  2. ....for those that need to hear it, again...They are NOT working on a clickable "DCS" F-15....stop asking....yes, we all know it would be cool, but there are many cool things on the REAL "To-Do" list and redoing the F-15 again (lost count since LOMAC 1) is NOT one of them.

Flaming cliffs is not a DCS level of fidelity....meaning not super accurate radar , startup, shutdown, clickable cockpit, blah, blah, blah.... ....this has been known since the beginning...we are all waiting for a "high fidelity" "DCS" fast mover..... ...ED (eagle dynamics) made the ka-50 to show how to make a proper helo....they made the A-10 to show how to make a proper ground attack...they made the P-51 to show accurate prop planes....we are all hoping for a F18 by ED, a 3rd party mig-21, a F-16, a tie fighter and a star destroyer.....you can read alot of old post to bring yourself up to speed on this subject......
  6. a single hit does not always bring me down when in the BS....but will normally send me home... lots of armor on a Ka-50, duel engines separated by armor, more then a few back up systems.... shoot at something that is not referred to as a flying tank (ka-50, A-10) for a better judgement of a manpads damage capabilities
  7. having fun and kicking ass are two different things.... DCS is a wonderful simulator and you do not need trackir to enjoy it....don't spent the extra $150 if you aren't already addicted to flight sims.... But, if you wish to kick some serious ass with the unmatched situation awareness that head tracking provides in many games, including the Arma series and most racing titles, not to mention every single flight sim that wishes to have my business. You need to consider purchasing or building some kind of head tracking device. Some do say they have it and don't like it. I feel it to be very important to be able to look around with a more natural feel then what hat switches will allow. I refuse to use padlocks in anygame, in my mind they are a cheap, even though I dont mind servers that do allow others to use them. When playing WWII birds and dogfighting very complex scissors and such....I feel trackir to provide a level of gameplay that cannot be match without it....in BMS with the HMCS its bad ass....Aim9Xs shooting off the the side is some cool stuff...in BS2, the ability to flight between buildings and look left and right with ease is pricesless....and its something I cant do without headtracking... Others don't need it...good for them...I'm not going to argue about that, many will say they can do all I just said without it...but I refuse to fly without it anymore.... ....a good hotas is $300-$400...add another $200 for a set of pedals.....ridiculous.... ....if you already have a joystick or gamepad and wish to take it to the next level without a loan from the bank....get your trackir next....I can play with a gamepad or cheap joystick and trackir better then I can play with a hotas and no headtracking....and I've had to do it, so that statment is no lie...
  8. Flexible Funding....this campaign will receive all funds raised even if it does not reach its goal.. ..I'm sure if it were official RRG stuff they would have announced it in order to get it rolling...most likely a copycat crime....
  9. wont see any animations?????does that mean the tubes will look empty but still fire correctly....or that they will magically reset to the loaded models....mainly the SA-10(S300) and patriots (which are not drivable).....I dont want to need 14 launchers per group.....
  10. I would like to know how long it takes for certain Sam systems to reload the launchers in order to know how many are needed for placement in specific situations... Sa-10 in the S300 system Sa-11 in the mobile system Sa-3 in the fixed launchers Sa-8 in the osd Patriot and Hawks I put ural-375 in all the groups including a atz-5 fuel truck....but I dont really see the launch tubes being refilled.... US groups get a transport truck for ammo and their fuel truck anyone know a time to reload in minutes...10...15...40..mins... I searched...sam reload...the couple of threads that looked relevant wondered off on side topics and never posted a time or if it even works...

  12. OK...I faced this also because i only wanted Yak-40s and AN-26s....but they were not next to each other on the list... I had to adjust the list (no side effects)....alls I did was copy and paste the airframes close to each other on the list then pick the sequence of numbers that related to the few aircraft i needed.....this moved the planes i didnt want to used further down the list.. ...in short...change planes 1 through 3 on the list to the planes you want them to be....move the three planes in spot 1 through 3 to the old spots you moved the needed planes from....list is still complete, just re organized to fit your needs.... ...P.S.....i also found the need to change the current skins picked for said aircraft....once again...look ingame for the skins you wish to use...copy the name exactly....add it into the script where the incorrect skin for your airframe is....

