I do remember you mentioning before about the cockpit having the necessary things to make it click-able. I don't think any official confirmation has come down but I'm sure A-10C level sim for the F-15 is a guarantee, it is just a question of how much time before ED is able to do it.

Me to, every single one of these aircraft would be sitting in my virtual hanger. Hopefully as ED programs each fighter, they can reuse things to help make the releases go quicker. I imagine many of these fighters have similar radar screens, MFD pages and targeting pods. That has to count for something in shaving off time on development.

I certainly hope so and I expect that it will be. But I know a lot of us thought that when they announced F-15 with F-18 as upcoming modules, that the F-15 was going to be A-10C level - only to find out it was an FC3 F-15 with AFM for the time being. I'm pretty sure though that it was mentioned by ED that F-18 would be A-10C level, though now I want to dig around and see whether I'm correct or not.

What Double_D said, with the addition that after Falcon 4 lasting for so long, some people may want to see something different come out first. I myself would like to see the F-16 make it into DCS (especially with HMS), but I have other aircraft I'd like to see first.

Picked fighter fixed wing, didn't see a category for multi-role fixed wing but I assume fighter fixed wing encompasses this. Doesn't matter if it is carrier or land based to me. Main interest for me is in doing wild weasel missions so any fighter able to carry ARMs is what I'm looking for, specifically of the Russian aircraft variety. I know that upgraded Su-33s can launch ARMs, but that probably isn't the type modeled in FC3 (not to mention I'd prefer a click-able cockpit fighter over the FC3 fidelity). Once DCS:F-18C is launched I'll use that for wild weasel missions until DCS:Su-27SM comes out. *Edit* Didn't see the strike fixed wing entry earlier, but I still stand by my pick. I consider a strike fighter to be a fighter who's primary mission is moving mud, while air combat is a secondary consideration (F-15E, Bombcat, F/A-18E/F). I want an aircraft that is primarily tasked as a fighter, but has ground/SEAD capability - if that makes sense. Think F-16C and not F-15E.

I flew the Huey post-hotfix and had no issues. Also flew the Su-27 since and nothing wrong that I have seen. So far I'm not having any issues with DCS since they rolled out the fixes. kontiuka: The Huey mini-guns seem more accurate to me as well.

+1 Definitely need a new F-4 model. The MiG-21, while still in use beside more updated aircraft, needs opponents of the same generation. Both F-4 and F-5 models could use an update on appearance. F-4 and MiG-21 combined with the Nevada map could allow for scenarios with Arab-Israel conflicts, assuming one can use enough imagination to ignore the fact it is Nevada. I'm sure someone can make a mod that will rename Nevada bases to more appropriate names for those scenarios when the time comes. Could also add in F-14s to the mix for an Iran-Iraq war scenario. Hopefully these models will be updated in the near future, I can understand having to wait for Su-33 and MiG-29 models to be completed first.

Now those ideas I definitely like. Maybe give a mission designer the ability to create a trigger, bomb goes off under certain conditions at a specific location. Lots of scenario possibilities there.

I don't know man. My wingman and I have just completed a tough mission. We RTB low on fuel, maybe with a few holes in us but we're still flying. We BS and chat before beginning our final. Suddenly an aircraft appears high in the sky. Troll meme face plastered on the nose. A penis sketched hastily on the left wing. His plane wobbles from the weight of a large bomb under his fuselage. Suddenly he makes a kamikaze dive for the runaway we are landing on. The bomb releases and a cryptic message pops up on chat "ELEVENTYONE!!!!!! PWN JOU NOOBZ!!! ROFLCOPTER!!!!!". The three of us disappear in a massive flash of light. Would really piss in my cheerios.

You are correct, I meant making a 3D pit as a purchasable upgrade (since I wouldn't expect them to invest in a cockpit for a free aircraft without charging for it).

While on the subject of the Su-25's, I'm hoping ED does a module for Su-25T in the same manner as the Su-25. I can understand not wanting to invest in a free aircraft before, but perhaps with this new way of buying the FC3 aircraft they might consider making a 3D cockpit you can purchase as an upgrade. Free version gets you the 2D cockpit instead. I'm assuming the external model is already going to be updated at some point in the future anyway since ED is in the process of redoing all their models.

I did but still didn't get the newest one. Seems I've gotten every single one but the newest - or at least I assume, I might be getting selective copies and not even know it.

Odd thing is, even though I'm subbed for the newsletter I haven't received that specific one that was posted.

If I recall correctly the target was by or before the end of this year. Like Skate said though, I'd recommend checking Wags' weekly updates for more info.

Agreed, while I can understand not seeing a post in the middle of a large thread, like you said we just went over this. Not to mention that it doesn't take seeing the argument to know that concerns like that have no basis in reality. We have ONE WWII aircraft currently released in DCS vs how many modern aircraft at the moment? Out of all the aircraft currently being worked on by ED and third parties, only ONE of them is a WWII aircraft. When we have more WWII aircraft released than modern aircraft then these guys might have something to worry about.

My apologies, haven't had time to play DCS since the update and didn't realize they had some new icons for those two (had to remote log in just now and start it up just to look). Wags has said that if you have FC3 you will get A-10A and SU-25 AFM and Cockpit for free. So no need to purchase if you have FC3 already.

One is SU-25T which is free, and one is A-10C which is not free. Completely different aircraft from the FC3 A-10A and SU-25. Edit: Unless I'm misunderstanding what you are talking about.
