  1. OR Hello I want an apple - yes I know you have pears, oranges, bananas because that's what I said at the beginning. I also know how to make a ham and cheese sandwich using ham and cheese. However, I'm asking for an apple because.... that's what I want.
  2. I agree with the others - the OP has already acknowledged that there are 3rd party solutions and I'm sure he's well aware of them. I agree with his point, having this integrated as a first class option within DCS would be ideal. Whether that involves shipping with SRS/TARS etc.. who knows.
  3. Interesting - those were almost identical to my download speeds as well. Seems to have slowed down over the last two updates. EDIT: FYI I'm with TalkTalk UK
  4. Are you naming your profile before you save it? I always set up a CCRP/Auto-lase custom profile whenever I'm in the Hog instead of using the automatically generated one. Here's my normal flow before I take off - - DSMS page - Select 'Prof' - Use Up/Down to select the default GBU-12 profile - Select 'View Prof' - Enter name - Change CCRP - Select 'Change Set' - Set auto lase/time etc.. - Save Then just select that named profile when you need it.
  5. Most public MP servers will always eventually gravitate to the lowest common denominator which usually means team death match style antics. By throwing together players of different skills, motivations and maturity it's rare you'll get everyone on the same page at the same time working in a coordinated manner. Joining a squad (or just getting together with a group of like minded individuals) on a private server is without a doubt the best way to go and will always be more rewarding. Some of the most epic MP experiences I've ever had were with a small squad on our own private servers where we'd train, plan and execute missions (all against AI opponents / targets). So to the OP, I'd say try out a few squads and find one that meets your needs.
  6. Just come across these videos, really well done, you got a new subscriber! Even after all these years with the hog there's always something new to learn. Good stuff, keep them coming. This is what I like about the A10C, and why I keep coming back to it after all this time, you can become competent within a relatively short period and enjoy it. But if you really want to take your sim'ing to a whole new level you can immerse yourself in the correct use and employment of systems and procedures to make it extra rewarding. Cheers.
  7. I think I know what I did - I set up the waypoint but instead of setting SPI to STPT, I'd set it to TDC which was off SW of Vegas (just a bit rusty with the hog so no issue there). Here are my thoughts about the mission - - No flight plan is set up so it's a bit disorienting but I guess we could just punch in our own. - Ground units don't seem to call in for CAS, they just march right into the objective and engage. Once it's cleared they then just carry on. I was expecting the units to hold and call in for support before converging on the target areas. I was left loitering off station waiting for the call. - Target designation just keeps rotating constantly between targets. JTAC would laser up a target and then 2 seconds later another target would be marked. This means I couldn't get a reliable fix on anything as it was constantly changing (or is it the same target but just moving? not sure).
  8. Ok, I just had a look at the mission in the editor and I see now where CESAR is supposed to be. However, I was heading in a totally different direction to that. I probably messed up the waypoint input which is why I never activated that trigger. I'll put this down to pilot error. I'll give it another spin as it looks like an interesting mission. Thanks.
  9. Tried to run this mission but nothing happened - punched in CESAR into the waypoint, flew there and nothing ran. What do I have to do to start things off and where do I go? Wonder if it might be worth putting in a flight plan to help us along. Cheers.
  10. Now that is interesting. So that kind of makes sense, retaining the use of the HOTAS button in all the active modes.
  11. Why would you leave your hotas active if you are not in [] mode?
  12. Option 1 to me seems logical and consistent - the HOTAS basically inherits whatever the operational mode ECM was in prior to going into [].
  13. There's been a long history of JTAC communication issues over the years. I don't think I've ever figured a proper solution. I recall a thread some time ago about issues when there's a lot of communication going on simultaneously from other groups and that can cause stuff to go out of sync but I don't recall the details. For the missions you are having an issue with, have you tried loading them up into the mission editor and then saving them to a temporary name and testing it? Perhaps they need refreshing (i.e load/save) based on the newer engine? I honestly have no idea though mate - it's probably one of the reasons we've seen scripters write their own JTAC code rather than use the built in one.
  14. That EWRS picture report script you've put in is a game changer, works really well, good work! Is it sensitive to the number/position of radars you deploy?
  15. Never noticed this before, will have to have a look tonight. But from memory all the switches that I use were always consistent within the context of where my head is looking? E.g, if I turn my head to the left side of the cockpit then mouse LEFT/RIGHT becomes DOWN/UP - if I turn my head to the right side of the cockpit then mouse LEFT/RIGHT becomes UP/DOWN? I've probably trained my brain to do this without thinking.
  16. Yes, first sensible point I've seen. Buyers remorse can be an issue but it's all down to how confident you are of your product. Good point though.
  17. Hmmm. An SU-25T is not the same as an A10C is it? My point is that if users were given a limited chance to try another module (high fidelity or not) they may actually purchase it. Wouldn't that ultimately benefit all?
  18. Not sure it's related but it seems the latest patch has messed up some of the triggers and this might have something to do with what you are seeing.
  19. I think it would be a good idea if ED offered a time limited trial of aircraft - say something like 1 week. Assuming the DRM copy protection is capable, I reckon it would be a nice way of letting folks have a taste of a module before they buy. I can think of a lot of examples outside of DCS where I've taken out a free trial and then gone on to purchase the product/service because I had a chance to play around with it and liked it - I wonder if this model would work with DCS?
  20. As a workaround I've mapped key bindings instead of an axis to Radar Up/Down. Not ideal but at least I can now move the radar up and down.
  21. Is there any workaround for this in the short term? Now that it's no longer an absolute axis but rather a velocity axis.
