I am going to attach the two logs from then (last night), it appears, it stopped making one log and started another.. and I read them... but I didn't understand what info, in those logs help,, but then again I am not trained for understanding the logs.. I fiddled around trying to figure out how to save the missions,, what would happen was the radio freq for the airbase would not seem to work, and I would try with another frequency in the mission builder for the aircraft (from the list of radio frequencies for each airbase, from the list), and I would also try another airbase, nothing helped,, and then I figured out some way to save them without the error, but i had to do some manipulation, so I could save the message without the error 'invalid freq' popping up.. at this moment my mind is drawing a blank... the problem wasn't solved, or fixed, I just finally found a way to save and close the mission builder. thank you. ;)

btw,, I put it in the FC3 forum, because I installed these aircraft with FC3 then added then aircraft, and never saw the errors over all these years of making missions,, before FC3, never had these errors.... :huh:

I found a list of old instructions: (are these still valid.. stil have to figure out which editor works). Procedure for Changing Georgia from Red To Blue. Search for coalitions Georgia is #16 Move it from the Red to Blue Renumber to last number in Blue +1 Renumber Red as needed. Next search for “red =” Move the first group to the end of the section above. Renumber Red as needed. (2,3, 4 to 1,2, 3) Group 2 (new 1) is near the top of this section. Group 3 (new 2) is Russia and is by far the longest. This section ends near the bottom. Scroll to the bottom and find “end of 3” Change this to 2 and the following group from 4 to 3 Reform the zip file Rename to miz Fire up and test.

which utility to edit mission 'miz' files ? I tried notepad ++ and editpad lite. Any suggestions? thanx

Looking for directions on changing coalitions at start of mssion building. I thought i had some instructions saved on procedures, and I searched the Internet and forums already. I just wanted to take some Russian aircraft and use them on allied side. thanx.. :helpsmilie:

Mission Builder error Invalid Freq with A-10C. After adding FC3, and everything seems good, went into mission builder adding objects and aircraft, red and blue sides. Get message that when I add A-10C I get error when trying to save mission 'invalid Freq' I tried changing freq, match airbase, and when I try to save stil get error. I am trying ot add A10-C and A-10A at same base, also other aircraft, Ka-50, F-15C, etc... I have never seen this before I checked and unchecked several options, but still get error in mission builder when trying to save. :doh: anyone know what is going on? I am baffled.. :huh:

Is there a way to add weapons from other aircraft on an F-15C? Is there any way to make it act like an F-15E with ground weapons. The reason I ask is because in the Ka-50 we can add air-to-ship missles (I forgot the name of those missles), even though they are not standard. I am not talking about hacking codes,, or mods.... (or mods per se.) Just wondered if you can do it without making it hack? (does that make sense)? Taking weapons from one aircraft, and somehow adding them to another aircraft. Thanx... :joystick:

What's with the nitpicking about coefficients and drag worries,, if you strap on externals, all that stuff is out the window.. turn or no turn.. FC2 was not a failure, most everyone enjoyed it very much... IMHO :joystick:

Saitek pedals toe brake spring connector broke Saitek pedals toe brake spring connector broke. The Saitek stick and pedals seem to be very good for about 2 years of easy use. I am in my 50's and am not heavy and do not abuse anyt of my flight sim equipment. I just get sad because the cheap palstic parts just start wearing and breaking starting about 2 years or later... and the average people only has basic hand tols. Besides you can't fix proken plast, only jerry rig stuff to make it last until we can afford new stuff. This morning I went to try my latest new addon, Faliming Cliffs 3 to my DCS series. The right side toe prake, pedal, stuff,, was not returning to the proper position ont he right pedal. I opened them up and found the cheapo plastic part where the return spring hooks just broke off... Three hours later and trying to jerry rig the sring back in any way to help pull the pedal back when you lift your foot after pressing the toe down a smidge... It barely has enough tension now, but when I list my toes on the right pedal it lifts back like it should but slowly, and you can tell the spring has only a tiny bit of pull, If I tried to make it have stroner pull it might cause more damage. The people who make theplastic parts should be ashamed of themselves for such a miserable job of using cheap plastic and cheap design, Making built in short life under easy use. Imagine if I were much heavier and stronger, these parts would disingrate so easy. Saitek... stop (madcatz for a few years now) ,making palstic so crappy! Add two cents worth of plastic to make it stonger over there in countries that pay slave wages! Don't let the customer have parts that break so easy, making the customers think twice about buying Saitek. Whover makes the decsions on quality needs to be fired, period. We spend an average of about $300 to get a flight stick and pedals. An extra two bit for either more plaist or better palstic is better than thousands of angry customers. IMHO IMHO

