Mujahedeen soldier? FIRING NOW! :)
On-topic, though, TFX was my favourite combat sim at the time (1994) and I used to play it for MONTHS. The soundtrack contributed a lot to the immersion, maginficient work by Barry Leitsch.
A truly memorable game. "Tracking... Looks like the lizard!"
Now some guys on this forum with lots and lots of "prototypes" should learn from VirPil Controls. No-nonsense guys, thumbs up! Can't wait until february.
SICK, just SICK! Wishing the company all the best.
Oh for Pete's sake, I am coming to a Lynx thread see a great WORKING PROTOTYPE and the next thing I see this HEGYKC guy with his usual blah-blah...
GOD!!!!!! PLEASE!!!!
(sorry, I just had to say this).
Baur has finally gone international...
Proud owner of a BRD-N floor-mounted stick with his KG-13 grip and Mi-8 pedals from him and planning to order a second pair of controls.
Everything I am praying for is a BRD collective and throttle to make BRD a true HOTAS.
GO BAUR!
P.S.
The guy is great as are the products. Just buy them, you won't find a better bargain for the price. He worked meticulously to optimize his manufacturing process and make it as sturdy and affordable as possible and I believe NO ONE can beat him to it. But others have stolen his designs before he has hit the market and we all know who it is.
Thanks Sokol, helpful as always! I am planning to cannibalize a gamepad for this project, does it matter which one I pick? (xbox, ps3, logitech)? Maybe some gamepad models have better quality sticks?
Thanks!
Hello everyone,
It may be a simple and obvious question but my googling attempts and reading on popular controllers like Leo Bodnar's devices haven't made it clear.
I am designing my first custom panel, trying to get the hang of this. :)
I am looking to add a few stand-alone analog sticks from salvaged xbox 360 or PS3 controllers to my setup. My intention is to use them for slew control of the radar and optical systems.
Any suggestions for a controller board? A few buttons would also be nice.
Thanks in advance, everyone!
Yes you can. Easy to check, get a non simmer friend of yours to try taking off. Instruct him. See him crash & burn. That's how I checked for the "dumbing down". :)
This only applies to those that have a direct connection via the NIC. If they're behind a router (and the vast majority is) and don't have DMZ configured, they're quite safe with the firewall turned off.
