Might be quickest if you download the file then scan it with your own virus scanner. MS is not known for liking software it didn't write :)

I had the same problems with the CBU's than I read the post about changing the oepning altitude of the CBU's and they've been working a charm. I have them open at 700ft and drop them in CCRP (I'm no CCIP fan) and I've managed to kill 3 T-72s with 1 GBU-97 on several occasions (they need to be close enough together, of course).

He does need a way to slow down now, doesn't he? At least this way he's always certain his engines can reach full throttle :music_whistling:

This works for the Hog but also for the nasty guys shooting at the hog (unles they're really suicidal :) )

I don't see why you'd use CCIP for a CBU type ammo. It needs to open at a certain altitude so if you take too much time aligning during the dive there won't be a valid solution since they won't be able to open. I always use CCRP with CBU ammo so I can drop from high and far away (I hate manpads!!) and still achieve a good kill. What'd be the advantage of going CCIP with CBU ammo? (Except for the good old Stuka bomber feeling?)

I can never find targets from Bullseye callouts
Nerull replied to Stacker's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
I've had this situation in some of the missions I downloaded where the targets were moving tanks/IFV's/.... You get the position at the time of the call but then you have to start looking. In case they started on the road it's rather easy because you just have to follow the road in the direction they should be going. It's not point and kill, you have to search for the targets, otherwise it'd be too easy:music_whistling: -
If I show this to my daughter she'll want to start simming too :p
-
You'll only have to remp the stick functionalities, logically, since the stick and throttle are separate USB units. The WH throttle is awesome. Playing the game with the WH and the Cougar MFCD has shown me the engineers of the A-10C put a lot of thought in the ergonomy of the cockpit.

The mouse is on the same level as the stick's bottom so it's actually a little low. I'm going to buy a trackball for simming but I'm trying to figure out a way to add a platform at keyboard height for FPSing (not a verb, I know :p).
-
Lol. Thanks but it's actually a regular keyboard but the plastic kind of wore of where I usually put my hand, giving the "camo" look on the pictures. Which image storage site is better than flikr? I don't usually save pics on the net so I don't have a clue.
-
I posted them with the flikr link. Anybody else unable to see them?

I've been drooling over your awesome pits for a while and wanted to build one as well....until I realized I'd have to kick my wife out of the office to fit a simpit in it... Then I saw a few images of simdesks and..... here's mine: So far I'm only exporting my MFCDs but I'm planning on filling my lower screen.

The way he's going he'll put a motion platform under his house!! I'm off to buy a new keyboard now, mine has too much drool on it. AWESOME setup!

SAM recognition for newbs to A-10C/ DCSW

nice docs! thx! -
Nice setup!

Tried a 700f HOF with 1000RPM and killed 3 tanks with 2 CBU-97s! I 've never been this happy after dropping a pair of CBU's :) 2 was probably overkill but I wanted to be sure. Thanks for the advise guys. Now I just need to get the wind correction thingy in my head and apply it.
-
I'll try some lower opening altitudes. I was keeping the standard of 1800ft, but I'll try the 500ft and other params for a change.

I'm pretty much having the same kind of problem with the CBU's but to a more frustrating degree: I drop them (in CCRP) and keep an eye on my TGP MFCD and see the bombs hit, a huge amount of explosions all AROUND my target, literally around the target, but the target stays unaffected. It just sits there. First I supposed it was just a graphics problem, but the truck wasn't destroyed, I didn't even hit it! Neither the targeted truck or any of those around. That's pretty much my regular scenario: I drop the CBU's watch them explode all round the target and don't kill my target, sometimes the guys around my target, but never the one I targeted. I don't have a track of this (didn't think of it last night) but I'll try to make one the next time I get a chance to fly my Hog.

Great! Thanks for the confirmation.

Which is?? I'm curious to know "cause I'd liek to update but I really don't feel like reinstalling the modules. Thx!

TM Warthog HOTAS lights of at boot up?
Nerull replied to Asp's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
The LEDs stay off (or dimmed, depending on TARGET setup) as long as the USB connector is powered. When the power is turned OFF (when you totally unplug the PC or have a switch for the power outlet) the Warthog goes back to standard LED lighting when you turn the power back up again. So I wouldn't uninstall TARGET but you don't have to let it run all the time. -
Hi Smartarze, I think you're in the wrong section, since this area is for mod developpers (if I understand correctly). You'll get more help in the "In and output" section.
