  1. For some reason the revised version will not load to the master server. Please don't bother spending more of your time with this, it's not that important. Maybe slmod will be updated soon and these missions will work again. Thanks again for your efforts.

  5. It seems that when I try to load a MP mission from the list I have available more often than not the wrong mission gets loaded to the server. Anyone else having this issue?
  6. I would like to see an option available that would allow a user to select from different levels of intensity for HDR. Like low, med or high.

  11. I want to disable 3D rendering on my server PC but changing the entry to false in the graphics.lua file for render3D does not change it as it did in 1.2 Is there a way to force that change by creating a file in the saved games folder or by any other means?
  12. For me turning HDR off seems to help with all 3 TGP modes and helps with spotting ground targets visually as well.
  13. I thought the SA missions depended on slmod to work. Grimes said that slmod hasn't been upgraded for 1.5 so is that going to be a problem? Falcon, put it up and I'll jump in if I see it.

  16. I don't think haze is what I am seeing but rather a lack of reds added to the color palette. As an example, when I choose Fall as the season there is very little difference between that and summer not only in the terrain but also with the trees when viewed close up.
  17. I am one that agrees and use a Nvidia graphics card. The Nvidia control panel allows me to tweak the desktop settings and I have used it to increase the contrast, brightness, color saturation and hue for DCS. It's easy to go back to default for other applications but I only use my gaming rig for DCS so it's not necessary. I'm sure some modders are already working on modding the default 1.5 and it will be interesting to see what they come up with.

I got a fresh install of Asset Extraction and loaded it into the 1.2.16 ME but did not see any triggers that called for the playing of these sound files, AssetVerificationComplete.ogg DeltaSupportRequest.ogg ExtractComplete.ogg ResumePushToExtraction.ogg StartPushToAsset.ogg StartPushToExtraction.ogg StopPushToExtraction.ogg Could that mean that they never would have been activated in the original mission when flown in the 1.2.16 build? If so then could it also be that 1.5 eliminated any sound files that were not of value?
  19. I use the Hyper X headset and hear the A-10C engine sounds very well.

I have found that most folks don't have enough self confidence to even get involved with multiplayer and many that do prefer to remain anonymous out of a fear of doing or saying something that may be embarrassing. The sad thing is that if they would just try it they would realize that we are all just a bunch of old kids having a good time and they are missing out on the best part of this sim.
  22. When sound files are first introduced to a mission they must be placed in the saved games folder then loaded to the miz file from there. As an example, I had a mission that worked fine in the previous build but the sound files would not play in 1.5. I copied the original sound files to my saved games/dcs openbeta folder thinking I may have to reload them one by one but soon found that simply by having them available they played as intended when tested in the 1.5 ME as well as the mission itself. What could it hurt to try?
  23. Place the sound files in your saved games/DCSopenbeta folder. Have you tried that yet?
  24. I just flew the same mission at night and confirmed that the enemy BDRM units had spawned as intended but no tracer rounds could be seen from friendly or enemy AAA. It should have looked like downtown Bagdad in '91. Can I get a witness?:cry:
  25. I don't mind a reduction in visibility of tracers considering that it would be more realistic than the light show we had but to see none seems like either a bug or a reduction that is a bit too extreme.
