You can't install DCS onto a FAT32 partition since it contains files > 4GB in size. Convert your disk to NTFS.

Looks like the problem is in the Temp folder of the game. Please, zip and send me the C:/Users/<YourWindowsUsername>/AppData/Local/Temp/DCS.openbeta folder - so we can reproduce the issue. After that try renaming the folder and start the game.

Your updater is too old to see the version. For whatever reason it could not self-update. You can always download the latest updater from here: https://updates.digitalcombatsimulator.com/

Because things might go wrong in the middle. The way it is implemented minimizes the chances for a broken game. Steam does the same, btw. Also, the updater moves the files to the game, not copies.

Most probably, an AV or running DCS block the file from deletion, so the update does not get installed. According to your log after that you make a repair, that deletes the downloaded update on your request. Then you make an attempt to update again just to repeat the cycle.

It removes what's changed or got deleted before installing what was downloaded. What are those components? To repair, DCS_updater.exe + autoupdate.db + autoupdate.cfg are enough.

You switched faster than the .400 update became visible. So you downgraded your .400 openbeta to release .345 and then, after the update become visible, updated it back again.
