procedure is not adapted for short runway and heavy payload configurations. Allowing the aircraft to go to these speeds may also be a safety hazard in the eventuality that the pilot needs to abort his landing and slam the brakes at high speeds. With high-pressure tyres, they could very well burst since wheel brakes are not designed to be operated at more than 145 kts IIRC.
  10. It's currently a Block I, but with some upgrades used on Block II. It's a bit like a Block I+.
  11. Edit: the Introduction guide is now deprecated. Please consult the complete version here: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=258062
  12. Last attempt. Hope it's accurate, this time.
  13. To me it was very clear since I've flown so many different simulations of Spitfires... The way the brake is use is that you hold the brake lever WHILE using rudder pedals left or right.
  14. Oh, I get it now. Thank you for taking the time to do it. I'll try to update it tonight.
  15. No agression from my part. Let's make this more simple: please send a picture of the diagram with what you have in mind.
  16. I quoted almost verbatim the explanation you sent me, mate. You will have to provide me with a better one.
  17. If I say "target is at your 3 o'clock"... it's similar to "target is at your 090".
  18. If I understand correctly 035 (VTH) is the Aspect Angle (AA) relative to the bandit's tail as 0 deg. 142 (VTB) is the Target Aspect Angle (TAA) relative to bandit nose as 0 deg. I would then flush the paragraph about Angle off tail. I will also specify that: "TAA and AA basically refer to the same information (where you are in relationship to the bandit's nose) but use different conventions of zero reference. Aspect Angle (VTH) is useful when pursuing a target since the AA value can be read as a "you will see the bandit at YOUR 035". Target Aspect Angle (VTB) is simply 180 substracted with the Aspect Angle. Is that explanation clearer? Is there any particular use for the Target Aspect Angle instead of using Aspect Angle?
  19. You may find this resource useful in that regard: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=203187
  20. With Razbam pushing hard with their recent MLO updates for the Mirage, I thought I would show my appreciation by providing a much needed update to the aging document I did a few years back. Lots of new shiny things in there. Here is a list of the noticeable items: Changelog: (23/11/2019) Included new cockpit description Expanded radar section & limitations Added INS Precision Bombing tutorial Overhauled Autopilot section Updated Countermeasure section with latest MLO update Updated Radio section with latest MLO update (Greenbox) Cleaned up Weapon & Armament section Added VTB Loadout Display page description Added Takeoff tips Corrected INS Alignment Procedure Added Navigation tutorials for Markpoints, Waypoint Offset (BAD), and TACAN Offset (VAD) Page count went from 180 to 240+. It's the last stop before the JF-17.
  21. 1. Nothing happens. You'll be fine! 2. Razbam's Pocket guide (located in C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\Mods\aircraft\AV8BNA\Doc), the Harrier NATOPS (google it)... Baltic Dragon is also working on a brand new manual. 3. Your guess is as good as mine. So far, it's shaping up to be pretty decent already. Most functionalities you'd want in the Harrier gameplay-wise are already modelled. You can check my guide if you want to see what's currently offered in terms of features.
  22. Fixed. Sorry for the confusion.
