  1. Have this in FSX, purchased ballpark 2010 or so.
  2. I kind of think the chat flag commands are unique to each server's needs. Any thoughts about this? Is there a DCS generic list somewhere?
  3. I prefer TS3. I have an older Alienware based on the i7-2600 cpu w/16GB ram and SRS is too demanding.
  4. I will be using this! I load-up my various aircraft checklists to my 10 inch Kindle Fire tablet and use that as my kneeboard. Thanks much
  5. Just in case you might want to do the A-10C Here is Ken' How-To : http://simhq.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/topics/3418287/1/Feature_DCS_A_10C_Warthog_CH_P.html
  6. I can delete by right mouse clicking on the specific .map aircraft title within my CH Control Manager v4.52 after loading the Load .Maps listing (top of screen toolbar, far left icon, with the right mouse click menu, its delete option. I delete the individual .maps entities before deleting the aircraft title. A how-to setup guide for Mapped Mode (you just work backwards) : I learned using Ken King's books and videos, but most of his stuff/links were to CH Hangar.com and that has closed. http://www.ch-hangar.com His YouTube Channel and your version CH Control Manager : https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCiN2Y7zy0L8jagZNjzvzkQA - How-To Videos by Kirk Fickert (Vol. 1, 2, 3, might be others by this guy) : ============================================== - OR - You should also be able to delete same within the MY DOCUMENTS Maps listing under your version of CH Control Manager. But your CH Control Manager version and if you have Windows 10 : both may work differently than my setup. I was quite happy with version 4.52 , so I did not upgrade to the newer CH Control Manager and ditto with Windows 10; Windows 7 Pro still works fine, until I get a new PC. -+- Hope this answers your question. Take care
  7. As to the Pro Throttle Mini-Stick is how I do it for the Ka-50 : https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2290423&postcount=40

  9. Hi, OK, here we go... I have CH Control Manager 4.52 I run Windows 7 Pro I went to my Windows Explorer for Computer then to OS (C "colon mark") and typed in the upper right corner Search Box ".map" without the quotation marks. Otherwise I get (C:) Then sifted through the findings. I knew what I was looking for, just forgot where it was stashed. The .map entities for me reside in My Documents under the folder heading title "CH Control Manager". Then, "Maps" . Then, the individual aircraft .maps . ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Now, for me: I made copies and stashed a copy within My Documents and also on external hard drives as backup. Revvin's CH Hangar, sadly, is no more!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! http://www.ch-hangar.com/ I just may have to one of these days get non-CH Products controllers... Has been for me over 10 years with them. I rather doubt Revvin's fantastic CH Products support is anywhere else except what I use and stashed for me. I may stash what I have to this topic heading within DCS Forums if the moderators will allow it. FACEBOOK still has this : https://www.facebook.com/CH-Hangar-244838275571773/ SimHQ : http://simhq.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/topics/2926340/Re_Control_Manager_for_Dummies.html Did FSX and their Forums before DCS, I bet they got CH stuff, too. -+- Have a good one! I see NORAD is tracking Santa currently...
  10. Sorry, this is a Facebook link. Don't know how to separate the video out of it. Right wing separates from the aircraft. https://www.facebook.com/impressivephotoo/videos/225625588186989/ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Supposedly this has been faked...
  11. (Not really a military project, but the invention of the helicopter in the USA and its civilian development process.) YouTube knows I like the copters and I found this gem today waiting for me in suggested topics.
  12. Never thanked you guys for the replies... Thank you!!
  13. Have been on in the past with no negative issues. Wee hours this morning New York time zone trying to load the game it just hung on me. Using my JSGME I had added some texture mods by 104th Mustang and a Ka-50 mod for improved lighted dials that created the hang as DDCS requires pure terrain textures. I removed both. Then the server loaded just fine.
  14. I agree! (I do use SRS, though; at least it kills the time-out message and allows me to play.) Discord I do not use. +1
  15. You guys using SRS in game ? Does the UHF radio allow use in the 100's MHz (AM band) frequency range? You guys using the "T" selector for the 100 range? RED Side : ======= Guard = 121.5 GCI - 125.0 ATC = 126.0 AFAC = 132.0 -+- Or are you guys using TeamSpeak 3 ? ----------------------------------------------- https://www.scribd.com/document/51488058/arc-164-manual
  16. IS the info I have been looking for concerning "T" and "A" . Thanks for posting this info. +1
  17. Do you know about setting up a Mode key with Shift? You then can double all your commands by allowing each button 2 assignments. Download this .rar file and read the read-me, his how-to : ==================================== https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3521598&postcount=23 I just did this for the F-5E.
  18. F-5E UHF Radio Frequencies in SRS >>> A Question Currently learning F-5E. Radio frequency range is only above 200 range, not below. F-5E on Red side, SRS frequencies are : Guard = 121.5 AM GCI = 125.0 AM ATC = 126.0 AM AFAC = 132.0 AM You F-5E guys able to use SRS with these frequencies ? Is "T" selector for the 100's range? See Message #10 here >>> https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=174403&page=2 -+- I figure TS3 or Chat is the way to go, this aircraft with the 104th server...
  19. Cockpit cabin side: ============ Graduated Markings On KB-26A Sight Camera : What are these used for? Lower left proceeding clockwise : 2.8/D , 5.6 , 11 , 22/B I am guessing numbers are "f-Stops" Selector does rotate and is mapable. BUT >>> does it function? ---------------------------------------------------------- The Easy Guide To Understanding Aperture (f Stop) ================================ https://www.redbubble.com/people/peterh111/journal/5725038-the-easy-guide-to-understanding-aperture-f-stop - OK, so .... when would you use f/22 ? ======================== f/22 : https://www.thephotoforum.com/threads/ok-so-when-would-you-use-f-22.220081/ Guess I answered my own question... -+- Cheers
  20. (re: Message #1 top-of-this-thread) I still use CH Products : Fighterstick, Pro Throttle, Pro Pedals and the CH Control Manager that mates the three together with it. Mine are the original set purchased new in 2011. Revvin has a pretty good stash of helpful and useful stuff : http://www.ch-hangar.com/
  21. My brother is an electronics guru that works for US Navy in Washington State and like me, is former Navy. Gonna' run this thread by him. He could definitely help you, but he is funny about getting into the hobby-end stuff. He has talked to me about 3D-Printing, though I never much considered it. I have my shop. I rarely bother with a formal drawing. I take the part, measure up what i need, make a sketch and make it. 3D printing does sound intriguing. I'm gonna' look into it. The Navy uses the technology and has a dedicated lab for it there. Thanks for putting this thread up.
  22. What system do you have? Where do you get your materials supplies?
  23. (re: Message #'s 1 - 6) Where you getting your parts from? When I retired from the machine shop trade, I bought myself a basic little cellar machine shop of lathe/mill combo and a separate small vertical milling machine so I could fix stuff. Also have horizontal cut-off saw, drill press, welders, oxy/acetylene torch, various pedestal grinders, etc. and compressed air supply system. Nylon and aluminum are easy to machine but stainless steels and tool steels are easy enough to work with, too. Any serious tool steel hardening/tempering I'd job out to a heat treating vendor. I am not interesting on a side business, just letting you guys know it ain't that hard to get set up. Where you getting your parts for this rebuild job you are doing??
