  1. Grimes, are you aware of the spelling error in your very nice signature ;).
  2. Congrats TekaTeka, well deserved!
  3. Sad news indeed. RIP
  4. Yes, I can confirm... LOMAC is a real time sink.
  5. "You have given out too much reputation in the last 24 hours"... sorry TekaTeka, you'll have to wait :P
  6. Glowing fences... I think I already did :P Anyway, since you are on such a roll with these mods TekaTeka, I thought I would run this by you and see if you had any ideas. When flying a mission where there is fog (300m thickness, 1000m density in these screenshots but any fog will produce the effect), fences around buildings and airbases begin to "glow" when viewed from a sufficiently high angle. If you bring the view down, the fences stop glowing... ... and here are two more screenshots to show where the threshold angle lies... No Glow: Glow: Hopefully you can work some magic on this issue too! :pilotfly:
  7. Exactly how much rep must I spread before I can give to TekaTeka again?? Thanks for the great mods!
  8. Thanks! Edit: Doh, gone again... anyone know where I can grab 1.12b?
  9. I went looking for a hard copy of the game at the local EB games today with no luck. Desperate times call for desperate measures :(. Surely they could host the serials database elsewhere and point Starforce there in the meantime...
  10. So incredibly frustrating...
  11. Affected by this too... highly annoying. I was about to e-mail StarForce for support but I see that won't help. Copy protection ftl. Good luck resolving the ISP issues!
  12. 3.) Wait for FighterOps :P Only kidding, I've been following this thread and its a shame to see things work out this way. I hope something works out in the end. I really enjoyed Walmis' model :(. Good luck!
  13.
  14. Anyone willing to post the changelog and screenshots, my Lock On PC is inop.
  15. lol, this is hilarious... starting to wish I hadn't subscribed to this thread, my inbox is full of "hitman_214th has replied", "corsair7662 has replied", "hitman_214th has replied" etc... Anyway, thanks to the initial posters, I will follow up on those sources for sure (I'd seen breif engine info in the back of Jane's all the world's aircraft but never thought to look for a volume on engine's alone). CrazieAggie, if you come across those white papers again let me know, I've searched but haven't found anything yet. To Brit, thanks for the suggestion on the J-58, I have the option to change the engine I'm focussing on up until the due date, with the information you passed on it's definitely a viable alternative.
  16. lol, didn't realize how old this post was!
  17. Not only that, but now I will be able to easily convince my Russian friend to come fly with me in Lock On, since he flies civil a/c only.
  18. Part of my flight propulsion course requires that I write a report on a gas turbine engine. Being a lover of the F-14 I have chosen to discuss the Pratt & Witney TF-30, which powered (or rather, underpowered) the F-14A. Even though the GE F-110 was the engine that really made the F-14 shine, I decided not to report on this engine as it is still in widespread use and I expect information on it to be much harder to come by. I'm now in the process of gathering as much information about the TF-30 as possible. I know there are many knowledgeable and connected people frequenting these forums so I figured it would be a good place to ask for help. If anyone has any links, images, or knows of any books with information pertaining to this engine please don't hesitate to post them, they will be greatly appreciated. Thanks, AJ
  19. Looks like EVE-Online.
  20. What's a virus scanner?
  21. Good eye willy!
  22. To me the areas just ahead of the nozzle's (gold and silver areas) look far too perfect. I know you're trying to emulate the shine of the actual part but right now they stick out like a sore thumb and could use some weathering or something.
