LOL me and my diagonal reading skills...

Well then assuming you already activated your licence for AIRIO all that should be left to do is activation of AIRIO extension in the EX TAB on Vaicom configuration window. Hollywood will be better to confim this, but I think all files for VAICOM are contained within the DLLs and they get "extracted" when they are activated and loaded upon Vaicom initialization of VA. So confirm to keep it short: make sure your licence is activated, Check AIRIO on EX TAB. Restart VA. Import AIRIO VAP after that and dont forget to import the commands of AIRIO profile into your Vaicom profile or append AIRIO profile unto it.

This is a new version of Vaicom with revised manual, that just came out today by the way. You might have missed it, Hollywood posted it in the second post of the thread, but he didn't make a new post.
-
@TOViper With OB 2.5.5 you must use Vaicom 2.5.15. (2.5.17 manual page 4).
-
AIRIO is a seperate download, if you you just did a fresh install, did you remember to download that as well? https://www.vaicompro.com/uploads/7/5/4/3/75436709/vaicompro_extension_airio_2_5_7.zip

You Should be able to, but like MAXsenna pointed out, it's a much better form to do as he said.
-
DCS allows you to change the displayed coordinates format on the status Bar. I belive it affects the F10 map as well. If that's where you are getting the coordinated from. If not, divide your seconds by 6 and round to the nearest INT number.

Whats's the issue with TARGET?
-
Yeah that is messed up. You must have edited it by mistake. Need to fix it, if you don't have a lot of custom keywords, just go to your reset page and reset your keywords. And don't forget to follow the finishing steps to update your profile.

T.A.R.G.E.T. software required?
lxsapper replied to crankcasy's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Ant0ine said that you can'tWithout TARGET. Which is more or less correct. You could mess with DCS .lua Also you don't Have to program that with MapKeyR, it is usefull in some circustances, but on that particular one, you could just use TARGET discrete calls for switches OFF positions: MapKey(&Throttle,APPAT, PULSE + Altitude_Switch_Baro); // Baro MapKey(&Throttle,APAH, PULSE +Altitude_Switch_Baro);// Baro/RDR MapKey(&Throttle,APALT, PULSE + Altitude_Switch_RDR); // RDR -
And are you using normal TX mode?
-
Say eighter: "Request Rearming" or "Request Refuel" or "Request Repair" The commands are referenced in the manual... Combining them wont work. Neighter will Just Saying Rearm or Refuel or Repair.
-
The Thrustmaster Combined Axis that DCS recognizes as Slider1 is the Axis Called "Throttle" Program it as: MapAxis(&Throttle, THR_FC, DX_THROTTLE_AXIS, AXIS_NORMAL, MAP_ABSOLUTE); instead of: MapAxis(&Throttle, THR_FC, DX_SLIDER_AXIS, AXIS_NORMAL, MAP_ABSOLUTE);

@Hollywood_315 I was going to make a video showing it, but your post got me thinking, I tested and found the cause. I am not using easycomms, the behavior for me is caused because I'm using Single TX mode (Using TX6). I tested it, switched it back and forth and it's definitely it. This is not a problem for me, I can work with it fine as it is. I use this mode because integration is unable to solve the requirements I need for the way my online squadron communicates. This is on no way on you, I cannot even think of what I would need to make it work, other than what I opted for, which is to have direct control of who I am transmitting to and when. I have no problem in having to call the name of the ATC I want to call. @Birdman81 can you confirm if this is the cause of the issue for you?
-
You are messing with file you normally don't have to (or would want to). Are you using TARGET script or TARGET GUI?
-
Ok small correction, it doesn't appear to be random at all. In the Caucasus, regardless of radio frequency tuned, distance, etc. Calling "Inbound" always tries to speak to Batumi as far as I can tell.

You mean the 5 select push buttons? Sure look on the Category "UFC" on your F/A-18C control assignments.
-
When you run a TARGET profile you are turning your included controllers into a virtual one. The Name of the Axis in that virtual controller will be whatever is defined in that profile you are running. You can have Joy_Slider1 or 2 or any other axis wherever you like them. Check your profile to see what you have assigned to what. Assigning an axis without the profile working will not affect your axis assignments with the profile running. Because as far as windows and DCS are concerned they are not the same device. So if you want to make a axis assignment for your profile, you must do it with the profile running.
-
@Hollywood_315 you may have not changed it on your end, but it's definitely not working as before. The issue now is that if you don't say the ATC recipient your message gets sent to apparently a random one. But you will get no response because you wont be on that ATC's frequency. Hope I explained that clear enough. You can usually check this easily with Stennis. If you don't actually say: "Stennis, Inbound" You can read or hear depending on Vaicom's options, your Pilot calling some other random ATC, and getting no response.

T.A.R.G.E.T. software required?
lxsapper replied to crankcasy's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
TARGET does have a few kwirk's and sometimes even crashes, but I've never had one in game with the profile loaded, it's more usual in windows when trying things out. If I had it happen in a serious multi-player session, I'd probably be seriously pissed and start wondering my choices. But ATM I very satisfied with it, I was very outspoken against it because ok the 32DX limitation, but now that I've found the 128 "hack" I'm really happy, I keep most of my assignments DX, but I use TARGET to do some neat things, get past software limitations/omissions both DCS and others like TrackIR for example. I also use it to perfectly Integrate my SRS comm switches with DCS comm switchs. You can do most of that with something less me joy2key or RSmapper. But you'd need Joystick Gremlin to compensate for DCS grave omission to be able to match Physical AB detents with in Sim ones. And no user curves don't count they are a sucky way to try and compensate for what's missing. -
DCS World TARGET profile for TM Cougar and Warthog + MFDs
lxsapper replied to Home Fries's topic in Thrustmaster
Yes you are correct the open airbrake in the Tomcat opens it gradually while held and stops when released. The close command closes it all the way when commanded. I think I have found a little trick for it, but I can't be sure from memory, have to check when I get home.- 2261 replies

You don't have to say nearest airfield you can say the actual name of the airfield. But as far as I can't tell eighter by bug or by feature, just saying inbound doesn't guarantee a call to the proper ATC you want to contact anymore.

Open Beta 2.5.6.43931 hotfix: S-3 AAR issues
lxsapper replied to Kula66's topic in Bugs and Problems
I've seen this happen, Canceling refuel and asking again reset it, but it easily came back if I made contact and lost it a few times.
