It also did happen with other missions. You can read elsewhere that there are also other cases having crashes at flight start. So I've reinstalled 1.2.4 and can wait until next week for the new 1.2.5 update. So I leave it up now to the programmer to do the rest.

Can you edit your reply by adding info on your Win system etc. like the info in my signature, I think ED Programmer would be interested to know why some had problems with the Update and others not. Also read my reply above to "shagrat".

...It was in the attachment in: Game Crash/Crash at mission start http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=110611 With the zip is also a crash file. I don't think in my case it did have anything to do with Triggers as by choosing the A-10C it was OK, but when I choose the Ka-50 to fly, there is always a game crash. For programmer it is revealing to know that other Users like "Esac_mirmidon" are not having the same problems, so I assume the problem lies behind the difference of Windows system.

Do you have two discs with two different application system? If not, can you share with us how you've done that!

Here is my link to a constructive root cause analysis with crash file topiced yesterday: ED Forums » English » Digital Combat Simulator » DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark » Bugs and Problems » Ka-50 Crash at mission start http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=110619 Their is no bigger catastrophe than having a crash on Flight start! I couldn't validate those other fixed bugs as I was constantly faced with crashes. All experienced Senior Members should consider that there is a lot of Rookies out there who are totally overwhelmed with this information overload of how to fix things. Rebooting their attitude to the novice perception ability might help understanding beginner's frustration...

It seems working now as I can start my Ka-50 without any crashes. To spare time in search, this is how to reset DCS to the prior version which also only requires a few minutes typing: Start/search/CMD (Command Prompt), CMD Command Window opens Type: CD\ ENTER Key Type: CD Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\Bin\ ENTER Key Type: dcs_updater.exe update :1.2.4 ENTER KEY

...My criticism is definitely to be labeled as "Nagging" and should be done constantly & loud enough to avoid hustled irregular programming that leads to such total crashes. Finally the Programmer themselves are going to end whining for their hustle, because they'll be spending double the time they thought they have spared by this early update release, into reprogramming and dealing with crash support. :megalol:

Update like this should be easily done from the main DCS Update site and safely executed without a CMD hussle, and without the trouble to search for it on the Forum, where you never can be sure if it's just a Lyre's recommendation, as long as it's not branded with a Support signature. Thanks for the Tip anyway...

It's obvious from many Forums that the latest update was a real catastrophe on many levels... Priorities should always be in the first place for system stability & performance and not grabbing User's Patches by the tail to jam them in one after the other until the belly bursts! The programmers should take their time testing the "digestibility" of any Add-On to avoid any system constipation before serving it us on the table. I would like to know how to go back to the last 1.2.4.12913 update. I couldn't find any clue on the Home page. If this option doesn't really exists, well then it's about time to set a link for it just for cases like this bad update. On page two you'll find the Tip how to re-install DCS to the prior version Late Edit On 12 August there was a new Update to 1.2.5. When posting, Please refer to as "12 August" 1.2.5

Before the 1.2.5. Update everything was going fine in the "6 Lakes" mission. After that, starting the A-10C is still OK, but when I choose the Ka-50 to fly, there is always a game crash! To view the attached crash file go to: ED Forums » English » Digital Combat Simulator » DCS World » Bugs and Problems » Game Crash » Crash at mission start http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=110611

no longer works The Ultimate DCS World JSGME Guide - If you use mods, you need this.
BiBa replied to Ebs's topic in DCS Modding
JSGME is indeed an incredible help... But just as I was about to activate the Mods in it, there was a new Update yesterday. So I disabled all the Mods... You say after the Update "You can even choose to 'compare files with snapshot' after the update to see exactly which files ED have updated"; I think there are too many Mods to compare with, that you can get "Lost in Space" of their Slats. My question is: is there any Forum for Mod Specialists that can inform Users after each ED-DCS Update, which Mod is outdated, so that we can filter them out to keep the valid one without this toilsome comparison? Tanks anyway for this great Tool -
I also have the English version and just today after the Update I was also confused at the beginning as suddenly ATC clearance was in Russian as I was playing Red. So, in the same own programmed mission, I changed to Blue team and there was English again... So no, I suppose it has been changed on purpose for the sake of realty. Try to fly with Blue Team and see what language you have. As such, there is only two languages: English & Russian. If you have WIN 7, check the following path where you'll find the sound folder: C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\Sounds\Speech\Sound
-
Looks like every Unit starts to speak its own native language, as my Russian Unit also starts to speak Russian instead of English! Quiet realistic, but that means a lot of work to do in changing roles of own programmed missions. There should be a language option added now in Mission Editor where I can choose if allied forces should for example speak English.

