It is. Watch the airspeed indicator when the plane swings into the wind. It's stable between 80 to 90kts which is just below TO speed in the Mustang.

I have never worked on the flight controls of an A320 so I could not speak to that... hence the caveat of "aircraft I have been in". I have only worked on the flight controls of F/A-18D/F, EA-18G and S-3B aircraft that have dual controls in the cockpit. I would assume the F-16B/D/F/I would have a stick without mechanical linkages as well. I don't follow most airliner news so that is interesting to note about the A-320.

Yes, the pilot, by saying he has the aircraft, means he is taking control again. Sometimes this would include a small stick shake to let the other crewman know he has positive control but not always. This statement is basic multi-crew airmanship. Judging from the communications translation, the WSO recovered the aircraft while the pilot was still recovering from GLOC. Every aircraft I have been in with multiple pilotable positions, the controls are all connected together. I assume the Mirage 2000D is the same.

Although he is undoubtedly a good Tomcat pilot, I doubt Brigadier General Zandi has near the amount of stick time Captain Snodgrass has in the F-14. There is more to flying experience than employing weapons in combat. While 11 kills is impressive, that same opportunity, a full on near peer war, was not afforded to Capt. Snodgrass and as such cannot by itself be used as a metric for flying experience. Capt. Snodgrass has over 5000 flight hours in the Tomcat and with less than 79 airframes in the IIRAF the opportunity to attain that amount flight hours is unlikely. That said,these two, head to head with F-14A's, my money would be on Capt. Snodgrass. I'm also pretty sure BGen Zandi will not be available to act as a SME due to political reasons that might cause him to be put to death...

Imagine if that was one of the new modules they announced. It would be hilarious to watch everyone's panties get knotted up in a bunch at the same time. I'd welcome it to be honest. It might bring some of the FSX crowd over to DCS... you know, like a gateway drug. It is a nice little airplane. I flew in one from Little Rock to DFW about 20 years ago.

Odd, most of the pilots I have talked to say the Harrier is not a very maneuverable bird in BFM. Of course they were Tomcat, Hornet and Super Hornet drivers.

You left out the small war load and short combat radius part as well. I too would like to see an AV-8B or Harrier GR7 in DCS as well but the A-7E brings more to the table as a Su-25T replacement and would be easier to produce. That and I would like to see a early to mid 80's CVW with flyable DCS level aircraft to perform multiplayer Alpha Strikes with. From everything I have read the Marines leave the SEAD/DEAD mission to the Prowlers and Hornets and Anti-Ship doesn't seem to get any training time whatsoever. The USMC Harrier is all about CAS for the Marine Rifleman on the Beachhead. I'm not sure about the Italian and Spanish Navies though they might train with Harpoon and HARM. Anyone have any info on the Spanish or Italian Harriers?

Federal Standard 595 color FS36118 is the colors true name. In modeling circles it is referred to as Gunship Grey. Not sure what the wing wipers call it though.

The hangar deck is for aircraft maintenance and storage purposes. During flight operations all aircraft start on the flight deck. It takes a very long time to move an aircraft from the hangar to the flight deck. I've personally waited 13 hours straight to move a jet from the hangar spot to the elevator and then to the flight deck. Moving the elevators during flight operations is not routinely done as it disrupts the flow of the deck during the flight schedule. From a flying perspective it would be wasted time to develop a feature such as this. It is not how operations on the boat work. A-7 can do that and use HARM, Maverick, Shrike, Walleye and HOBOS as well. Additionally, it would be a great replacement for the Su-25T as they are similar in performance and war load.

The S-3B that the Hornet will use is already available in game. Now, if you were referring to a buddy tanking capability then that is not a Hornet capability. Only the Super Hornet has that as one of its mission sets.

Voted for The Harrier (Sea Harrier FRS1, Harrier GR3/GR7), Tornado (PA-200, ECR and GR1), Mirage F1 (AZ, C-200, CR, CT, EQ-4) Mirage 2000D/N-K2, Mirage IIIC and Other. The other is the Buccaneer S2, Victor B2/K2, AMX and Jaguar GR1/A/T2.

And nothing to orbit around.

... The A-7E would be a perfect replacement for the Su-25T:music_whistling: As long as the Mirage 2000C is accurately modeled I'm happy. If the RDI radar variant was not capable of employing the AM39 or the ARMAT then so be it. I'm just stoked to have the opportunity to learn the ins and outs of the Mirage 2000C.:thumbup:

From looking at the RAZBAM product line, I believe the A-7E Corsair II will be a great plane to replace the Su-25T in east vs. west missions. I'd also like to see the A-6E Intruder and AV-8B/Harrier GR7 as well. As for another Mirage 2000, I'd like to have a Mirage 2000N-K2 or Mirage 2000D strike aircraft.
