  1. Looks great in that video. Very jealous of the screens!!!
  2. Very good :)
  3. If they're plugged into a USB hub would that still be the case? It couldn't close the usb port if there was other traffic coming from other devices on the hub I'd assume.
  4. LOL What sort of GPU would you need to run a single 2560 X 1080 screen at a good framerate with high details?
  5. I'm currently on the fence with going triple screen. While I think it would be very nice (I have trackIR equivalent and think it would be great on 3 screens) I'd have to factor in 3 new screens, something to mount them all and a pretty hefty GPU to run them all at a decent framerate. That would probably come to around £1200, assuming £200 per screen, £500 for a top-end GPU and £100 for a decent mount setup). I'm tempted now instead just to get a nice big 27/29" IPS panel and just run 1 screen well like the last poster describes. Probable cost would be 1/2 the above and if the screen fills my FOV it'll probably be immersive enough.....

  7. I'm doing campaign missions now. Learning to use JTAC and CDU etc. It's a nice step up from the Instant Action missions.
  8. Ahhhhhhhhhhhh thank you!
  9. I'll see if I can figure that out later. It's the default A-10C campaign and I've done 6 missions I think. I didn't think you could retry though. Doesn't it just move onto the next mission?
  10. Last night in a campaign mission I got my first JTAC assignment. Coordinates were something like GG327446 and all was fine. Once I destroyed these and moved onto the second JTAC the coordinates were something like KM517426. The numbers might be wrong but definitely KM. When entered into my CDU this seemed to create a waypoint that was a very long way from my current position. The steerpoint marker was way off on the horizon. However the 9-line was telling me the target was 10nm away. Did I do something wrong?
  11. I have 2 screens on Win7 (mine are one above the other but that shouldn't matter). I installed these files: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=1541311#post1541311 (I picked the A-10+KA-50 No cockpit MFD set) Then just defined the positions in my monitor config file. I'll post you that when I get home?
  12. Hehe thanks Eno. I tend to be sitting between 7000 and 10000', so I'm guessing this isn't doing me any favours :) The JTAC is telling me the SA threats, but still not figured out how to find them relative to my target so I end up just going in anyway and hoping my wingman takes all the heat :D
  13. Been working on using JTAC and the CDU during campaign missions to set up target points and it's working out really well! Adds a lot of immersion to the mission to communicate, get the 9-line, set it all up etc. I tend to do it while on the runway doing my final checks. Still struggle to have any clue where the AA threats are though :(
  14. Thought this was quite atmospheric :) (not sure how to post it bigger)
  15. You could run a Helios monitor or something from the 2nd card though I guess?
  16. Very, very jealous! :)
  17. Is that a working HUD? Wow :)
  18. My throttles are definitely all the way up and back when loading into the cold start.
  19. Ah ok good to have another option thanks :)
  20. What's more strange is I'm sure I never used to see this behaviour with my throttles. My memory may be incorrect however. Will try some of the suggestions above to see what the axis are actually doing.... A slight nudge of the throttle gets them in sync so it's hardly a deal-breaker or anything. Just a mild annoyance :)
  21. Hi Hamblue. Yes you're probably right. Trying to commit all this to memory is getting quite tricky :)
  22. Do you have the same 'starting airborne' issue as well Milli?
  23. I seem to have the same issue when starting airborne. I press 'fly' with both throttles at max but once in the cockpit I have to give the throttles a bit of a wiggle to get the game to pick up their current position. If I forget I find I'm flying along at 50% or something.
  24. Just popped on for a bit. 4 AGM kills, bunch of GAU kills and 1 AIM9 kill. Think I killed more friendlies than enemies ;) Stats looked ok I think?
  25. Ah ok wasn't sure if you were planning to set a time to get as many people in as possible or something :) I'll try and drop in later this evening ;)
