Am I the only one that understands "update" as an informational update (ie some news) and not as a "patch update" in Wags' post? I wouldn't get too cranked up yet...

Actually F-15E has more drag than F-15C due to conformal fuel tanks and these figures are with 6x AAMs so F-15C should definitely be able to "supercruise" (but nowhere near F-22 which I believe is supposed to do M1.6?)

To be honest, I am as eager as anyone to fly the MiG, but I fail to see how putting pressure on Leatherneck through all these posts is helping... None of us (as far as I know) is 8 year old so we should be able to manage our expectations a bit better...

I don't really understand why you're so unhappy with it, yes ED is taking some advantage of RRG's work but they're still giving us rewards! Had they said backers would get nothing then I would understand you but here??? I'm getting 2 planes and a map for $40 and that's perfectly fine. Edit: and I believe the advantage they get is less than the loss of revenue incurred by the licences given to backers

I think it's easy to understand why they presented it as a standalone game rather than a DCS module: they want to make sure that people who don't know DCS will understand they won't have to pay for anything else but the F-35
