I am relatively new to DCS, so I don't know much about when they release their products. I have seen pretty old posts that mentioned that they guessed the next DCS aircraft after the P-51D would be the F/A-18C, but the official announcement from DCS was in a video on Youtube I think. However, the email seemed more like a formal announcement, whereas the video seemed more like a teaser, because it was only mentioned. How long do you think it will take? When you so, "close to pre-order/beta", do you mean close as in months? or close as in maybe a year? Thanks!

Any idea where I can get a good stick extension for the HOTAS warthog that allows me to put the base of the stick on the floor, like in the A-10C? How expensive would this be. Has anyone been able to build one themselves? Thanks

I did lots of research on if SSD's give a performance boost, and they shouldn't. They only reduce loading time. It has nothing to do with performance AFAIK

It would have been cool if you could buddy refuel in the F/A-18C.

Trying to get this thread back on track. What will you guys do first with the F/A-18C? I will most definitely do carrier ops online non-stop. I am also hoping that Thrustmaster releases a F/A-18C or F-15C joystick attachment. That would be amazing!

Does anyone know when Flaming Cliffs 3 will be released? Not the beta, but the full game? I just want to know when they will start developing the F-15C and then the F/A-18C!!!!

I think that he was talking about the VRS fans, not the devs. I'm sure we all respect VRS. But let's face it, the ESP engine that is used for FSX is just outdated and not suitable for combat simulation. They can create add-ons etc., but this often just creates more problems. ED is actively working with 3rd party devs creating actual modules themselves of amazing quality. I honestly think that VRS won't be able to compete against DCS: F/A-18C or F/A-18E because the devs have much more resources, and a better sim to work with. Question: Does anyone have any kind of estimate on when the newest module COULD possibly be released? How long did it take for the A-10C to be completed? We could make some kind of estimate, am I right? I am not asking for a release date, I know it can take long, but it's worth the wait.

Yes you are right. ED is developing the F-15C, so not FC3 but a fully clickable F-15C module. RAZBAM and IRIS Simulations are both working on a F-15E.

I'm sure many of you have seen that ED is working on the F/A-18C. Personally, I am very exited about this product, and I cannot wait to start flying this beast. Always have been a big fan of the F/A-18's. What do you guys think? How do you think it will compare to the VRS Superbug?

I'm not sure if anyone checked their email yet, but apparently Eagle Dynamics is working on 3 new aircraft after the completlion of Flaming Cliffs 3. The aircraft they are going to develop are the F-15C, F/A-18C and Fw-190D9. Here is what they said in the email. "Currently the team is focused on completing Flaming Cliffs 3 and continued updates and improvements to DCS World. Once Flaming Cliffs 3 is complete, more of our focus will shift to upcoming DCS titles like the F-15C, F/A-18C and Fw-190D9. Looking further out, Eagle Dynamics and our partners plan a large number of new modules that include the Su-27SM, F-86F, MiG-15Bis, MiG-21Bis, Hawk, Mi-8, Mi-24, OH-58 and AH-1G, to just name a few." Next to this, they are going to release the UH-1 Huey with the 1.2.4 update, but we already knew this.

Can someone correct the F-14D? They are only developing the F-14A not the F-14D

When I get in contact with the boom in the F-15C, I have no control over the aircraft anymore. No stick movement whatsoever. I have done aerial refueling in the A-10C and I do have control in that aircraft. I use a HOTAS Warthog if that matters. Any help on this issue? Thanks to anyone in advance!:)

Hi everyone! I bought the HOTAS Warthog to go with my new DCS modules, A-10C and FC3. I am totally new to combat flight simulation and I am loving it with this amazing flight sim and setup. I got my TrackIR and Saitek Rudder Pedals to work, however, setting up the HOTAS Warthog with FC3 is pretty complicated. I found a profile on the website for TARGET, however, it did not really help much. I am trying to give every nob, switch and axis an assignment that is similar to its function in the A-10C, only in the F-15C from FC3. One thing that seems to be impossible to solve is the target designator. With the A-10C the target designator is moved by using the slew control. This is assigned in the HOTAS command line in the A-10C's controls. Unfortunately, with the F-15C's control there are no HOTAS command lines and thus, I cannot assign this slew control, which is detected as two axes, to the target deisgnator up, down, left and right commands. I am running into other problems because I cannot find functions that the coolie switch has for instance in the F-15C. Can anyone help me with this problem? Any help will be greatly appreciated!
