Good to hear, thanks for the update! On another note, since my understanding is that 1.2.4 is supposed to be released right along with UH-1, does anyone know what exactly is going into 1.2.4? I know some of the new cockpits for FC3 couldn't make it into 1.2.3, so any word on whether they make it into the next update?

Just hit the mute button, the music is the only audio. It's a good video showing damage models that I hope get put into FC3 aircraft.

I already know I'm going to end up like this my first takeoff, no point in lying to myself: uI4d5AeAi7g

Ah thanks! Looks a little darker than I expected, but glad to see it's in there.

I know this is the UH-1N twin Huey on the bottom, but I'd love for someone to make a grey Marine skin for the UH-1H Huey if it isn't in DCS. I didn't see it shown in the screenshots someone had posted on Huey skins in one of the other threads, so I'm assuming it's not already in.

I did that with A-10C when on a first flight starting out in the air. I couldn't resist buttons that had "Pull" written on them, first thing I did. I mean, why put "Pull" on it if I'm not supposed to pull it?:smilewink:

I see your point, but locking/not locking could be something agreed between PIC and copilot, or left unlocked when dealing with a friend or squadmate. My main concern with being able to lock it is when having a random player jump in that I don't know. Would like to lock him out of flight control until I see how he behaves. He starts using the guns to shoot down my wingman, then I know I don't want him flying (and can hopefully kick him out). But I definitely see what you are saying, especially with someone teaching another player to fly.

You know if they don't release this weekend now, I can tell this forum is going to be a rough place for awhile:megalol: Looking forward to going through the manual when I get home, I assume it will answer some questions on the PIC/copilot and door gunner mechanics. Hopefully I can lock out a player copilot from taking over the controls without permission, as I can already see stupidity on the horizon if someone can jerk the controls away from me.

Looking forward to flying a multi-crew craft, assuming multi-seat support works out of the box. It'll be time for Shortbus One to cause havok once again.

AI Messerschmitt Bf109E Beta released
Grim_Smiles replied to kato217's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
Like others have said, it's great to have an opponent that isn't another P-51. Thanks again for this, really appreciated! I will admit though, I'm hoping for a DCS 109G-14 down the road. Don't get me wrong, I'm happy they are making DCS 190, but I've always had a soft spot for the 109s. -
Exactly, and for some using up their teams missiles would be the point, just to piss people off.:spam_laser:

Wags mentioned they are working on several aircraft at the moment, but was hesitant to confirm which ones and how long before complete, beyond confirming the Huey being the next one off the line.

May the simulator gods have mercy on your soul if you're the poor guy taxiing when that gun swings around lol.

There is a link on the DCS site for Lock On from Ubisoft's store to purchase a downloadable copy, but it's a USA link and in US Dollars, so I don't know if that would even be any help to you since you're in South Africa.

When we know something about DCS:FXXC?
Grim_Smiles replied to fedor's topic in DCS World 1.x (read only)
I'm assuming that the features haven't changed since this article, if so that means KA-50 level detail. http://simhq.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/topics/3659269/1.html Key Features of DCS: UH-1H Huey include: Unmatched flight physics providing the most realistic and dynamic helicopter experience on the PC. Multiple player positions, including pilot, co-pilot, and door gunner. Accurate and highly detailed 3D cockpit featuring six-degrees-of-freedom technology. Interactive cockpit controls that allow players to operate systems using the mouse. Accurate UH-1H external 3D model, liveries, and weapons. Detailed modelling of the UH-1H instruments, weapons, engine, radios, fuel, electrical, and hydraulic systems. Developed in close cooperation with real UH-1 operators. Missions that include transport and combat support operations. Training that includes interactive and video lessons. Multiplayer coop mode for crew members of the same helicopter under development for a later update. -

If that doesn't cut it I'll take one for the flanker team and pony up a first born. How about it Wags? I'll mail him straight to your door for convenience, I'll just tell them it's a dog or something. -

Yes we saw Wags response, why the bold type? Just checking, you know we were joking with that bribing Wags to release the flanker right? -

Thanks WAGs! Good to hear you have several aircraft you are developing. I originally thought the SU-27SM was just a rumor, hoping this means it's not. -

I know, was referring to the F-15E. Granted that's not ED's problem that's whoever finishes the 3rd party mod for that. But Eth's comment at least showed the mod maker wouldn't have to figure out the LITENING pod since ED already did that. -
new 123 update-smoke now massively decreases fps
Grim_Smiles replied to 9.JG27 DavidRed's topic in Multiplayer Issues
Odd, when I got the smoke FPS hit while in taxi/takeoff with a Flanker, even looking in the opposite direction of the smoke did not help me. My normal FPS didn't return until I was in the air and rocketing away from the smoke. -

Indeed, I'm not sure how that will work out. I think one of them stalled on development, but then that might just be rumor mill at work. -

EtherealN said F-15C, so unless they made a typo that has nothing to do with the F-15E. After all FC3 is beta and not a release, thus the F-15C has technically not been "released", so I took Eth at their word. My understanding is that the F-15E was being worked on third party. -

:music_whistling: Anyway back on topic: Thanks for that insight EtherealN. Will be nice to see F/A-18 whenever it comes out, sure the US aircraft fans will be happy since Russians have the SU-33. Sounds like the Lpod already being an operating system lays in some of the work for the F-15E eventually, though not sure how the dual cockpit can possibly work so I won't hold my breath on that one.
