  1. I wonder if take off problems was solved by patch? Im quite new with D-9 but have no problem with P-51 at take off. I think something is not exacly correct with taking off in D-9 expecially during rise tail gear at ab. 170 km/h when plane loose a lot stability. I have some experience IRL with taildragers ( not such powerfull) but i cant belive that it should be such problem like in DCS with rise the tailwheel at such speeds. Something is not right for me here. Funny thing for me is that both in P-51 and D-9 landings are far more easier then take off. From my real life experience take offs are much more easier in taildragers then landings. Someting is not right here for me.
  2. What i have seen during my online combat in P-51 against Fw 190 D-9 i found that some D-9 pilots could keep with my P-51 in turn. And i think i could turn my P-51 quite efficently. Also im sure that D-9 with actual power rating, better roll rate is general better dogfighter then P-51. Not mention that is also faster and better climber at low to medium alts. Most adventages is on the D-9 side.
  3. Im not sure but suspect that P-51 loosing wings too fast casue there is not implemented safetly factor - 1.3 - 1.5 more then maximum load factor ( +8/-4) So actually P-51 in DCS broke at maximum load factor not at ultimate load factor.

  5. I wonder if ED plan to fix 2 main problems of DCS engine which i think actually was shown during P-51 vs D-9 multiplayer combat : 1. Planes visibilty. Actually DCS is the worst sim in these are which i have played ( Il2, BOS, CLOD) where planes visibility is really poor. Planes are visibile at very short distances ab 0 -2 km and not more. Also there is need to used maximum ZOOM to see planes even from close distances. These is nonsesne to fly higher or with alt adventage if you cant see enemy. It really destroy historical tactic. Thats why most people fly low and close to AFs where flaks could show position of enemy planes. 2. Stutters ( huge fps drops) from enemy ( planes, flak, AAA) fire. I got usually about 50-60 fps but when i watch enemy fire ( planes, flak) my fps drop very often to 20 or less. These really broke my mulitplayer gameplay. And servers are not with too much people ( max 30 ). So i wonder if ED is plan to make some fixes and changes in these area?
  6. Yo-Yo what about safetly factor 1.3 - 1.5? If +8/-4 G is maximum load factor for P-51 8000 lbs GW so it shouldn't broke before at least 10 G ( 1.5 - 12 G). In DCS P-51 broke much earlier.
  7. Limit load factor at 8 000 lbs is + 8/ -4 G. But ultimate load factor should be higher ab 1.3 - 1.5 more then load limit factor. So at 8 000 lbs P-51 should stand without total airframe destruction about 10 G. At least up to 8 G P-51 should not get any damage.
  8. Well i think it depend of P-51 fuel load. Remember that these is near like flying cystern. If you drop half fuel load P-51 would have much less weight and the same much lower wing loading. P-51 got also more wing area then Fw 190.
  9. Not dominate but competetive. You dont follow these topic i think. Actually we got very late version of D-9 ( with MW50) vs early version of P-51 D with standart 67 inch boost. Eariler version of D-9 which was more accurate for these P-51 got only 1.55 Ata ( 1750 HP) eventually with engine upgrade 1900 PS version ( with higher boost allowed 1.65 Ata). From late 1944 P-51 used higher octan fuel which rise their boost for 75 inch.
  10. What i observed flying in P-51 online against D-9 that D-9 could dominated the fight totaly and P-51 can't do nothing but defence manouvers and pray only for big D-9 pilot mistake. D-9 speed and climb is so much better then P-51 that D-9 could absolutly dominate the fight. D-9 is also good dogfighter with its roll adventage and power could be competetive with P-51 in knife fight. P-51 only turns horizontal little better nothing more. Thats why there is need more boost ( 75 inch) version for P-51 to be more challanage for these very late D-9 version.
  11. I see it other way. Dora actually overperformed P-51 at low to medium alt in speed and climb a lot cause it has MW-50 high power rating. Also it is very good dogfighter is someone is able to used it. So D-9 could dominate P-51 at low to medium alts with easy using just speed, dive and climb. Disable MW50 in D-9 and it would be more in pair with P-51. Thats why P-51 need 75 inch boost to be competetive fighter for these late version of D-9.

