Wasn´t that a stone age known thing? Try this (cant remember surely if that was working but...) .. Shoot 2 of them with "good" seperation to estimated intercept-point of human bandit break lock right after the first is launched ....and re-aquire LOCK late..... and make sure you hold it from there Ask him afterwards..what he was aware of....and what not ...hehe (delay in warnings!) Same works if you break LOCK of an 120 1-2seconds before it goes pitbull. What happens is, it will still bang the bandit with super-LO seakerhead assistance, but once the search algorythm in the seaker is "restarted" (by doing so) it will give the bandit also delayed inbound RWR warning....few seconds only, but enough to reduce his reaction parameters dramatically. Hope this reflections of given facts will not be taken as exploit-hints ! It´s how it is, made unintentionally...made purposly after analytic tests or training studies ...whatsoever...

I see...thx

Good post.

Considering what has been done in parallel independent ways (OF and FF5) including few good data improvements and all that "face-lifting" things....im also REALLY looking forward to what they NOW made out of the history. F4 is already phaszinating like hell, just had known "uggly" points.....oh man....really cant wait. :pilotfly:

specify please where flight datas of a mig-21 used (at least partially), they are not classified anyways now what means using script :music_whistling: ...workaround=? looks good yeah....days of true MAN-like combats, rather then superflapping and phaser gunning :megalol:

Will it fly like a Su-27 or like a F-15 or like a Mig-29 ?

What you think Lockheed Martin did? They optimized it putting alot $$$$ into the same idea you have but not for me, not for you or everyone else, but in regard to how the F-16 system logics are built up in first place. The thoughts dont work like that "what would i use for for what function" but "how this whole system is operating at all"...then you watch my layout above and say "wow, oh thats smart, few buttons do everything depending in which mode you are". Story will be different if you have to use padlock or view switches because you dont have TIR, THEN you can -still based on how it should be- add or change things in order being able to play the "GAME" from your perspective. Believe me.....everything else might work, but YOU HAVE TO understand the concept in that jet first. Or to say it better: This is NOT what i did, this is what the F-16 builders made, i just put that on a x52 in respect to AFs limitations and functions...

I realized, that often newcomers - and sometimes even vets - have difficulties understanding the HOTAS-Logic of the F-16 itself, and this results often in personal fantasised joystick-layouts. Nothing against it, but once the principles understood, life can be way easier. The F-16 (so in AF) has its ownz efficient layout, or should is say smart logic functionality! (the OSB 2 button is my personal choice due to the fact, that we cant use FCC-Submodes in AF on the HOTAS...but its very usefull to switch gun-modes or doing "funkey stuff" in HSD or A-G modes.. TMS left we also dont have in AF in proper usability, but we can use TMS-left as "RADAR A2A" - function to clycle between VRS, LRS, RWS modes ....) Since we also dont have a 3rd Hat-Switch on x52 to simulate the EWS or Countermeasure Switch on F-16 Hotas, i placed EWS under Mode 3, but to make it also quickly accessable i placed it on the Thrutlle Hat-Switch - PINKY RIGHT-LEFT = CHANGE PROG - just RIGHT = is CM Program RUN (release chaff-flare preset program - whatever qantities and intervals were set) there is still Thruttle-Hatswitch left free, which can be used as Idle-Detend or IFF, whatever suits best.... Note: never use (Wpn A-A) or (Wpn A-G) in AF...>> ALWAYS use ICP A-A and ICP A-G You really dont need more, because you can access everything in right ways at right time, very efficient and quickly depending in which Master- or Sub- or Override-mode or situation you are. Other things, what do not belong to the HOTAS, do just not belong to the HOTAS, even if it can be made as game-options, but my philosophy is minimized efficiency and realism, and rest can be klicked in cockpit ( what has "Gear" to do on stick? for example) and using a keyboard infront of your nose is easier then reaching for switches in a real cockpit, me thinks. As an comparsion to the real HOTAS, here a simplified and explaining pic of the real things.....showing, what functions are on which places.. This is the most to realism closest (positions and functions regarding) and most simple and efficient layout in respect to AFs limitations and aspects...i could came up with after trying MOST OF excistings Profiles out there. NONE made sense to me....and ALL where different..till i started approching this in my own way, IN RESPECT to real jet HOTAS and most efficiency to AF given functionalities. (The real F-16 HOTAS is complexer and has more features like TAB button or HOLD button etc etc) I know many have problems getting started with Falcon already here, therefore....enjoy...have fun. How you convert this into your SST Profiler (x52 or x52pro).....its up to you ;)

Do you know how the "software bussiness world works" or do you know how DCS bussiness philosophy respective to "marketings-goals" look like :smilewink: ? :music_whistling:

dont overdrive GG .....just few foundations .... giving a glimps and also ...no, even....underlining the quality of a product (of course noone requests the source code and all secrets ...but selling eggs as gold becomes old man) :smilewink:

You know what i would prefer to see (in any sim)=? A fact sheet showing, explaining and consolidating mechanics, physics and functions of things. Missiles act like this, because we did this, used this ....tested with this....its accurate here, but lacks here cuz classified...etc Flight Dynamics do this because its based on....etc etc etc....we do use this methods to simulate this and that... Everything else is mostly rubish or FAkE simulation, using simplified patterns, effects and scripts.etc etc etc ..makin it "seem" good, but act totally pfffffff off

Falcon F-16 Hotas Logic on X52 Dear comrads of russian language ..i dont speak russian :( (even not after 1L vodka) but i can understand the interest of this post. Oldflyer..you jumped in dark waters. even you may have some points right...i doubt you may get approving responds.. since there are sims....mostly the community responds in "our sim is great and best" ( a very strange phenomon ) and hard to find objective critics.... ;) from the "own lines"

Im not complaining.... cuz its NOT less then that..... there are reasons why i say 60FPS is a threshold for simming... If i would have the choice to enjoy best gfx with 25fps or fuggly gfx with 70fps...i would pick 2nd

playing a sim under 50fps ...is frustration !!! ....its...

i like the title though...:megalol:...sounds so familar

or this..... Written by an expert with more than 30 years of experience, Modern Missile Guidance contains new analytical results, obtained by the author, that can be used for analysis and design of missile guidance and control systems. This book covers not just new methods nor is it merely a compilation of older methods, although it includes both. The book discusses, in a logical progression, with its clear elucidation of the guidance laws, the entire field from missile dynamics to modeling and testing missile guidance and control systems. In contrast to existing books that discuss very simple and often unrealistic guidance system models, this book presents missile guidance models that describe more precisely the dynamics of the missile flight control system, making analytical results more effective in practice. The analysis of missile guidance system models in the time-domain and in the frequency-domain allows the generation of different guidance laws that supplement each other. Taking modern, rigorous approach that leads to improved performance in missile guidance applications, the book examines new guidance laws, and corresponding algorithms for generating and testing these laws, and includes effective new software programs developed by the author. The author provides an innovative presentation of the theoretical aspects of modern missile guidance that quite possibly cannot be found in any other book. It delineates new ideas that, once crystallized, will significantly improve missile systems performance t m if u n it......:smilewink:

Isn´t that not everytime like that... "what i dont see, i dont believe" :smilewink: with every sim ?
