Hello community! I am trying to watch an instructional track "Takeoff Demonstration" for the P-51D tutorials. For some reason, the instructor veers off the runway and crashes spectracularly. I've tried to enable Auto-rudder and take-off assists but it didn't help. :) Any idea why this is happening? :)

Well, I've written down the MP/RPM chart and put it to use, but I believe I still use incorrect power settings for ascent and maneuvering :)

Does ARMA count as an FPS?

You'll need to take some time off and run an FPS just to relax from the sheer nerdiness of hardcore flight-sims. :) At least that's what I do! :) When I fly some A-10 on Rush in BF3, I come back and fly DCS A-10C and, like, TRIPLE my enjoyment of the sim. :) Just got the P-51D and miraclously managed to land it nicely the first time around. :) When I started thinking about it, I started crashing. :)

I got my TIR5 last week. Well, practice makes perfect. Start with a simple default profile and low sensitivity and work from there, you will then slowly realize what you need to tweak. If there is too much "throw" on the yaw axis (looking around left and right), you'll trim that, if you have problems looking down, you'll fix that up with adding some asymmetric curve on the Pitch axis. It takes time and patience to get it working the way you want it to...

I know a workaround for that. Use an "Advanced Command" instead of a regular one and make the keypress for 3 seconds. PM me if you need info.

Any news on the project? At least some basic functional presets for A-10C, perhaps? Like radio frequencies?

I suggest you check out Hoggit guys. (hoggit.us) and drop by the IRC channel hoggit on freenode. They're awesome and they've got numbers. I'm GMT +3 and also devoting a lot of time to flying the A-10C. Drop me a message and we could do some missions together.
