  1. Both pods are a part of the model. And even if it was an external loadout (separate model), you can have skin-specific textures on these as well, as long as you define the material correctly in lua ;)
  2. Lantirn texture is in the textures folder, in the f-15e.zip. It's not PSD template obviously, but I can promise you that they'll not release it anyway, so you might as well work with the original one. :)
  3. This might help.
  4. Select the object, press Ctrl+T, right click, skew. Alternatively, Edit->Transform->Skew.
  5. That specular texture needs to be false if it's in the folder.
  6. Yes. Find the line that points to numbers texture, change the name to "empty" and set it as true.
  7. From the shop: "...BAe Hawk T1 for FSX, FSX: Steam Edition and Prepar3D has been developed by Just Flight's in-house development team...". ;) Also the cockpits are clearly different.
  8. I don't know what's in the latest PC Pilot, but the only Hawk available for FSX/P3D now is by Just Flight.
  9. L-39 was obviously equipped with metric (eastern) instruments at first, but after the modernization, instruments got switched with the imperial (western) ones. There are a lot of L-39s in private ownership with the imperial instruments as well.
  10. Yes L-39ZA LODs are broken for everyone since the last patch, there's nothing you can do but wait. And those broken pilot textures are literally the first L-39 bug ever reported and almost a year later still not fixed.
  11. Can't wait for the lineup of flimsy space-sim controllers! :D
  12. That is correct behaviour as only one gauge can show the temperature at the time. There's a switch in the rear cockpit next to the throttle that switches between front and rear.
  13. Yes, the depth of field effect is really heavy on the performance. You can reduce its strength and the performance impact by editing the DOF.fx, change the number on line 55 to something smaller: #define NUMBER 150.0
  14. Are you trying to make a new specular texture for a cockpit that doesn't have one? Because that's not gonna work if the cockpit model doesn't have specular enabled in its material (which is done in 3dsmax)
  15. pilot_F15_00_body and pilot_F15_00_helmet are the material names. You can read the edm files with notepad++ and read the materials that way or use this handy tool.
  16. There's no template, at least not official. Default pilot textures you can work with are in \DCS World\Bazar\Textures\f15.zip
  17. It's not a monitor issue, the sky shader lacks dithering, which is useful for mitigating banding issues like this. I hate it as well.
  18. There is no separate instrument lighting in Albatros.
  19. Don't forget to make your installation discs or USBs now with media creation tool, so you can have the latest build on hand.
  20. If I wanted to support a charity, I would donate to Red Cross or MSF, not a game developer. Why some people act like ED is a bunch of indie devs coding in basement? They've been around for 25 years and are a part of The Fighter Collection that operates warbirds worth several million dollars, not to mention very lucrative military contracts that surely ain't cheap.
  21. I haven't disabled anything. All these tips were relevant years ago when first consumer SSDs with low endurance appeared on the market. My SSD is rated at 72TB, I have written 15TB in two years. And that's heavy computer usage, probably 12h+ a day.
  22. Probably when they feel like the model is finished.
  23. I think you don't understand that the OP is not asking for replacing current weather engine with forced realtime weather. You can fly missions whenever you want with any weather. But those who don't care about these maybe want to fly navigation/training/sightseeing with today's weather.
  24. I remember posting to another L-159 wishlist thread a few months ago, so you're not the only one. It's a nice aircraft and it would fit in DCS quite nicely with its capabilities. But virtually nothing could be taken from L-39. They're two completely different airframes, technologicaly 30 years apart.
