  1. It might as well be different wiring, especially if those russian diagrams are older than 2000, which is the date of the manual that says it should be ON in manual mode. I don't have any drawings of that system myself, so I would need to ask around to know any better.
  2. The switch is there only to control the light. Fuel from wingtip tanks will always be consumed.
  3. I'm seeing a different behaviour (both C and ZA): Upon starting, RSBN is at its maximum brightness even when the brightness knob is actually at the minimum position. If you start twisting it, RSBN panel brightness correctly responds to the knob position, but then it's not possible to turn it all the way up and get the same maximum brightess. So there are two bugs: - RSBN is at maximum brightness upon starting when the brightess knob is left at min. position. If you move the knob before you start the aircraft, it will be at the set brightness. - It's not possible to set the brightness all the way up as the knob stops roughly at 3/4 position.
  4. Tested in 1.5.6.3930.271, still present.
  5. Tested in 1.5.6.3930.271, still present. Landing light has less coverage than the taxi light. Should be the other way around, with landing light being the brightest.
  6. Various switches in L-39ZA cabin have broken specular channel and glow white under certain light conditions. Screenshots of broken switches attached. Tested in 1.5.6.3930.271
  7. Problem is with L39ZA_NM.dds (...\CoreMods\aircraft\L-39\Textures\L-39_ZA.zip) Normal map detail of the front IFF antenna on L-39ZA is incorrectly placed in the middle while the actual antenna is shifted to the side. Therefore the detail needs to be shifted and aligned with the antenna model. Tested in 1.5.6.3930.271
  8. Start a wishlist thread for any additional features you want to see. But I wouldn't hold my breath for any non-standard modifications.
  9. CUDA Cores is a fancy name for what AMD calls stream processors. There's no magic behind it and no vendor-specific technology is being used in DCS. Only benefit is simply the fact that Nvidia has more powerful cards on the market right now.
  10. You can get your username changed. So instead of having two accounts and transfering something, you might want to contact Groove or Const or issue a support ticket (Website and Forum issues) to rename the old account. Which is now kind of a problem since you've technically just taken your own desired username, so you might as well ask for deletion (if that's a possibility). Also, your signature breaks rules.

  13. One thing to consider is that developers need to make money. And to make them, they should strive to appeal to the largest possible crowd to get the investment back. We already have people complaining about "useless trainers" or "why would you make this version when the other one is better". With literally every aircraft people wish for, we always get "I would totally pay 100 bucks for a glider" posts, which is nice, but consider this. If you were a dev, would you: - Develop a single trick pony that flies straight, drops one bomb, flies back - only because it's a legendary and historically significant aircraft. Then hope there will be enough enthusiasts buying it for that very reason. - Develop an aircraft filling various roles or perhaps one that has potential to engage the player with countless hours of content and therefore can attract customers simply because of its fun factor.
  14. Ah, the good old times, when I could actually post a helpful tip in the screenshot thread without getting my post deleted. Anyway, it's probably better to put these two lines into autoexec.cfg, so you don't have to change it after every update: options.graphics.ScreenshotQuality = 100 options.graphics.ScreenshotExt = "png" It's in C:\Users\profile_name\Saved Games\DCS\Config\ and should be saved with UTF-8 encoding. Obviously, "jpg" or "bmp" works too.
  15. The DCS: Normandy Map and the DCS: World War II Assets Pack will be available as a 20%-off, pre-purchase bundle for $47.99. Upon release in late April 2017, the DCS: Normandy 1944 Map and DCS: World War II Assets Pack bundle will be sold for $59.99. :)
  16. I can't get over how great the water looks. I hope it's not map-specific and we'll actually get that in DCS everywhere. By the way, Wags' stream should be inbound somewhat soon now, right?
  17. Great work but too noisy and aliased. Resave the textures with mipmaps.

  19. NDA falls in 3 days, then we'll find it on every major hardware site.
  20. If you set the fuel to 84%, you fill the internal tanks while leaving the wing tips empty. In that case, you can turn off the warning on the right hand circuit breaker. Importnant thing to realize is that the fuel gauge shows how much is in the internal tank, not the entire plane. So it'll show you 800kg of fuel even if you have 800kg internal and another 160kg in wing tips. And if you take away the fuel from wing tips, it's still 800kg internal.
  21. I don't get this, there is exactly ONE dedicated trainer in DCS: TF-51D. And it's free. The rest of the planes which are used for training are perfectly capable of combat, so what's the issue? Because there's no afterburner? Or radar? Or smart weaponry? Or fancy countermeasures? Well, the WWII modules or Sabre or Fagot doesn't have that either and they're still fun. It's just a different type of flying and the planes are fit for different scenarios.
  22. Russian voiceover with english subtitles is the only one available.
  23. The needle is there and working, it's just hard to see. Reported now.
  24. BUG: Imperial airspeed indicator mach needle has a wrong color. Now it's black and unreadable, it needs to be yellow. Here you can see it working @2m50s: And the same info about its color can be found on the gauge manufacturer's site (not english).
  25. Do you have a screenshot on hand? I haven't noticed any overlay like you described. Only issue I know about is color banding, where there are visible color steps in the skies, and we can only hope they'll fix that in 2.5.
