I didn't find the names, but here's the fuel tank snek:
-
The names definitely change over time and unfortunately, both sides will usually have a different one. If you're trying to be 100% correct, it might be quite of a pain in the ass. There are names on the front ldg door too by the way ;) Here's a photo from 2008 with LTCOL R. C. FRIEDMAN "BOO" on the port side. After some googling, the photo you posted should read MAJ GEN T. L. CONANT ?? MAW, not sure about what's there in front of MAW. CO? FO? Usually, you can google these names or abbreviations to figure out the corrent spelling. This photo from 2010 has COL K. J. KILLEA with the rest kinda hard to read. It's also 400, not 200. In case I find something concrete, I'll post it here.

What is still broken/missing on the L-39
GeorgeLKMT replied to GeorgeLKMT's topic in Bugs and Problems
He's probably talking about the sun visor on the sides of the instrument panel which can be pulled out (there's a little handle on the right side) Make a new topic in the Bugs and Problems section for it to get properly tracked as this is not a support thread. It's merely a list of ongoing issues I created before there was a bug section as devs weren't paying much attention and fixing them. They still don't, but at least we have the section now, which is nice. ;) -
Textures without alpha channel = DXT1 Textures with alpha channel = DXT5 So in case of AV8_T4, that would be DXT5.

If landing gear strength is a problem, I think you're going to love Hornet ;)

It's just a different solution. Wags was in manual mode while pictured below is CCIP. If you fly A-10C you might know that there are different modes as well.

What is still broken/missing on the L-39

No, there wasn't anything replacing it. Maybe on L-39MS/L-59 Super Albatros, but that's a different story. -

1. The gauge you're seeing on the picture is a part of SRD-5 "KVANT" target rangefinder. It was only present on early models and later removed due to its unreliability. 2. The armament system is unblocked above 310km/h and it's certainly not smart enough to block the weapons based on loadout. So there might as well be a requirement for minimum speed specifically for R-3S (although I can't find any information on it), but the aircraft will let you fire it above 310km/h anyway. -
Textures (airframe and cockpit) really harsh even with AF 16x?
GeorgeLKMT replied to Nealius's topic in AV-8B N/A
Mipmaps are a part of the texture, so you'll see the problem only on textures that have them missing. -

GeorgeLKMT replied to Nealius's topic in AV-8B N/A
It has nothing to do with the settings. The texture mipmaps are missing and the issue was already reported this thread. Razbam says it's fixed now, but until the update rolls out, you can download cockpit texture mod linked in there. -
My F-15C paints are featuring a modified dark texture of the ACES II ejection seat. In case you want to include it in your own F-15C paint, here's a template and the texture for you to download. How do I use it? Put it in your paint's folder and insert this into description.lua: {"f15_aces2", 0 ,"eject",false}; Do I have to credit you? No, but you can. Do I need Photoshop for this? Yes, but I also included a ready-to-use dds texture. Seat is grey when I eject. Yes, because it's a separate model. Add this line to the description.lua: {"A-10_ejection_seat", 0, "eject", false}; . . . DCS F-15C Dark ACES II seat.zip

Well for starters, Mr Hackerman can look into user files where the username is displayed. Really bad oversight by ED to be honest... :music_whistling:
-
Yup it's ridiculous. 60€ -> 175€ since July 2016 for my kit. When I upgraded back then, at first I though "maybe I should've waited a few months for Kaby Lake", but seeing those prices, I'll take my Skylake over these insane prices any day.
-
Demo, probably not, but a refund period just like on Steam is a must. Although I think ED already handles that through the support channel? If not, they should start. If I can be protected by laws and entitled to refund basically any consumer product, the same should apply to digital products, or games in particular.

There's a thread for this, if you need to test stuff: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=29207 :) And since the signature updates in all your posts, it's not even needed...

I need this for L-39 ASAP! I also need bugfixes for L-39, but GPS... definitely! :P

Putting in a new GPU, should I deactivate my licenses

From the activation guide: -
You can find all the material names easily with this application: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/1744284/

Ryzen 5 1600X or i5 7600K for DCS
GeorgeLKMT replied to maalikm911's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
This comparison came out today and might help you a bit with the decision: -
English and russian cockpits are available by default, you can switch the localization is the "special" options menu.
-
The aft temp. indicator isn't connected, so it's not supposed to show anything. It's just L-39 being weird again. ;)
-
The switch only controls the caution light, that's all. The fuel from wingtip tanks will always be consumed when the amount of fuel in the center tank reaches 600L. I can't test this myself, so fly so more to verify, whether the fuel comes down or not.
-
Infinite fuel would mean you can fly forever. Is that what's happening? Fuel indicator stopping at 600L and then resuming after wing tanks are depleted is indeed a correct behaviour.
