we still have members having the gun recticle sitting too low (only 1/2 showing above the bracket, and dashboard panel) in the Mustang. We can't understand why no one is is having and/or reporting this problem.

don't get pissed, this is my opinion only,,, but, after 14 years of Saitek equipment, I say CH, Thrustmaster, etc... don't get Saitek,, the plastic became really cheap a few years ago, and parts break and wear to easily.. they actually work really good for the first couple of years but then the plastic start breaking and parts go bad... and I am not strong or large by any means,, and I am gentile with the stuff.. I could not imgine if I were big and strong and manhandled Saitek flight stick and pedals.. they would crumble... I guess when Madcatz bought it they cut back on strong plastic to save a few cents in some slave labor camp... and not much you can do when it breaks, mickey mouse it or buy new ones again... :joystick: IMHO

last night I joined the squad server (hosted by TopGun, squad member) and the P-51D recticle was good, (no problems). But, the host tried the P-51D, and still had the problem.

Recticle sits too low in P-51D im multiplayer.. At first for a long time the gun recticle was right, no problems, then a few weeks ago (not sure exactly when)... the recticle appeared lower than the dash, and out of view. In single player offline,. all is ok. But, when you join a multiplayer the gunsite, recticle sits so low, you either only see the top half of the circle or none at all depending whether it is set to auto, gyro, or manual setting. But, either single player or joining a multiplayer the gunsite is not usable. I am surprised no one else has had this problem, and or reported it. Out whole squad, who has the P-51D has this problem. Sorry, I don't have a photo right now, but hopefully will get a photo, snapshot, or someone else can post one. Thanx..

it is difficult to find out what each patch is updating, with new patches every few days or week... I suppose the log files will show what's in the patches each patch ?? thanx..

too me this thread sounds like people want the effects from a radial engine on a liquid cooled inline... these are smooth running engines and do not lope... a smooth power band up and down the range... the only thing that sucks is the golden bb will always kill the glass jaw... there is no flaming, huffing and puffing... not with this plane... sure there is the blue flames out the exhaust,, that's all... if there is huff and puff, it's blowing up... :doh:

It has been several years since I tried an open server. Mostly, people are good, but I seem to find the big a-holes and jerks.. case in point, I just tried an open server for the first time in several years. I quit flying other servers and open servers, because of jerks. Well I tried an open server, it was list as training for all, I figured it might be fun get in fly have fun and practice. Wrong! I jumped in started my P-51 engine and all of a sudden I was strafed badly,,, I then came back with a new plane and thewsame jerkoff was circling and coming back. I wil never ever again go to other servers,,,, Our squad has been inviting and sharing, letting people join campaigns and such... but we don't just screw people while they start engines we don't even screw with you when you take off... Some things never change... I guess I am getting old and forgetful, stupid me thought people we better after all the idiots were told to stop being stupid .. apprently they never wised up.. I doubt the people who run that server had that in mind for people to join and ruin their server... I won't name anything... but everyone knows who they are.. :huh:

yes, I held back, but have had enough of this problems the game now doesn't even see bs1.... when I try to update my bs2, after the patch (1.24) it gives me activation error) this upgrade thing is a mess and is making people pay 2x. I finally got it working,, I went in a deleted bs2, and re-installed it again... now everything seems too work offline.. I swear I will get bs2 and pay 2x when the deal comes around again... just too big of a hassle

add me to the list,,, it will not see black shark 1 when I try to get bs2 up and running after the patch (1.24) ... I all I get is the same damned activation message as posted above.... I spent about 6 hours,,, it's a mess :( I finally got it working.. I will end up buying it again the next time the FULL bs2 deal comes around, the hassle is just big,,

Same here,, I have BS1 installed updated and fully working,, when in DCS and upgraded, it refuses to see BS1 !!!! I know this has been hashed over many times, but those of us that upgraded BS1 to BS2, have been going through this nightmare dance every time we get an update, of having to show we have BS1, and going though the hell dance, over and over and over and over again,, and I know that if we buy BS2, even though we already bought it as an upgrade, it might stop the shafting each time the upgrades comes along, but why can't we just be treated as equals!? Just make it so we are official BS2 owners and not 2nd class pilots who upgraded and must dance... Just very frustrated of the same thing every time,,, :cry:

it's downloading,, not breaking any records.. I have RoadRunner Turbo, but still is averaging about 50 kb/s :doh: on a good download this thing will rock up to around 900 kb/s ... I want to go this route with update, so hopefully, I wil not have to redo any key and stick settings,, or else I will just snap... I had enough of that,,, especially with 3 or 4 sims with so many settings and the old Saitek is getting nitpicky on buttons..

I went into the user/.../autoupdate.settings and changed the name to : ' autoupdate.settings.old ' and now the autoupdate widow comes up.... I remember that sometimes the user has to play with some files in some sims,,, I guess some files get corrupted or something,, who knows but that seems to fix that.. :huh:

the auto updater will not work for me.. I remember it used to... is there some way to reset the problem.. when I launch it now it only launches the sim.. thanx..

Saitek with Win8 and DCS. I have had some weird problems happen in DCS only with my Saitek X52 Pro and DCS series with Win8. I have had to either reboot, or unplug and plug my stick back in (USB), or just have the stick not respond especially when trying to change profiles on the fly. Weird things going on. In the past before Win8 and the Newest DCS updates recently I thought al my profiles were working well for al the DCS aircraft, only item I don't have is combined arms. Something got screwy, as it al happened when I got a new computer, upgraded to Win8, and uninstalled the old DCS and installed the latest DCS and modules. anyone else have command issues with al the new stuff, combined with the Saitek X52 series? btw, there is a new Saitek SST version out (Win 8 . (drivers are still the same version).

well they released new drivers again: 314.22, but I still have 314.07. I am sticking with mine for now.

update: sorry, I suppose this should have been posted in the bugs thread.. woops! ========== this sim has been giving several of in our squad some weird occurances ... since the big patch.. the SU-25 had a weird takeoff, where it jumped up off the runway half way down a runway on takeoff 60% fuel and al weapons loaded to the max,, usually it take al the runway and prayers.. some other weird things, the netcode caused some of us to get kicked in the middle of a game,, but the host did not have any problems. other weird things, sorry, no log,, or better info.. one thing I need to mention is that my online history of IP connections is never saved.. I always have to type in the host i.p. address, even though we almost always have the same host and same IP. Why does it not save a history? I remember a long time ago that feature worked.. and worked good... then a long while back it got flaky, then totally stopped working.. :joystick: Thanx,

need stock keyboard control file for dcs,, some of my controls for some aircraft are not working from the keyboard and are missing the keys,, it will not let me set the keys for example, I cannot set the ralt+spacebar for release on the A-10A on FC3... where is the original control file located so I can load it up ? (for the keyboard,, I can set my joystick stuff). Also when I save controls it does not save them for all aircraft, only for one each file? is that normal? thanx... Only DCS item I don't have is CA (Combined arms). and some of my controls work properly for some aircraft, others (Like said, like the A-10A) is one I am unable to set some keys in the controls.. so, I need to find and load the stock keyboard controls file.. thanx again..

Hi, I am not picking on your post, but very curious, what else needs improving,, it is pretty amazing to me.... but of course there are always some little things that either we don't think about, don't know about, or could be better,, I just don't know of any... and if there are they are insignificant. Is there a list of things needing fixed, added, etc? (Oh yeah, there is a bug list fort all aircraft, but no show stoppers..). IMHO

update: I rebooted and went back in and tried a default setting, so far it looks ok.. I have to keep trying different a/c. I also had to reboot so it would allow me to use clutch.. I hope that it was just stuck..
