My understanding of Vsync is that you must have hardware capable of producing frame rates of at least 60 FPS consistently before it becomes a benefit and so with my GPU that ain't gonna happen. Thanks for the suggestion.
This is a real ball buster for me and I have tried numerous tweaks but still get the black monitor every 2 or 3 minutes. I would welcome any theories that may lead to a solution.
Is there any real benefit to capping frame rates in the graphic lua file and if so what would it be. Could it provide greater stability with performance and/or reduce the potential for problems? Inquiring minds want to know.
I have seen updates break missions in the past and patches that came later to fixed them. For dummies like me that now just have a bunch of broken missions do you think it's possible a forthcoming patch will be available to make them work again or perhaps a user created solution that may be easy for the ME impaired to use?
This has happened numerous times for me as well. If I hit ESC it will pause the mission, the monitor comes back on and I can resume and continue.
AMD FX6100, 8GB RAM, GTX 650ti 2GB Video card.
Added map display options, MAP, SAT (satellite) and ALT (elevation shading and iso lines)
Can someone tell me how to access these new ME features listed in the 1.5 change log?
MP missions from the previous build don't seem to be compatible with 1.5 either. Triggers are not working. Grimes, are you aware of any problems with slmod with the 1.5 beta?
I have hosted 2 MP missions that have worked fine in the past but the triggers do not function when hosting them on the beta. Anyone else seeing this? The TAB key no longer opens the chat window however SHFT+TAB does. A mission called OP Saturn that requires typing "task" in chat for mission tasking does not respond to that command in 1.5.
In the garden of Eden stood Adam, Admiring the curves of his madam, He chuckled with mirth 'cause he knew that on earth, there were only two balls and he had'em.
I think that if you view the mission in question in the mission editor and adjust the map view there to your liking and then save it as such it will be the zoom level and position you see when you fly the mission and hit F10.
This is the kind of comment that I place a great deal of value in considering the source is someone that has "been there and done that" Your future input on this and other questions will be appreciated much more than you may realize so please don't be a stranger on the forums.
