  1. Noticed today... I noticed that Tatti's fuel tank for the F-15C does not dissapear when entering cloud unlike the aircraft itself. Walmis, if you modelled your F-15C with the same material perhaps we could do away with this problem and finally have a way of penetrating IMC in close formation like we should be able to! Also noticed that the canopy is VERY bright at dusk/night time. Looks very out of place. I'll post some screenshots momentarily.
  2. Ok, don't hate me for suggesting such a fine detail but... one thing that bothers me is looking back and seeing the razor thin edge of the intake ramp. I hope you can add 2 or 3 more poly's to this area to give it some depth. In the old model, and in your model as it stands, the unrealistically thin ramp makes me feel like I'm flying a paper plane.
  3. Go hog wild with the poly's I say. Its easier to start with a high poly mode and scale it down later as an alternate release. If I'm going to be replacing models I want it to be worth it. I don't see the point in anyone wasting their time releasing a model that's only marginally improved. I think the 25T should set the lower limit of model quality.
  4. Hey walmis, I uninstalled and reinstalled your mod using Modman and this time the outboard external tanks were in the right position. The centerline tank was still out of place however. Also noticed that the gear retraction animation is very slow, check out this video, they really come up quick! http://www.patricksaviation.com/videos/Guest/545/
  5. Just noticed, a few antannae missing in the new model too. Sorry to be a PITA :P
  6. Quick bug report... Notice the fuel tanks. Hope that helps. Edit: I agree that the nose looks somewhat droopy compared to some images I've seen where it appears so very subtly eg: Edit Edit: Or maybe not? Either way, you've done one hell of a job walmis!
  7. Except that, as has been established on this very forum some time ago, the photos are fake. :megalol: Sorry, couldn't help myself, someone had to say it :P.
  8. Congrats! Excellent job walmis. I'm truly amazed how dedicated you have been to this project. Don't be discouraged by all the details people are going to point out, with such an ambitious project there are bound to be things that go overlooked the first time around. Keep up the good work!
  9. There are only two types of pilots, those who have never landed with gear up, and those who have. I pray to god every day that I don't join the second group. "Speed's good, gear down, latched... 3 green no red." :pilotfly:
  10. Could you provide more details? I attempted this before but the software I used did not allow for a sufficiently large volume to be created. I have 2GB and it's frustrating to see the commit charge floating around 600 and still experiencing occasional stutters.
  11. If a tree falls in a forest and hits a mime, does anybody care?
  12. How about integrating the afterburner effect into the burner can animation?
  13. Any news iViper? Unlike SuperKungFu, I'm not very patient at all :P.
  14. Just imagine, an F-15C that looks as smokin' as the F/A-18. Drool.
  15. Those look so damn sexy! Can't wait to install them! Any chance of doing a complete F-15C rebuild to match ;)?
  16. Yeah, lol. Sorry for contributing to the derailment of your thread mate. Good luck with the squad.
  17. Definitely pre-911. 1998 back when I was part of an Air Cadet sqdn here (at the ripe young age of 13). First time being up close and personal with a real fighter was with a Langley F-15, although I'll admit, they didn't let us very close ;). Anyway, thanks to the experience I'm pretty much a fighter pilot now. I'm glad I don't have to go ahead and prove myself during years of service. I might go write the aptitude test for the RCAF just to seal the deal, who knows, if I do GrayGhost will probably give ME an IP slot! :P Edit: Rhen can you confirm that spelling and grammar are NOT on the ASVAB?
  18. Yeah I can wait, already had a chance to play FSX at the Canadian Aviation Expo about a month back and I'd rather not pay into FilePlanet; there will be an open beta shortly behind you can be sure.
  19. Umm... details please! I think it's safe to say I fall into that category. Anyway, I toured Langley once... so, uh, when do I get my wings?
  20. Ribbon trails are planned for a future version, Vyrtuoz has confirmed this in another thread. :D
  21. Yeah, we sunk that and about 12 other ships too :P.
  22. ggg, I have both of those mods (as well as the leather skirt mod ;)) and as rlogue, who I fly with often, will testify, my ability to remain in close (fingertip) formation, increased exponentially once I had everything installed. The stick is incredibly smooth with IJ's gimbals and the HS eliminate all axis spiking. The leather skirt just looks badass ;) but it's also nice to not have the extra pressure created by the rubber boot.
  23. wow that's a lot of posts... someone needs to be patient and let pages load! If you're thinking about a Cougar, make sure you're seriously thinking about spending at least $100 US on aftermarket mods (Hall Sensors) if not more ($300 US for Uber II Nxt) to replace the stock gimbals as well. It seems like you've looked into that already though and are aware of the Cougar's flaws. Other than that it's a great stick, I won't ever regret buying one.
