Don't forget about the F/A-18C. That is probably going to be the most detailed fighter for DCS, since ED is making the F-15C and the Su-27 mid fidelity aircraft.

I bought FC3 simply because it contained the only fighters in DCS. It's not really my style, but I enjoy flying it once in a while, simply because i've got the need for speed. I wish ED could just get us some more high fidelity, because I won't buy any more Flaming Cliffs or mid fidelity aircraft. I want the real deal! Please ED! Give is high fidelity!

I like that idea, however, are you talking about a Korean war era or more of a futuristic era in the probable future where there is war between North Korea and Western countries.

I have tried to contact tankers and AWACS in game, but they don't ever seem to respond. I am a newbie, so I might have forgotten some steps. Can anyone tell me what to do to get in contact with tankers and AWACS? Thanks

Thank you, it worked. I went into the mission editor, went into the A-10C payload and created a new one. And as you mentioned, under Pods I was able to add smoke generators in all kinds of colors. Thank you for your help!

Today I have finally been able to play since updating to 1.2.4, but now I can't seem to find the smoke generators in DCS. I used to contact the ground crew and choose Air show, but now the weapon selection menu in the ATC is different. I can't find the smoke pylons, cause I don't really know what they're called. Any help? Thanks!

This is the exact same situation with me. Flaming Cliffs may be their most successful line of products, but that doesn't mean that it's what the customers want. I bought FC3 for the same reason, simply to support ED in their development to create more high fidelity aircraft. I bought FC3, BS2 and the P-51D, but I hardly use those three. I mainly use the A-10C, but I bought all those other products to support ED. So please ED, develop HIGH FIDELITY aircraft ONLY outside of Flaming Cliffs.

I actually agree with this donation idea. I would rather pay more money to get a high fidelity aircraft instead of a mid fidelity aircraft. In fact, I won't even purchase the F/A-18C from ED if it's not high fidelity, as in A-10C quality. I was extremely exited about the F/A-18C when they announced it, but they crushed my dreams when I heard it might be mid fidelity. Does anyone know if it is confirmed that the F/A-18C will be mid fidelity? Anyhow, we are sure that the F/A-18E from Cortex is going to be high fidelity, so I will definitely go for that one.

As far as I know, ED has only announced that they are working on A-10C quality aircraft, such as the F/A-18C, F-15C and the Su-27. I'm pretty sure they have already confirmed that these are going to become A-10C quality, so I don't know what aircraft you are talking about.

I've got some semi good news. I'm not sure if any of you have seen the May 3rd update, but it mentioned this "Work will also accelerate on development of DCS: F-15C and DCS: Su-27. I hope to talk more about those next week." I am extremely exited to hear about the F-15C again, since that is an aircraft I am definitly looking forward to, however, I would have liked to see a mention of the F/A-18C, because I would rather have the Hornet now. I think the quote above is an indication of what aircraft will be released the earliest. Therefore, the F-15C will be released prior to the F/A-18C, is what I am assuming. Good news for the DCS community, though. I am exited!

I live in the Netherlands and it's Queensday + the Dutch queen just stepped down officially 2 hours ago. I guess she wants to free up some time for DCS 1.2.4 and the UH-1H. :megalol:

You can get the Nevada map that was in the A-10C beta for free. I have it, but I hardly use it. I looked up Nevada footage on youtube, and in the comment I saw that the uploader of the video said that if you wanted it, you needed to message him and he would share the file on google drive. That's what I did and now I have it.

I just noticed what you actually said there. Are you saying that the lagging when smoke is in your vision, is a bug or a problem? I thought that it was just very heavy on the computer, so I needed to upgrade. Could you please clarify?
