  1. One after the other or both flying in and out at random simultaneously?
  2. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=65885&highlight=helicopter+FAC I got it working but it was a combination of things mentioned above. You don't need to set callsigns and freqs... and also I deleted the stock FAC action inherent with the AFAC designation. Instead, I just put in the "FAC to designate the trucks" as you had before... removed everything else except the switch waypoint action. See if that works for you.

    AI Vehicle Movements

Eh ranger... Do what I did and start building f-15 missions instead lol.
  4. This in the beta or 127?
  5. Many servers in the beta are new and pause at start may still be configured. Press pause to resume. Dev you probably just need to go backup and delete your net related files in saved games / dcs open beta / config Remember that any shortcuts you used for your standard game will lead you to a similar looking folder for the beta- so you may make changes in 127 thinking you're making them in 128 then wonder why nothing changes.

  7. Can someone quickly remind me... how do we convert that file to make the updater think the version we have is the beta again? Sorry- Autoupdater.cfg I think but I can't remember what to change...
  8. That's the first I've heard of such a thing... but it wouldn't surprise me.
  9. Keep in mind though- it will only work the first time that position is loaded. After that you may need to respawn the unit... using MIST functions or have a few "copied" AI aircraft. You might need to set a flag if you get killed, and if that flag is true then you can spawn in the second aircraft... if you get killed again, set another flag and if that one is true and a unit is in the same zone (ie: pilot reloaded) then the next aircraft would spawn. Get what I mean?
  10. Well your unit would have to "enter the zone" when you get into the cockpit- so as soon as that position is selected and the aircraft enters the game, your AI would spawn. Alternately you could set a flag when your aircraft enters- and do a "time since flag 600" to give guys a chance to start up.
  11. Just do a unit in zone for your desired aircraft, and late activate the AI with the "in zone" condition.
  12. Make sure you out it in the right waypoint too. I've put stuff In the wrong waypoint and its easier than you think.
  13. I suggest you do "push" waypoint actions- they basically take priority. I'll link to the feature in a sec... EDIT: Here it is: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=120836
  14. How but run a mass mission to run the cut scenes showing the numbers and then a 1 on 1 mission to swap in the specific dogfight sequences?
  15. Yeah- given what you're looking to do invisible doesn't work. However if you go into perform command you can tell it to engage a specific unit / group. Unfortunately if a greater threat exists I think Grimes mentioned that the aircraft will deal with that threat first then go back to task. In some respect that's the way it should be...
  16. Invisible just means invisible to the AI... so let's say you set one "threat" that is supposed to be ignored as invisible... it's still very much there- but the AI can't engage it. for example, if I wanted to set a human JTAC up in the vicinity of enemy forces to simulate it being hidden- I could make it invisible. It's still visible to human players but AI with its magical x-ray vision would not be able to see it. Invisible is also something that can be turned on / off with a condition. So let's say you configure it to work in conjunction with a flag that turns on / off... you can set a flag to turn on at a certain point in the mission which would turn the invisible setting off so that that aircraft could be visible for the rest of the mission. Let's use my JTAC as an example: I want him to be invisible while he is in the trees but I don't want him to be able to come out of the trees and park next to an enemy vehicle... or go out into the open and engage targets with impunity. I can set up a zone around the JTAC vehicle with a condition on the invisible setting to turn invisibility off if the JTAC exits the zone. I can have invisible set on the condition that flag 1 is true... in the trigger section I'd need to make sure that while the JTAC vehicle is in the zone, flag 1 is true. When the JTAC is outside of the zone, flag one sets to false. This means that invisibility would turn off when the JTAC is outside of that zone- which should keep him in place (provided the JTAC player realizes that condition exists). If he's playing against a human- invisible setting or not, he's still visible. Make sense?
  17. Any chance you can leave the ones that are supposed to be ignored invisible?
  18. Quite often if he's alt-tabbed out for too long it will cause the whole thing to crash... client or server side. Hopefully that was the cause. There are a few other go-to's that are generally remedied with a repair and ensuring the mission loaded has been updated to the current version of DCS.
  19. Depending on how many values you have you might be able to just send message to all using the value as a condition. That's doing it the inefficient way, I know... but in the absence of alternatives I suppose the clone button can help reduce the workload.
  20. I was intrigued by this whole RAMdisk concept and doing some research on it I noticed it was stating that the data had to be saved to the SSD / HDD every time it shuts down since RAM dumps everything... The stuff I've been reading is a couple years old but I have to assume that moving 7-8gigs back and forth every time you turn your computer on and off is going to exacerbate file patency. Again- it's just something I've read... have things progressed since then? It's a neat concept and I think there's some value there but it seems it's not without its shortcomings... thoughts? West of Edson... yeah- I suppose there IS a world west of Calgary eh? lol. I've played through my phone hotspot and it worked but wasn't fantastic- then again I've worked that area before too back in the old days and coverage for cell use wasn't great either. Now that data transfer rates have been reduced to 1024-2048 in game if properly configured, it doesn't hit your data plan so hard. I run a 6 gig plan (I work out of town as well) so it's barely a hiccup to have a few sessions online. Here's hoping you can find something that works.
  21. Uh- how about we start with some system specs and a brief run down of whether this is a brand new problem... maybe a few more details... maybe his log... Is this the first time he's put up a server? Is this the first time you've tried to connect to it or others? Was it good up until now? Can you connect to other servers?
  22. Not seeing a zip?
  23. In the script at the link below the guy does have an entry for which coalition the text box can be read. I think it might help. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=120325 Just go to the area where he has his env.variables written- that might get you pointed in the right direction. you can also download and look into the script further for pointers.
  24. Would this help? http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=121373&highlight=adding+countries
  25. I hate it and love it for the same reason... it's like P90X for dorks. :pilotfly:
