Oh, and what about score-chart. Then server owners would also need a way to disable any player-name and aircraft to show up there.
-
Yes that'd be a very interesting experience indeed. Do you know of any servers with such server settings though, with team passwords, by chance?
-
Why would one hide passworded aircraft slots? After all it would allow players to see at which airfields other players with passwords would spawn in which aircraft, which players seriously need for their situational awareness. And it also makes the players see which squadrons have special slots and how many payed slots there are (patreon as example).

Wow you're right. A very big shame imo. And AIM-120C still super borked it seems, not chaffable at 90° at nap-of-the-earth flying. Event should've ran with only 120Bs allowed. This AIM-120C issue isn't what Igor Tishin intended with DCS. His credo was to bring players to merge/dogfights as much as possible. Where is the fun, in your opinion @QuiGon, in slapping missiles at each other and going full 180° defensive? -
Yes but mostly those communities only use those in passworded private events, where every online player has the custom liveries.
-
I didn't say they should've tested against every single unit, I'm just saying that it's incredibly likely that several Hornet pilots already stumbled across this bug but have either not reported it, or have not pressured ED enough to fix this even before Hornet received JSOW or at least before our beloved Viper received HARM. Shouldn't it be as simple as adding a specialized "armor-penetraton" variable to the HARM, so that if it hits a specified unit (like Roland SR), that that armor penetration variable is applied?

"Starting with 2 servers", will those be Persian Gulf & Caucasus? -
Only somewhat. But indeed, just like Hobel, I'm super curious aswell where that has been "brought up, reported and acknowledged" before, with ED obviously pretending to be working on fixing it, after such a long time and many reports, according to you

3 standard lives in the entire 2 week tour? Or per 6 hour mission-session? And is the 6 hours flight time restriction because it is expected that the server would be full 24/7 and that the reason for 6 hours flighttime per 24 hours? -

Damn, no "Best support aircraft pilot" (TF-51 for example). Well I guess TF-51s that get kills with deployed Stingers will count as "multi-role" pilots, so "Best multi-role pilot" prize category, cool. -
Exactly! What I'm shocked about is that this bug probably has been ingame since release of Hornet HARM already. How the heck did none of the hundred-thousands of loyal Hornet customers report this bug between Hornet HARM release, january 2019, and JSOW release, which was a whopping 5 months later, june 2019?? Did the Hornet pilots back then give up on SEAD/A2G and only do A2A? Or were Hornet players simply lazy back then about reporting such massive bugs in forum?
-
u gotta be kidding me... xD Why the heck does it solely occur with Roland SR and no other unit?

1 day... please post the disciplines within next 12 hours...... Thank you. This is not the quality of timing that we're used to with BlueFlag many years ago when 373 Gregzag was still within management. Hope we can reach that high standard again during this summer -
On my last try it also didn't crash anymore, curiously. Leave out step 3. And be on a very full PvP server with tons of friendlies & hostiles appearing on datalink. Zoom out all the way on the SA MFD so that all contacts are visible on the display, and appear very cluttered. I had 2x AKG, + DL pod equipped. Maybe it was related to Datalink and many other JF-17 players being on DL network?
-
Where does your hostile attitude come from? Are you related to the Gambler unit in any way in reality?
-
See .trk. F-16C HARM vs Roland SR. (both Ai) Also seen multiple times on PvE servers, player HARMs not dealing any scratch to Roland SR. HARMnotDamagingRolandSR.trk

(my question was more of an experiment...)
-
Do you have a source for that by chance?
-
Over 2 years later, still waiting for this massive boredness-factor to be addressed by you, ED.
-
Heck YES, managed to reproduce!!! This time enabled datalink on ground already, and CTD already on takeoff run!!! Sent via ED crash reporter, here the new logs! dcs.log-20220527-142920.zip
-
Checked, I have 584GB free space on my pagefile drive. (K: drive, not C\)
-
Ah thanks, as I didn't see it in your first quote I wondered. Alright, will check!
-
Why does that matter, why would there be a difference to a manual ejection?
-
Where do you get the 30GB from?
-
oops, accidentally clicked "cancel" after fast alt-tab instead of "send logs", sorry. Here the logs. JF-17, I just turned on Datalink, then instantly CTD. dcs.log-20220527.zip
