  1. I have been using these (http://www.electronicsurplus.com/gould-27m748-potentiometer-20k-ohm-with-po-po-push-on-push-off-switch?___SID=U) and they will fit but only just as there isn't too much room as Deadman says (http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1853329&postcount=39). The Adrian_GC mentioned will probably also fit. One benefit with the Gould ones is that that they have thin shaft 1/3" which can be used with original knobs. Drawback is shiiping from the US. Haven't found them in EU, sorry :-( Cheers Hans
  2. Yes if you cycle through them but OP was asking if there was a feed back from the aircraft that the mark point had succesfully been created. If you have your current steer point at e.g. A then IIRCC the HUD doesn't change when you make a new mark point. Cheers Hans
  3. How do you get it to show up in the HUD when you make the mark point? I can get my current steer point to flash when making an overhead mark point but other than that I cannot get any indication. Maybe I am not setting the A/C correctly. 'Z' is last weapons release. Cheers Hans
  4. Yes you can see the it on you CDU. It wil automatically show the last created mark point. cheers Hans
  5. Excellent Sir, I will look forward to hear your test result. Will be interested in hearing what else is causing it as the only thing I am doing to the aircraft in the YT is to set the flaps into MV position. Cheers Hans
  6. Nope never found that part in the manual. It's based on what I have experienced over time. Just made this small test; Just tested. It's not possible to launch an AGM when having flaps deployed. There is a launch interlock. Cheers Hans
  7. May also be a dual mapping issue. Analogue inputs from joysticks gets auto mapped for bank and pitch. Check you mapping to ensure that bank and pitch haven't been assigned to two different joystick. Cheers Hans
  8. Excellent work as always Warhog. Will be following progress with interest  Cheers Hans
  9. With regard to your laser stops firing, what was your airspeed? If you have you flaps in MV and drop air speed too low they will deploy. Deployed flaps will cause the laser to stop firing similar to the AGM's wont launch with flaps down. Whether flaps-laser is RL behaviour I don not know. Cheers Hans
  10. I tried some time back and it didn't work for a second flight plan at least. Would be nice if that had changed. Cheers Hans

  17. May be this; https://ultramfcd.com/ Cheers Hans
  18. Looks awesomely close to the real deal ClayM. Outstanding work Sir Cheers Hans
  19. My understanding for flying in different formations is mutual support which include look out responsibillities, ie. who is has primary responsibillity for looking for threads in which area so that both pilot in a 2-ship aren't focused at the same area. Close formations during combat doesn't make much sense. But you would still be in a formation even though the separation between you and lead is 1-1½nm, (e.g. Wedge or Line) or 1-3nm in Trail. Take a look at the document Snoopy linked to on Figure 3-36 you wlll see there are plenty combat formations and none of them are closer than 500ft. Cheers Hans
  20. Actually there are three ways to align. The third is FAST. Once the CDU have finished initialising, and started on the alignment press INS on LSK-R9. Then press ALT ALGN (Alternate Alignment) on LSK-L5 followed by FAST on LSK-R3. The FAST alignment takes 1.4 minutes and is less accurate. I don't think the accuracy is modelled in DCS though. The FAST option is only available during the first minute or less. Once the normal alignment has gone beyond a certain point you can't choose FAST anymore. Cheers Hans
  21. You cannot in the modded Suite. Later versions of the real A/C you can IIRCC - Press OSET on the CDU. - Select the waypoint you want to make an offset from, eg. 2049 BULLSEYE - Enter magnetic heading and distance as MMMDDD, e.g. 180005 is heading 180 from select waypoint for 5 NM - Type in the name you want the new waypoint to be called - Copy as new waypoint by pressing ?* on LSK-R7 - Press FPM on the CDU - Toggle LSK-L3 []01 to change between AUTO and MANUAL - Press LSK-R3 to enter the fligh plan it self. - If you have already made some waypoint then either press 1 (for first waypoint in the database OR type the name of the waypoint. - Once 1 OR name is in the scratchpad press left of []01 to enter into the flight plan. Continue until you are done. - If you type in a wrong waypoint, simply click on it to the left of the [] and then press CLR ot clear it. - Yes set you AAP panel PAGE knob into MARK Cheers Hans
  22. Hi Slydog 486, No all the waypoint should be accesable from any flight plan. Same goes with Mark point. They are all just stored in the CDU and then you can call them up as you like. Cheers Hans
  23. Good write up Slydog486. A few comment if I may. For this operation it doesn't matter in which position your STEER PT is in. The STEER PT only affects which group of waypoint you cycle through For this operation it doesn't matter in which position your STEER PT is in. You must though have the PAGE knob into OTHER to select the OSET page. Secondly using the DATA rocker will change the elevation from DTS. To change the selected offset location use the + and - key on the CDU. After you have changed to BULLSEYE (WP 2049) set the HHHDDD Before copying to a new waypoint. For this operation it doesn't matter in which position your STEER PT is in. But that set asside good writeup Cheers Hans
  24. Not really much of an update on the pit building. But did manage to get the fuel panel ready for hooking up with DCS-BIOS. Thinks just started taking a lot longer than they used to. Just cleaning it up with water/vinegar solution. Since the fuel handle in the real A/C is mechanical I had to make a little setup for getting the electrical feed back. So a bit of fiddling with some aluminum plates, got some good advice from DM and it looks alright and works nicely. Nothing fancy but it works. The handle knob itself I bought years back from DM years but never got around to install it on my mockup. The connectors I found in Croatia, origin is Russian but works nicely for this panel. Eventually I will have to try out the RS485 setup with DCS-BIOS but for now just keeping it nice and simple. Cheers Hans