How to unchain the rudder from trim
BiBa replied to PeterP's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Is your "Unchain Rudder from Trim Ka-50 DCS world 1.2.0" still goes for the new 1.2.4 version, or is there a new mod somewhere for that? -
I've been flying BS2 & A-10C in Sim mode for quite a while without having any issues with Communication Radio. I've just purchased P-51D & UH-1H Huey and I'm having the same weird Radio problem with both, so it can't be a coincidence. Before takeoff in P-51D the Radio Menu opens OK and I communicate with ATC, but once airborne, The Radio Menu command doesn't react / open any more. The same problem with Huey with the difference before takeoff, I open Radio Menu I send a request for takeoff or something else, I see the command in written, but there is no Audio or any reply even in written. I looked for solutions in the Topic "radio commands don't work once airborne"/http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.ph...ght=radio+menu... I don't know what's about SPU-9 PTT, but I didn't find this line / it doesn't exist under the \keyboard\keyboard.lua file: {combos = {{key = "/", reformers = {"LCtrl", "LAlt", }}, }, down = iCommandPlane_SPU9_radio_change, name = "SPU-9 Radio communicator selector", category = "Systems"} to place this line: {combos = {{key = "\\", reformers = {"RAlt", }}, }, down = iCommandPlane_SPU9_PTT_on, up = iCommandPlane_SPU9_PTT_off, name = "SPU-9 PTT", category = "Ins Collective Stick"}, So what to do? I didn't follow it up there because it was in the Ka-50 Forum, and I thought P-51D issues should be dealt with separately in its own Forum. P.S. This sort of problems should be solved in an update due to the level of complexity and the risk of screwing things while messing in LUA files

Dankeschön & a good Tip with VJS161:thumbup:

There you'll only find your saved "*.trk" in the Track Folder or "*.crash" in the Logs Folder. But I'm looking for the "LastMissionTrack.trk" in the Temp Folder, and in Saved Games there also no Temp folder to illustrate a "gaming issue" of my last flight.:book:
-
Thanks 3X... But with "DCS/Downloads/Documentation" I meant where to find it on the Eagle Dynamics Website, where the documentation there is more actual than the one with installation... My mistake, my question wasn't precise enough.
-
I purchased the UH-1H Huey yesterday, but I couldn't find its manuals on DCS/Downloads/Documentation! There is even no UH-1H Huey Forum for it. Where is this UH-1H Huey manual to find?

How are we supposed to support you with materials if we don't get any answers to where to find specific folders. I wrote to you one month ago and now I have a Game problem. So again : I have Win 7, 64 bit. To report a Game problem I searched for the File LastMissionTrack.trk on (C:\Users\<Biba>\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files (x86)\) but there, there was no Eagle Dynamics Folder let alone \Ka-50\Temp). I found there Folders for other Games, so where else could that Temp Folder be?

Tanks a lot - works fine now! That's what I love in this Forum: 99% right instructions. One small completion needed. How to trigger a message like "you won" based on the destruction of Random Groups. I have 4 Groups bound to Flag1 with 10 values (10 possibilities). I've searched under CONDITION for something like Flag1 dead, but couldn't find the right one. Can you fill me up the gap ...! TYPE: 1 ONCE (***, NO EVENT) CONDITION: ...! ACTION: MESSAGE TO ALL (*)
