Mainly the fact that Baltic's manual will be official and more exhaustive. My guide definitely does not cover everything and isn't meant to replace dev documentation by any stretch of the imagination.
@aw33com
I did not have time to update the GBU section yet. This is on my to-do list. I've got 5000+ pages to maintain... you'll have to forgive me if I am not slaving away hard enough for you.
No ETA yet, but it's progressing.
The cockpit description, start-up procedure, takeoff, landing, and HOTAS sections are completed.
The Sensors section is being worked on (FCR done, Targeting Pod WIP, Maverick not yet implemented).
Hi,
In the current DCS implementation, the Radar Spotlight scan lines on the HSD extend to infinity and do not form a cone if the selected FCR range is smaller than the HSD scale... they just form two lines. Is it a bug or is it how it is really supposed to be?
According to the documentation available on the FCR, my understanding of these lines is that they should form a cone, which should extend to the FCR range selected.
Currently simulated
What I think should be simulated (observe the missing line that closes the cone). This example is for a HSD range setting of 60 nm and a radar range setting of 40 nm.
You could compare it to the JF-17's white EVP (Radar Scan Envelope Cone) on its HSD page, which is scaled properly with the radar range..
If you have documentation that proves me wrong, please let me know.
Greetings everyone,
It's been four years since I wrote the A-10C guide, back in 2015. Four years... 'feels like forever, doesn't it? With Eagle Dynamics updating their Warthog cockpit, I thought I would bring my A-10 guide up to standards as well.
So there it is!

Some of you may be shocked to see that the document practically quadrupled in size. This may be a big turnoff for some, and I understand that. However, I wanted to dig deeper on the system side and provide something a bit more in line with the latest guides.
