As long as we get told when the pre-order period will end and when the release date will be (with enough warning for people to have the chance to buy at the per-order discount) then it doesn't matter if you buy on the first day of the pre-order or the last

Just tried this out and it looks awesome! So far the only issue I've got is the reflections of the harness buckles in the MFDs. They jitter around and they're really distracting. Is it possible to turn those off?

Thanks everyone - sounds very much like what I must have been doing and really helpful info! I deliberately didn't touch the T0/1/TV buttons in my latest attempt and the waypoints stayed where I expected them too. I don't think I'd understood that pressing the T1/TV bind was pulling a trigger to that point and leaving it there - I thought it was momentary. I'll make sure I understand this in more detail! Still leaves with the mission that doesn't seem to progress, but I guess that must be unrelated to my waypoint issues....

Gave it another go this evening. Interestingly this time the waypoints stayed in the right places. The only thing I can think of that I did different was not trying to use the radar lock in A/A guns/missiles mode. Maybe the TV button is trying to do a waypoint fix or something. However the mission still doesn't progress properly. I get a few radio calls about transports coming in, then nothing. I fly back and forth along the CAP route a few times, but nothing happens.....

I'm definitely not doing anything deliberate. I'm not touching anything in the cockpit that I can think of. I finished attacking the helos, start turning back towards B2 and it moves.

I tried it again tonight. Turns out I did have something else bound to changing the selected cart, so I fixed that. But it didn't fix the issue - and didn't expect it to since at no point am I reloading the cart. Took off and flew to B2 (start of CAP) Flew to B3 (end of CAP) Re-select B2 and head back Call comes to attack the helos Attack those and get the comms that I have successfully repelled them Almost immediately B2 jumps to be pointing somewhere else (the yellow marker on the HSI moves without me doing anything) Fly there and B3 is even further down the river. It's almost like both points have translated Fly between them for a bit anyway and no more scripted stuff happens Figure maybe I need to kill the remaining 2 helos that are returning to base so go after them Kill them and as I turn round to head back to B2, B2 changes again and points off somewhere else Again it's like B2 and B3 have translated At no point does it feel like any more scripted actions occur and the mission is 'stuck' Didn't think to compare the actual LOLA values - that's a good point @Machalot will give that a try tomorrow. Have attached a track but not sure if it works. I tried it sped up and it just taxis me into the grass ViggenBug.trk

But my problem is that during the flight the waypoints in the computer seem to just change. Which could only happen if the kneeboard cartridge changed, and I loaded it in using 9099, and I'm definitely not doing the load part even if I've got some weird bind that's changing the selected cart.

Hmmm wouldn't you still need to remove/reinsert the data cart, and do a load in the CK as well for that to affect the mission?

I'm trying to complete the 1st mission of the 'Wrath of Thunder' campaign, but it seems to bug out after the part where you attack the group of Hinds. Once I do that I try and return to my CAP but the waypoints have moved. I check the kneeboard and it's saying it's now using an F-10 data cartridge created in multiplayer!. I reselect the mission cartridge (0), remove and reload, but my waypoints are still screwed up. Nothing else scripted in the mission then seems to work and I eventually return home to a draw. Anyone else seen this behaviour?

Turns out that having the Easy Comms option turned on in the main settings screws up the radio, even if you don't use the easy comms button in the mission to use the radio..... Turned that off and was able to complete the mission -
I'm trying to get my flight to attack the fleet of ships, but so far they're just ignoring me. I believe you can't use easy comms in the Viggen, so I am selecting channel '1' on the radio and activating the radio1 menu. The options are sometimes greyed out and then I have to key the radio again to get the options to be white. Weirdly sometimes they report contacts and sometimes they say nothing at all. Not sure if that's related to the greying out sometimes. I've tried instructing the flight to engage ships, and I've tried instructing them to engage primary target. Neither option seems to do anything?

This was the route we thought was most likely. What I'm not sure is how you get your tasking. Do you need a commander online who will give you a some target co-ords, then you can build a flightpath to go take it you?

Not sure if this is a good place to post this but here goes..... My buddies and I have been playing DCS for a while. We dogfight each other, do the training and instant action missions to learn our aircraft etc. Sometimes venture online (but in a limited way) - mostly just to dogfight. It feels very 'sandboxy' though. When not dogfighting, we're playing some prebuilt scenario, and a) it feels like we're having no effect past blowing up what we blow up and it's the same each time and b) creating the missions takes a lot of time/effort (and then we know what's going to happen). Is there anything more 'dynamic' out there? We tried Liberation, which is cool but has some disadvantages like having to wait for all the other flights to take off etc. since the game can't put the other units in the air already before we start. Do the online PVE servers offer something realistic with actual taskings to accept? We jumped on a couple, but weren't sure how to actually accept missions with waypoints etc. We just end up taking off and flying around hoping to find something to hit. I guess what we'd like is to go online and have a number of different taskings available. Pick what we'd like to do as a flight, check out the route, pick stores etc. then fly it. Hopefully other players are in the same theatre either directly impacting our mission or just going on on the side. The AI threat would be constantly changing. Thanks in advance for any suggestions. We're probably missing something obvious :)

I just tried this out. Looks interesting but performance seems really bad? When I'm in the F-10 view the MovingMap display updates constantly, but when I'm in the cockpit it sticks and updates only sporadically. So it's not much use atm. Maybe an issue with 2.8?

Looks like graphics drivers were FUBAR'd. Reinstalled and it's working again! :D

I found that mod's instructions and removed the various files it had overwritten. Ran a repair and watch DCS recreate original files, so should be back to stock I hope.... Still won't start though :(

Hi mate, Just tried a repair and still broken :( Is there a way to tell what mods I might be running? I dimly remember using something in the past to allow me to put my MFDs etc on another monitor, but I thought all that got wiped out by DCS World update, as I used to have to reapply it (sorry it's been a long time since I did that so the details are a bit vague) :( Justin

As of today my DCS World won't launch at all. I upgrade to 1.2.10 and did some windows 7 update in the last day or so. Don't if either might have caused it.
