Un troisième F/A-18C suit également l'élève et l'assistera dans ses manoeuvres pendant cette première approche de nuit pour l'aspirant. Totaly agree with you. This initial 2.8 kill VR and the game too. But it is an open beta. i Hope That ed will fix all the issue Before to switch stable on 2.8

Same problem too. Big fps drop between 2.7 and 2.8 and long texture load. I am on windows 10 and rift s. All is up to date.

I don’t understand why many people are disapointed. It’s not the first time that ED change the plan.

With a News like this, I think we have to wait many years before to see a DTC in DCS…..

I don’t want them go broke. But it could be happen if ED continue to make very too long EA like hornet/viper etc. Now i don’t believe ED when they publish any plan, roadmap and News. Perhaps they don’t care but loose trust with old player like me it’is not a very good News.

Thanks. Many many work to do…. ED is far from the end of EA. I think we will wait 2 and 3 years more before to have a full hornet.

Due to lack of answer from ED, i think you’re right, only a very small team still work on hornet. For sure, i will no more buy EA from ED. It’s impossible for me to support them anymore.

hi BN, I know that i have to be patient. But now i have to be very patient ! We don’t see any progress on the roadmap since many month and in the last mini update post from wags, there is only one sentence…. at start, hornet dev was fast but now it is very very slow. Out of curiosity, How many guys still working on it ?

As many things are still in testing since many years or month : - vulkan - dynamic campaign - dynamic weather For all of that it will be cool to have News…. (and i don’t speak about all EA modules that are not finished since many years)

Hi, hornet is out since may 2018 and is still in EA. When i see the lack of update or informations about the roadmap in the last months, I think there are no many features to finish it. So why ED don’t want to get out of EA ? thanks

No. It is the fact, dev take time. Datacard was annouced many years ago and we still waiting this.

Perhaps they will annonce that they have finish a module ? We are waiting that for hornet and viper since many years.

Add new feature take time (between 4 and 5 years). So ED will release datacard when they are ready. You have to be very patient when you bought an EA !

If ED don’t use the word « soon », this feature will not come this year I think. Perhaps for the 5 years of hornet birthday in 2023

In one month we will celebrate 4 years since the release of the hornet early access….and still nothing about the new features or end of EA in this newsletter. For all those who buy the new modules, it is necessary to take into account the long development which follows, and the patience which it is necessary to have.

Like hornet/viper with fixed wing team, Ed have the same team for working on apache/hind. When they work on one project the other one don’t have new feature. Look viper , many news, video, update and hornet nothing since many month…. It will be the same with helicopter dev during all EA timeline. So if you want to not be frustrated don’t buy EA and wait.

It’s not necessary to ask and re ask ED for an update. When they have news they will share it. I think that a part of ED team is focused on Apache to resolve bugs. And other part work viper in order to made this plane at the same level of hornet. It’s a EA we have to be patient. Personally I have no more play with DCS until they made progress on hornet