I have not done extensive controlled environment testing...but at a glance...I got IADS(grimes) at time less 2, Random Traffic (blue) at time more 6, Random Traffic (red) at time more 12,.......no problems yet...this is with also playing with the settings and spawning an aircraft every 60 seconds resulting is 30 to 40 aircraft in the air at once.....ran it for about an hour testing the aircraft ROE.....results in random spawn dont attack (already known)....but when I added to your script trying (in the past, I now have your release of GCI) to get the traffic to attack, it did make every airplane a bigger CPU load (addition of AI, but still no combat)....so I removed that ROE part and your script is actually very resource lite because the random traffic is brain dead (no AI orders).... ....so while "Random Air Traffic" did not fit my needs at first....now that I'm playing with your GCI....i find your Dumb random traffic to be perfect.....
  14. you can set which airframes you want to spawn...in my missions I make one script spawn only blue and one for only red....set the blue to only blue airfields and the red to the red airfields.... ....what you want is very possible by running the script twice, instead of trying to make it decides which is red and which is blue... ....I have the original script running AF1, AF2, AF3, and airlanehub1......the copy the same script but set it up for AF4, AF5, AF6 and airlanehub2
  15. http://www.legitreviews.com/evga-geforce-gtx-760-superclocked-w-acx-cooling-video-card-review_2240 this is a pretty good read about the 760s and has benchmarks for other games you may own... ...as for benchmarks in DCS....not really a unified way to benchmark dcs...I mean, like back in IL-2, the community use to run the "Black Death.trk"...record the min/max/avg fps and post it...giving a unified benchmarking techinic everyone used...this is not done with DCS for some reason (many reasons).... there are alot of variables with DCS....high alt in a F-15...low alt in a Uh-1....but If I have to say one or another...I will say this....you will get max frames at high alt and good frames at low alt with this card....assuming you have no weird driver or component problems integrating it with your rig....
  16. like the title....AI A10a after taking a Sa-9 to the face...limped home...put gear down....and successfully landed and taxied without wheels....hovering above the ground...like if the wheels where there.... ...pics or it never happened right????.... sorry bout the super wide screen....on a side note...it seems DCS is now taking screenshots of all monitors and not just the main....

  18. i ran both your missions...changed the su25t to AI so I could watch the launchers.....both missions the aircraft got shot down by your sams.... ....the two launchers that are the furthest away do not launch because of the distance from the radars....other then that I have no problems with you setups....no exploding on launch....now when the AI dives for the deck and the first missile loses track it does explode (self destruct after it knows it missed or knows it lost track)....but the second one normally gets him....

Backup ADI tweak ..... for blackshark gauge fix Diveplanes Shadow mod ..... adds better cloud shadows over the terrain Laser temp mod .... show the blackshark laser temp on the hud Highways Village Mod - 229th ..... this is a tweaked version that also has toby23's realistic terrain mod, but with stock fields PeterP HDR & SweetFX & Mustangs Clouds .... this is a 3 in one Ka-50 Audio Production Mod .... By Diveplane Blackshark shell port ... this is a mod that makes the spent 30mm cannon shells drop from the body of the gun instead of the muzzle Edit.....and PeterPs realist neck/head movement for trackir....but this is done through the server.lua and not in my jsgme mod folder...but still a very important modification.... I also have a blue pit for the BS, the Jtac&awacs mod for the BS, and Dtacs terrain and trees....but these last three arent active....but well worth the time......
  20. great stuff....this with your random airtraffic for civil stuff, then Grimes' air defense network makes for a real map....I'm building a map with these three elements that I can use as a template for making little "attack insurgent camp" missions for the blackshark and yet still have a full world revolving around me...love it.. one side question....you have hawk and patriot str as radars for blue (perfect cuz I use these alot)....anyway to get Sa-10 str added to the red side list.....i say this because i have missions with blue patriots and red sa-10s countering each other....and I'm working with a unit limit since I dont have a i7 at 5ghz....but I've managed to keep my template map down to less then 100 groups (more like 65) and 500 units.......I got about 40 groups of 10 for the air defense systems for the map, I'm hoping that the patriots for blue working under Grimes iads script will still function with your GCI..... ok...two questions....is there a limit to how many different radar groups are in the script....can sa-10, sa-6, sa-3, ect, ect, ect.......be added to make it so all search/track radars report to a higher power.... i did notice the.... if possibleEWRunittype == "55G6 EWR" or possibleEWRunittype == "1L13 EWR" --or possibleEWRunittype == "A-50" am I free to pick and choose whatever I want....I'm guessing it has to have a radar function... such a great idea...i just got too many questions....I'm off to see if this and iads step on each other...

