  1. The HUD glass texture is actually moddable. If you'd like, you can try to darken the HUD glass texture (the RGB channels) which should make the HUD stand out better against dark backdrops. This modification should pass Integrity Checks.
  2. We are aware of this unfortunate issue and are working hard on resolving it. We will be requesting another hotfix patch to DCS.
  3. It's been 4 days, fixes take some time to propagate through our own QA to the game branch itself.
  4. Write me directly at nicholas.dackard@gmail.com with your key and proof of purchase and I will refund you.
  5. I don't think this will change. It's quite accurate with regards to how effective the HUD is with bright backgrounds in reality.
  6. Threads are now merged. We're working hard on this issue.
  7. We cannot replicate this internally. We're unsure as to the cause presently and are investigating why the released builds are behaving erratically.
  8. It's a fairly decent assumption - but it does not hold true in our case. Most of our stuff is very much custom, a design philosophy that we've carried through the development of the Viggen and into the F-14. We don't see the F-18 influencing F-14 development much, with perhaps the exception of new functionality that does not exist at all in DCS world or improvements to some weaponry (e.g. AIM-7)
  9. There is an issue that will be fixed with the patch coming tomorrow (6/8)
  10. Hotfix incoming on Friday with a fix for this issue.
  11. Unfortunately this patch is based on a revision just prior to us fixing this issue. Very disappointing - apologies everyone. There will be a patch hotfix on Friday for this + a bunch of other Viggen improvements.
  12. Today's patch should include the fix for the CTD issue. EDIT: May not have been pulled.... investigating...
  13. Crap - i had forgotten about this one. Fix inc!
  14. Fixed internally, pending next patch.
  15. Full campaign will be on Caucasus.
  16. Progress on the J-35 is currently slow due to team commitments to the F-14 - but we've made large strides in the background and should have something to show towards a fall. Again, the J-35 is being built to standards we set for flyable, full modules; so it takes us quite a while. Pilot body is currently being posed, boned and animated. Hopefully one of the next patches. The Sound overhaul is happening; but we're trying to get on location with one of the SWaFH -37's to capture the real thing. We have great samples currently, but we're hoping to be able to fill in the gaps. This year for sure, prior to removing EA tag. We decided to rewrite one section of the manual as it was considered substandard by our proof-readers. In fact, I even added it being done to the changelog, as this was a last minute decision. I'll update you on the manual in the next 2-3 days. EDIT: The section rewrite is complete. It shouldn't be long.
  17. This is just a raw recording session. The RIO voice is post processed (as seen in the Valley Run video)
  18. Dear All, For quite some time now; we’ve been working hard on making JESTER AI a reality. One of the biggest parts of this undertaking is for us to build a comprehensive and realistic voice library, and for the past year, we’ve had a dedicated team at Heatblur doing just that, in the form of Grayson Frohberg (RIO Voice) and Aleksander Studen-Kirchner (Director). In order to ensure the most natural performance and realism; we decided to approach our recording process in a unique way. By placing the director (Aleksander) into the pilot cockpit and Grayson into the RIO position, and subsequently placing the duo into appropriate combat or non-combat scenarios, we are able to more naturally record voice lines as opposed to dry reading in the studio. Virtual reality helps make the strain of head movement and confusion have a subtle yet important impact on the delivery of certain lines, while natural pauses and hesitation become more apparent and serve as good reference on the engineering side. Today, we’re reaching the first of our milestones on the recording and creation process of our voice library. Much effort is being made to ensure that JESTER’s speech sounds natural, and much of our current focus lies with refining existing functionality and adding lots of variations to currently implemented calls. For this, our process focuses on plenty of repetition and repeating the same statement multiple times at a time, and then extracting the lines that we feel will fit well. While we work on unveiling the “new”, non-chromecat-branch F-14 - enjoy this behind the scenes look at the recording process for JESTER AI recorded over the past year! Stay Tuned! HB
  19. We're prototyping JESTER functionality for LANTIRN, hopefully the AI will be able to effectively operate the pod if we launch with LANTIRN.
  20. Today we found out that some packages got delayed due to our local post office misplacing one of the batched boxes. If you are worried about your package or unhappy about the long shipping time, please get in touch! Apologies for the inconvenience.
  21. Here's the current, more comprehensive list: Fix to high drag bombs not releasing when waypoint is last before L-Waypoint. 22. It's WIP; unfortunately we're still working on figuring out parts of the new Weapons API. I believe this is now a high priority for RagnarDa. I'll check with the team shortly on the remaining issues!
  23. Hi everyone, Just a quick update on why the English cockpit livery is not yet ready; We're working on merging together and revamping the entire structure of the Viggen's cockpit textures and UVs. This will improve performance moving forward. It's a pretty involved and lengthy process, and we need to complete this before we launch the English cockpit. Do note that this will break any current Viggen cockpit mods once it's implemented, so we'll be swift with making sure that the EN cockpit is available. Thanks for your understanding and patience, HB
