Is this really as complicated as it looks? For me it's first year of flying that bird. Let me tell you does it look complicated and complex... Yeah it does ... And it's a journey to master it. For me to overcome it I started to do some research on the plane. Watch some documentaries, read some articles and most important learned how big of a role A10C played and became a game changer as CAS for USA. When "we" clicked I took it further. Next reading the DCS manual.. It put me into a zone of feeling like in school again...except its a fly school now, And during that time I would watch the "Jets" series a documentary story of Canadian Super hornet drivers.... That where obtaining hands on training to become a fighter jets pilots. After that I find out that my logitech 3d joystick would not do any good if I want to step up my game... Later I started invest money into HOTAS ruder pedals FIP TRACK Ir Modifying my desk headphones Vac Software ... Tutorials from you tube a key element to learn. Users like great Gerry Abbott, from his videos you not only learn how to A to Z a10 but he will explain how to configure your software correctly as well. Matt Wagner the producer has some great tutorials videos as well and actually he is a great narrator I wish he would get involved into the tutorials. So... If you don't find passion for it it may be not for you. The good news are that you don't really have to go that far DCS offers so called game mode where everything is simplified and ready to go. But if you go DCS sim mode it's rewarding at the end... And worth every penny spent on it, Good luck to all

Track IR 6 Yes I'm looking forward to it and in matter of fact that's the last missing pice of my setup Hawg heaven here I come Edit: Got Track IR set it up and love it. I'm pretty much run on default profile for hog. Will make adjustments soon. Also purchased VAC Software and I have to admit this sim blow me away now.

I just ordered track ir5 I want to try it before oculus will get more reviews I'll definitely try to make the pro clip wireless thanks for the post.

Would you suggest holding off with purchase of trackir ??

I got into all this back in January 2013... Started out with A10C and Logitech 3D Pro Joystick.... It was painful experience but I learned how to fly a hog thanks to community and you tube mostly... then the taste for better stuff came.... I found myself liking Saitek gear they had it all and then my X65F HOTAS came along with Pro Ruder Pedals and Flight Instrument Panel (FIP) ... and a trip to home depo to get piece of wood ...strainer... and screw the HOTAS into the Italian desk :) Now to the point why is Sites not supporting DCS with Things like FIP ... They mention on their (outdated looking) website that their products are combat pilot approved... Why aren't They DCS approved the worlds best combat simulator... According to the producer the F15 pilot that helps them with AFM favors DCS over some government approved test software. Now THAT'S combat pilot approved!! Thankfully we have some very very gifted community members that put things together for us... I just don't get why DCS is not supported by Saitek out of the box and marketed on their website perhaps that's the question for Saitek ...unless someone knows otherwise. Thanks

I hope it won't be that advance that the Government won't allow us to use it lol But after F15 AFM I would like to see F15 silent eagle being modeled

Seen the move in 3d at local AMC . I was little concern about the cast, but over all I think It came out pretty good, will definitely get it on blue ray .

I would figure few months since there are so may you tube videos of DIY .... You like cable I dont simple ...especially for a clip come on it could be wireless no issues at all all it has to do is project led light into receiver ... Everybody would benefit from it being cable less .....

I'll go with trackIR WHEN a wireless clip comes out ...

I think a small thumbnails preview of how the aircraft or any other ground or see unit looks like also a skin preview in mission editor would gain advantage for a new comers. Some of new users will try to have fun and I remember we my first mission editing have to google on my iPad what is what. It was nice learning process but I'm rather patient person ;)

I got into the flight sim and I love everything about it except the head tracking system. I thought oculus rift would be cool but on the other hand I would be limited to HOTAS use only I think kinect like device would suit all of us best, I also dislike the clip or cap Idea

New Saitek X-55 I'm pretty much sure you are right on the money here. If you pay attention to saitek testing bench found on their tweeter account. The throttle or its prototype is in right lower corner. There is also another cable where picture ends that's probably going to be the stick but clearly they would not dare to capture that Oh well I like the stick but ill prefer to stay with my x65 throttle if someone need this throttle but not a stick pm me

If so all the focus will be pointed on hornet as far dcs standard but would love to get F-15 as well.

Upcoming F15 AFM FC module skin edit I would like to know which variant of F15 ED will be release as advance fly model. I want to start editing skin for it and ED offers two variants C and E does it mater which one.

Oculus Rift Support Thread I'm not a type who is always waiting for better tech and never getting stuff at the end, but according to article they tested HD version so it should be sooner than later.... Now 4k I still relative new and it will some time when it becomes standard.
