  1. Most modern fighters use turbofan engines, some have higher bypass than others (more bypass normally means less thrust at supersonic speeds)
  2. Bud, I think you'd better chill out and change the tone you use with others, if you cannot stand that other people have different opinions, stay away from internet forums
  3. I'd rather have an F-4 as well but I guess the F-35 could bring more people to DCS
  4. Any mod to fly a missile? Even better, they have AFM :D AIM-54 could set a good record:smilewink:
  5. Forgive my ignorance, but isn't the F-15C going to win most records? Might be good to split per plane? Cheers
  6. +1, appreciate if you can record!
  7. I think he forgot "not" ;)
  8. Again, DCS F-15C and DCS Su-27 will exist as full high fidelity products, but not in near future. What we may get this year is F-15C for DCS World and SU-27 for DCS World.
  9. To me, ED has not deviated from what they announced regarding HiFi / LoFi modules: Matt mentionned the "FC3+" Su27 and F-15C with AFM as "F-15C Eagle and Su-27 Flanker for DCS World" DCS F-15C and DCS Su27 will be when they are available with the full avionics.
  10. Thanks, I'll need to have a look once I'm back from work! If you use the launchers with 19 rockets instead of 7, you can go over the max weight.
  11. One question: is there a way to add (internal) cargo weight? I guess I have read Chickenhawk too much as it seems they were always pushing the take-off weight to the limit where they barely can hover :P
  12. I agree that it seems easier to fly at full load as there is less risk to overcorrect the collective when transitioning from forward flight to hover. I have not used the trim much yet but I struggle a bit to disable it as you need to move the stick in the opposite position to when you activated it in order to "zero" the input then press force trim again  Maybe I am doing it wrong and there is a better way??
  13. Indeed and I was asking only out of curiosity (or jealousy at someone who actually flies IRL!!!) :smilewink:
  14. Which choppers do you fly IRL? I remember from a book by a CSAR pilot in Vietnam who was flying the HH-3 Jolly Green (air force version of the Sea King) that if both pilot and copilot let go of the cyclic at any time, the chopepr would go upside down in +/- 5 seconds and that there was no way out in this case... So maybe that is related to older choppers? EDIT: For info that was Vietnam Air Rescues from Dave Richardson, quite a good book albeit short IIRC
  15. Cowboy, if you display the position of the controls (took me a while to find again what shortcut that is: Rctrl-Enter), then you will see how the force trim work more easily. You put your cyclic in the position you want, then press the force-trim button and it offsets everything so that this position is now with your stick in neutral :joystick:
  16. Or forgot to download the module?
  17. You can try to use another browser (I had the same issue with Chrome but not with Firefox)