I have a problem.....when I create a second script and make a AF4, AF5, AF6 and airlanehub2....adjust one script for red and one for blue....put airlanehub1 and 2 in the same spot...,,, up to this point everything sounds cool right....I launch the mission...watch the map...I have the spawn timer set to 30, 60....everything runs fine.....just one problem...the spawned aircraft dont attack anything or really defend themselves...... ....can you help me add the OPEN FIRE/FIRE AT WILL command...maybe one of the defend options (3,3) [1] = { ["number"] = 1, ["auto"] = false, ["id"] = "WrappedAction", ["enabled"] = true, ["params"] = { ["action"] = { ["id"] = "Option", ["params"] = { ["name"] = 3, ["value"] = 3, }, -- end of ["params"] }, -- end of ["action"] }, -- end of ["params"] }, -- end of [1] [2] = { ["number"] = 2, ["auto"] = false, ["id"] = "WrappedAction", ["enabled"] = true, ["params"] = { ["action"] = { ["id"] = "Option", ["params"] = { ["name"] = 0, ["value"] = 1, I cant get this working.....i think there is an easier way by using the ( Group.getByName(groupName):getController():setOpti on(0, 1)).... but I cant seem to get either of this working in this script......this script is the first DCS script I've messed with....this thing is badass...I just got to get the aircraft attacking.... If they are spawning in as CAS...will this make the fighters not target any other fighters....maybe changing the planes to CAP will get then in the fight..... ...you said something about another better script you have for CAP.....i can go back to using this for civil traffic..... ....either way....glad you got around to putting up a recent post so I can rep you....running 2-3 layers of this script has filled my single player missions I run for fun..... edit...heres my trial track...Random traffic trial.miz
  22. dont change those ones...scroll further down and change the random departure and random destination point....change from AF1 to 'AF1' also name trigger zones AF1, AF2, and AF3 here is a working version that spawns yak40 and An-26b for georgia (civilian traffic)....this works with mist3.2....just place zones AF1, AF2, AF3 and airlanehub1, then enter the airbase names into the script if you dont use the three bases I did... MIST2_0-RandAT3AF_v5.lua I'm now going to try and change the spawn point names to be able to load this script more then once...one Georgian civilian traffic...one Russian civian traffic...then military traffic....hopefully this works.... Edit....changing to AF4, AF5, AF6 and airlanehub2 worked....with the ablility to choose which aircraft spawn the possibilities are pretty endless with this script....you can make one that spawn red air power, then make one that spawns blue air power...put airlanehub1 and airlanehub2 at the same area to force a conflict.....add two more of the same script that spawn a red civilian and blue civilian air and you have a pretty populated map with running four layers of the same script

I run a EVGA 760 sc @ 5080x900 (triple 1600x900 with bezel correction) with good fps in DCS....i say good...good for DCS...30fps....I have a older cpu (q6600@3.6ghz), so a i5-i7 will see big improvements over me....this 760 was a huge step over my duel 460s in sli in all games...the 700 series is a step above the rest....highly recommended.... ....for 3 screens though, the Titan is the most recommended....it comes with 6gig vram and spreads it evenly onto all three monitors....2gig per screen......this is the best multi monitor gpu available atm....but a little on the pricey side for a commoner like myself....
