This image shows the reflectivity (glossiness) from aft (most glossy) to fwd (most flat) and metallicness from left to right (pilot's view) from most to least metallic. The albido color is 35% gray. This can have a large influence for bare metal depiction and needs trial and error for each module. Note that the major influence here is the glossiness in the green channel (as far as depiction of bare metal goes). Also, the angle of the sun plays a major role as well. Again, lots of trial and error. This is the Roughmet dds. This shows the green channel (Glossiness) from Black (Glossy) to 50% gray (Matte) left to right. This shows the Blue channel (Metallicness) from White (Most metallic) to 50% Gray (Less metallic) top to bottom.

When I get a chance later I'll try and make some example screenshots.

These are really good demonstrations. However, I rarely paint the roughmet in colors prefering to work in greyscale in the Blue and Green channels. I find it more predictable that way. I wonder if you could post those same examples but showing the respective grays of the Blue and Green channels? It might be a good reference for skinners to refer to.

Copy. Sounds like there's no resolution then? No way to add codecs and hardware acceleration? I'm not concerned about performance when I'm following a tutorial.

For some (not all) videos I get the notification on screen "your browser can't play this video" but the video plays fine on my monitor in Chrome. Any ideas?

Since this is, apparently, a legal issue I understand that there will most likely be no option for either side to give any concrete information as we've seen repeatedly from @BIGNEWY and @NineLine's comments in this thread. I would assume that they are bound legally from releasing much information regarding the negotiations. I truly wish that all of this had not gone public. The old quote “Laws, like sausages, cease to inspire respect in proportion as we know how they are made,” IMHO, also applies here. I have seen no mention about the fiasco that was the Ilya Shevchenko / Kickstarter origin of DCS WWII. I was one of the contributors and could have easily written off that money but ED honored those contributions and I now have WWII aircraft (which I implore ED to put some more love into... and they have said that there IS stuff in the works). Although I do check regularly on the issue, I have no expectation that there will be meaningful information until the legal proceedings have concluded.

@Q3ark That's it! Thank you! Now I can watch Youtube tutorials while in game and switch the browser on and off. I find that if I copy the URL (from my monitor) and paste it in to the Browser (Ctrl+V) to be the easiest way to input the particular video that I want.

I had posted this in the patch feedback thread but haven't had any response. I'm thinking that a Bug Report might get more attention. I can open the Virtual Browser using the default RCtrl+V and also the buttons mapped to HOTAS (one for Open and one for Close). Once it's open I can't close it with any button or mouse cursor. I can select one of the options, Youtube for example, but can't type anything in the search window. Same for Google. Keyboard seems to have no input. Is there a Virtual keyboard somewhere? More instructions besides the short chapter in the HB F-4E Manual would be much appreciated.

Thanks for the updates! Are there any instructions about how to implement the Virtual Browser? I'm mostly interested in being able to watch Youtube tutorials while in game and being able to switch between the two.

I've noticed the same. I've had some initial success with MK-20s using 132 mil. Still playing with the CBU-87s. They seem to hit shorter than the -20s. It would be great if everyone would post their MIL settings that they find working (if they deviate from the HB Bomb Calculator) and also settings for other stuff not included in the calculator. For instance, Guns - 35 MILs.

Sorry to necropost but has anyone created a mod that mimics the "Flower" layout of the SA-2 sites? This would be a great setup for the Phantom.

Is it slated to be available in the future?

I'm wondering the same thing. The manual saws: To allow free browsing select Full for the Special Option HB UI Domain Access. I don't see "Domain Access" in the special options. Is this a future thing? This would be a great feature to be able to watch Youtube tutorials while in game.

I can't get in the plane right now but the HB Manual shows a GS indicator... EDIT: NVM, I just noticed that it's in the WSO cockpit.

I'm just curious... why wouldn't Ground Speed be the best reference?

Solved! I was one update behind... it's now downloading.

I have one PC that I use for gaming and one that is just used for making liveries. I have purchased the Phantom and installed it on my gaming rig but it doesn't show as available in the Module Manager on the second machine. I've been able to install all other Modules, Terrains, etc. on this second machine. How can I install the Phantom on this second machine?

Is this it's only function?

I backed up and then deleted everything in the "pages" folder (including the two .lua files) in c:\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\Mods\aircraft\F-4E\Cockpit\KNEEBOARD\pages Now the kneeboard is only showing my HOTAS cheetsheet, the mission maps and the relative airport charts. I'll see what happens at the next update.

Can this only be done from the back seat? From the manual: The radar cursor is used to select targets and displays the current selected range and azimuth. It is moved by the Antenna Hand Control. How can you select one from multiple targets when in the front seat?

I see that also and within it it has the folders "cache" (with a bunch of other folders / files within it), "jester" (empty) and "recorders" (with folder "avtr" which is empty. Inquiring minds want to know.

For all modules, I have a png of my HOTAS keybinds which I place in the kneeboard of each plane. With so many modules in my game, I really need this quick reference especially for new modules and ones not flown regularly. How can I make this cheatsheet the first page in the kneeboard for the F-4E? I placed the graphic in a Saved Games folder for the F-4E with a name of !!! 001 Virpil_Winwing F-4E Phantom II. I thought that the exclamation marks would place it at the front but it is buried about 20 pages in. Also, can I get rid of all of these pages that are seemingly default and I don't find helpful and actually annoying?
