  1. Yeah we had a hard time finding some of them even during the day lol Also let me know if you want any voice recordings for initial JTAC comms (English accent though) +1 rep inbound
  2. Great stuff MB!! A couple of things I noticed: Step 17 - should read EGI and CDU (not DCU) Step 27 - You can also turn on your radios prior to engine start, to get permission from ATC for engine start (which you need to do prior to taxi permission) and maybe add a step on how to tune radio to ATC frequency? Step 30 - Should be EAC and RDR ALTM switches, not both EAC switches Step 31 - should be "Arm ejection seat" Again great stuff and thanks for supporting the community.
  3. Just been flying for the past 4 hours+ with 2 VRA team mates. Excellent mission, although the targets are buggers to find (except the runway one) lol. I also love the JTAC giving co-ords to program into the CDU, very nice touch. Have you thought about adding a ground JTAC to the mission also at each new target area to really get you working?
  4. Yes that is normal. Yep and to have anti-collision lights on, you need to set pinky switch to off (central) then switch on anti-collision on the panel, then pinky switch back on to static or flashing.
  5. Great, thanks for the explination there

  7. I knew I forgot something on my list, radios. Ah cool thanks Olgerd for clarifying that. haha that master caution please pay attention to me annoying tone. Just hit the Master Caution flashing light button just under the HUD I've always needed APU GEN power to start my right engine, i've never got it working woth it off (unless on ground power, but I rarely use that, only on very cold mornings)
  8. To be honest I don't know. I always go through my full checklist from the beta version training tweaking here and there for the latest releases. Not being an aircaft electrician, is there enough power with just the APU to switch everything on prior to engine start? I know the APU takes a hit as you start the engines and would assume it would take more of a hit with all CDU, EGI, MFCD's Etc. all on as well. Again I assume ground power would also help. One thing to try I guess. Really? why? Batt to on, inverter to stndby, signal lamp test, fuel test, oxy on, oxy ind test, L&R boost pumps to on, L&R fuel flow to Norm, APU start, check P's & T's, APU GEN to PWR, L&R batt to on, L engine start, check P's & T's, R engine start, check P's & T's, switch off APU and APU GEN after both engines have spooled up, IFCC to test, CICU, BIT test start, Yaw and Pitch SAS, Trim, CDU, EGI, Countermeasures, lights, exit BIT test, IFCC to on, JTRS to on, DTS Load ALL, left MFCD to TAD, right MFCD to CDU, when ready press NAV OSB, when ready press EGI button, RDR ALT to NRM, steerpoint to FLT PLN. Then I recheck all my switches ready for taxi, do my DSMS loadout changes, request taxi then EAC on. Also note the new master caution on first engine start, this is meant to happen. Doing all that from memory but I don't think I missed any steps. Prior to take off at runway hold - check flaps, check pitot switch, check master arm safe, check flight controls (again) and then taxi out to runway I'll update my startup checklist sheet tomorrow and post up if that helps.
  9. Thanks for reading the release notes Toadster. Unfortunately many people just download and jump right in to see the goodies (normally me) lol
  10. What mission is this from, or custom made mission?
  11. Ah cool, nice. Yeah, whoever said Windows was my friend....lol
  12. Don't arm EAC until just before you are ready to taxi out (last step before asking ATC) That should give enough time for everything to align. So follow normal startup procedure until... Right MFCD press NAV OSB (left MFCD TAD display will load your map and a star will appear next to NAV) Set Steerpoint switch to Flight Plan (waypoints appear on TAD map display) Press EGI button (in front of stick) Carry on with start-up checklist until ready to taxi out EAC switch to ARM (EAC caution light will go out) If your GCAS warning light is on, check your RDR ALT switch is set to NRM Let me know if you still have issues and I'll do a quick video
  13. My camera is also about 2ft away form the receiver, I have TIR4 and it works no problem. When I started flying DCS (BS and A10) I had issues where I couldn't keep still, but now its fine with a little practice. I used to use the F7 freeze trackir key, but now am used to small head movements. The z-axis does help a lot.
  14. Copy that Asparagin. I'm currently updating my 32bit system after a serious Windows crash :( so can try a few things on that when it's back up.
  15. Guys, please post tech support issues on the Tech Support forums so we can help check them out, and look for other people's problems similar to yours that might have an answer already. I'm sure with the multitude of different systems, drivers, etc there are bound to be problems somewhere. One thing to remember now is that the jet starts up in HARS mode so you need to switch to EGI after full INS alignment for EAC to arm. My inbox has gone crazy this morning with this one. Also, your FPM/TVV will be missing from your HUD while in HARS Mode. You need to switch to EGI Mode to get that to display on the HUD. Any other questions, fire away and we'll try to answer them as we can. Cheers, Ells.
  16. Check again in 1.1.0.8 patch, this has gone away for me and works fine.
  17. That was funny, I just fired off a 65 and PT says "what the... the patch is out" and literally 30 seconds later the server gets company lol Thus ended the testing of 1.1.0.8 hehe
  18. Enjoy it guys and remember to turn your volumes up ;)
  19. Oh wow Tom!!! Awesome work as usual
  20. With the iPhone 4 you can hot switch between apps very easilly, on 3 you have to close one app then open the other. I think the latest iPod Touch with iOS4 you can hot switch easily too.
  21. Awesome app, can't wait for that one
  22. Well you have to take into account here that Flaming Cliffs was published under Ubisoft, so restrictions are in place by them, not ED. Whereas DCS is'nt which is why it's a lot more open in LUA. Just my two pennies worth anyway
  23. Thanks for answering Blaze, and loved the chill comment hehe Yes we are developing a Typhoon model and cockpit for FC2 (exterior model has been out for some time since FC1.12a). And as Blaze said once we figure out how to move the MFD displays onto the MFCD panels she'll be fully combat ready. Work on the switch panels is obviously ongoing still as you can see from the screenshots. Exciting times indeed!!
  24. Hey Vincent, Well we made a breakthrough a couple of weeks ago and testing of the 3d cockpit will recommence this week. You can apply to become a tester (upon agreement with an NDA) on our forums here: http://www.veao.eu/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=194
  25. Awesome news Tyger. I will definitely watch them regardless as I'm sure I'll pick up some things I miss. Great job!!!