  13. It would be really nice. Casue now we got early version P-51 with standart boost +67 inch vs late version D-9 with MW 50 modification. In 1944 initialy D-9 got only 1.55 Ata ( 1750 HP) then later were some modification - 1900 PS (1.7 Ata) mod and MW 50 2100 HP ( 1.8 Ata)
  14. I think to be fair P-51 should have now higher WEP/BOOST - 72 or 75 inch instead 67 inch. D-9 in DCS got MW50 which make it one of the fastest D-9 version which was in service. Dont have D-9 in DCS only P-51 but after few dogfigts i see noticable difference in power - D-9 is very fast. P-51 to be more competetive need rised WEP/BOOST system. BTW i like how D-9 fly even if im only P-51 competitior. It looks for me that it is the first sim which make it like should be :) I think BOS developers should learn how to make historical accurate planes.
  15. I got Saitek Evo Force. With 1.2.7 beta stall shake is back and no fps lost. Only problem is that force fedback shake settings in axis FF tune don't save - so in every new mission i need to set it again.
  16. We don't have wrong equipment. We got computers not cocpits planes - so all sim makers need to take care of it. Majority of sim customers use standart joystick - with short stick and curvers really dont help here too much. Thats why playing such sim like DCS P-51 could be harder then flying real life plane in some area. Moreover i use FF stick and atcually they also screw with FF effects like shake stall. From a few months we dont get fix it and next update info 1.2.7 not mentions also about these bug fix. Very annoying expecially that ED looks like dont care about it.
  17. I just want my force fedback effects back. It was since P-51 relase up to 1.2.5 version. For unkown reason from version 1.2.6.XXX it has gone. I dont understand whats stop ED to bring it back? I just quit playing P-51 beacasue of that. I don't play any other DCS planes just interesting in P-51 which is not playable for me actually. I paid a lot of money for it and now i dont play it beacause of these bug. Moreover there is no single word about these problem from ED? How could i have more patience if there were several updates and still not these bug fix? Now is coming another update and probably we will not get these bug fix.
  18. Exacly since 1.2.6.XXX update we lost force fedback effect which is important expecially in P-51 module. Before everything was ok. So i really want to know when we will get these bug fix?????? I quit playing P-51 beacasue of these bug. Next uptade is coming and no words about FF bug fix????????? ED really need to explain these situation!!!!!!!!
  19. That why i think that in joystick movement corenspondend with stick movement DCS is not realistic. I think it is harder to fly P-51 DCS then real one because we got different sticks ( much shorter) then IRL which mean we have much shorter movements. I think DCS to be more real and realistic should unfortunately find better solution to simulate these things. Now for me it isn't. Thats why DCS P-51 is more prone to stall which much shorter stick movements then RL plane probably. I always said that. BTW i wonder when ED would fix problem with force fedback shake stall effect which was disabled with 1.2.6 version? How long we would need to wait for these bug fix? I quit playing P-51 beacsue of these. Saw a few 1.2.6 updates since these bug but noone fix it.

  21. I hope ED will give back force fedback stall buffet. Cause since these bug i don't play P-51 anymore. Yes DCS P-51 is the best modeled prop plane in sims still as a real life pilot i think that in our game it could be harder to fly then in real life. Just taking all real life data into game not always mean realistic.
  22. P-51 A2A is based on Flight Simulator engine which is very simplificated regarding flight physcic comparing to DCS engine. Landing taildragger plane expecially high power and high wingloading is not so easy task to do. I fly Zlin 526 F ( aerobatic taildragger plane) and every my landing need a lot carefull - much more then tricycle light planes ( like Cessna and similar ones). DCS P-51 is the only sim where take off and landing need some atention much more then in other known sims and is the closiest to real life flying. Although i dont have problem with landing in DCS P-51 i think that as for game simulator it is really nicely done. So dont even compare it to A2A P-51. Regarding tailwheel in DCS P-51 during take off roll - try to push your sitck forward - it unlock tailwheel and you could have more tail control on the ground.
  23. But Spitfire could be still flown with much more stick back. Also we should note that Spitfire Mark V had the worse longitutadal stability from most known Spitfire versions.

  25. Still no any official info about these problem? Im very dissapointment casue since these bug i dont fly P-51 :(