We (at least my Squad) need an allied SEAD capable aircraft (F-16x, FA-18x, F-15E) and while FC3 has a fast mover..... it is lacking, and if I spend the small amount of cash now, and in a few weeks someone introduces the Allied SEAD aircraft, then I am having to find that money again. Do I wait, or just buy FC3 thinking the needed aircraft is a long ways off... I wish the powers that be could provide some type of possible time table. A ' Guesstimate '... would be extremely helpful on when and what... Dilema !! :doh: of course I have no clue what features might be added to FC3 while in Beta that are not already part of it... so there maybesoemthing I am going to regret if I odn't take advantage, but I did not take advantage of other offering and missed out on Nevada map. I have gotten other goodies in the past and feel like I have lots of goodies. Decisions, Decisions!!

with limited funds, if I knew what was coming next I could figure out how best to get what I desire... example,, I want a USA Frontline SEAD capable fighter (ground attack and Air support , A-G and A-A) but if I spend the money on FC3, and a few short months later they release that one, that I maynot be able to get it... It looks like what comes in FC3 is going to stay that way with no more aircraft added to FC3. Just not sure what to do. Since I already have LOMAC, FC1, FC2, DCS World, P-51D, A-10C, BS1, BS2. Now should I wait for the new USA Fighter hopefully with SEAD, or get FC3? Dilemas,, Dilemas.. decisions.. decisions.. :doh::joystick:

has the boat switch settings white and black heat changed since new patch? The intensity seems different when dailing in the different heat settings of the targets using the Boat switch in the A-10C since the new patch 1.22. While our squad was flying with the new patch last night, it seems there were lots of changes, graphics seemed different, maybe the coloring tone of graphics? Washed out maybe too strong, but just not as strong color. :huh:

that film needs a warning.. just not sure what to say,, I think it somehow dropped psyco drugs into me through my eyeballs.. :helpsmilie: and that bell sound didn't help either..

hi, firs tof al I am not saying other people profile are good, bad, etc.. in fact anyone who works har ona a profile and offers it up deserves thanx... big time specially to those who ar enew to Saitek... and find it a difficult task.. I have been using Saitek many years and have had many Saitek sticks.. (HOTAS). But, often, I find that the only profile I am satisifed with turns out to be my own. One big problem is after a while the sticks wear and they spike. Period. yes I know they have pots that are not supposed to spike, but whatever they are, they wear out.. and then you get al kinds of funny (sad) things happening. The you a choice with most games, flight sims, etc... to either program the SST stick software, or in-game controls, or both.... That's the way it is with Saitek sticks..... whent they are new they are pretty nice, but as they wear.... or with time, or both, the problems happen... that's just the way it is... If someone has aprofile that you want but have problems, try to tweak it... you might still get to use it with some slight mods to the profile. Either that or put the time in and program your controls,, it usually takes a long time to get them just right.. not just an hour or 2,3, 8,10. It takes weeks and months of tweaking. IMHO btw, keep back-up copies of profiles.. :doh:

If I ever get a new computer, and give this (old computer) to my wife who hates my old Pentium 4... I will once again use up activations, for which I don't mind.. but using up activations for no reason at all and having to go through all the steps wondering if I bungled a simple install, because of (legal, lethal, strong) drugs, age, stupidity, oversight... etc... :huh:

Update.. I ended up having to re-activate all products... at least they are all working,, DCS is still the best flight sim prodcut out to buy and fly.. regardless of the activation stuff.. during uninstall and re-install.. :thumbup: I di dnot de-cativate any product, I uninstalled dcs and then installed the new dcs, then all the rest of the dcs products, now when I I go to play it is asking me to activate each one... I also rebooted several times... before installing the new dcs stuff I renamed my users/dcs folders.. but it never made anew folder it just installed the newer stuff into my renamed folder regardless, it still wants me to use an activation even though I never deactiviated,,, I will try on more thing I wil try single player first,,,, maybe you have to run single playe rmode first.. I have been running DCS products since Flaming Cliffs came out 10 years ago, and the installs still never go perfect... here goes.... :doh:

take your time,,, while I want it now, I have mor ehtan enough great toys... but some of our missions and cmapains were oginally built to include FC2.0 airacrft.. so, wil wil defintely need FC3.0 to repairs the missing FC2.0 aircraft in DCS. Plus, my cash isn't here yet,,, so all is well.. and x-mas looks better , with anticipation.. FC 3.0 is highly anticpated by many people in our squad.. :pilotfly:

nevermind, I found another thread which took me to a link, which for some reason fixed, it, not sure what happene,, but it's fixed, I hope and think.. ===== forum shows Russian text, but my IE9 Browser is set to English ! but a lot of it is in Cryllic.. btw, my Google Browser does not have that problems, al is in English.. I only read English.. attach is an exmple, but lots of the webpage text is in both languages.. and it only happen in the Eagle forums.. not other websites.. :doh:

almost all my engines failures are actually from the golden BB.... flying over some target and one stinkin piece of lead hits the planes in the perect kill spot... magically,,, and unless you can find the tiny hole... you never actually find out where in the engine it was hit... the engines just poops out... There is not much you can do,,, other than avoiding circumstances where you might get hit by guns... (that's liquid cooled engines in war...) :doh:
