fixed [REPORTED]No "go to tanker" option
Eagle7907 replied to Florence201's topic in Bugs and Problems
I’ve done the LUA mod, and it works when it’s day time. For some reason at night you tell them to go to tanker they Rodger, then immediately say rejoin. I know for sure they are on fumes as well. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro -
Did a fast mission in the A-10 with a wingman. With the datalink radio on, he is not showing up on the TAD. Also no friendly ground forces show up on TAD. I remember they were a green x. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

I noticed at night without a moon, clear skies, in caucuses map, the stars have a spectrum appearance. They are red above horizon and turn color the higher you look. Didn’t do this before update. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro

I noticed this as well. I was flying the Lion and Sun instant action mission. Got behind the Fishbed. Locked him with PAL. I can hear the winders growl. Press SEAM. No tone. At that point I closed in for gun kill. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro

I encountered this in the same conditions. Cold and high. I think I was at 28k maybe higher? IMN of about .80 with a climb. The jet eventually departed flight and got into probably the deepest stall. I wish I had a video of it. Basically the jet turned into a Harrier with a flame. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro

HUD declutter incorrect Right. But it’s still incorrect. Or incomplete. Whichever way you want to see it. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro

Tried the HUD declutter and it does move the ILS bars out but leaves the roll indicator present. This is not correct. See here: HUD Declutter mode https://r.tapatalk.com/shareLink/topic?share_fid=74365&share_tid=262609&url=https%3A%2F%2Fforums%2Eeagle%2Eru%2Fshowthread%2Ephp%3Ft%3D262609&share_type=t&link_source=app Also it does NOT indicate for this declutter to function with an ILS tuned. Presently it will only work with ILS dialed in. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

Disregard. I just noticed your sticky post about planned systems. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

FYI....just noticed the planned systems sticky. It indeed mentions the CCIP program that is being implemented into our module. Is I have complete confidence this is exactly what to expect. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

This is a pretty good source to help with landings. The sentence with the “PW229” does not apply with our engine. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

I think it was the last update, first one of 2020? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

I’ve just pressed enter on each line (lat, long, elev) and it aligns okay. Once the alignment is complete, move knob to Nav. A good way to check that it did indeed align is after you turn the knob to Nav, turn on your JHMCS and check that the heading tape scrolls as you move your head around. If it doesn’t, then it didn’t align. Go to off, then back to align again and repeat. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

Yes the trim seems too sensitive. I’m either slightly rolling left or right. I can never null the trim to perfect center. I hope they can fix this. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

Related to another post, I wanted to find the verbiage that outlines this function. But unfortunately the revision I found may be too old and doesn’t include or mention this function. Could ED confirm for everyone that this function is indeed installed on the Blk 50? If possible, could just post the paragraph that explains it being installed on Blk 50? Much appreciated. Thank you! Addendum: I did find a manual regarding the MLU on the A/B models dated 2000 that include this function. So does this automatically include the C/D? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

Engine shutdown sound Okay. I’ll try it unchecked. Thanks for pointing that out. I’ll keep digging some more. I’ve flown with some ex F-16 pilots in the past. If I fly a trip with them again or run into them in the terminal, I’ll ask. BTW, from what I’ve been told the D model has more performance than the C. I never expected that. He said it was because it carries less internal fuel. Makes sense, since a human weighs less than 1000~ pounds. I like flying with these guys. The stories they tell! Ah that's right. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro

That doesn't include the missing declutter logic that is being discussed. This is selectable from a HOTAS button, not from the panel. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro

Engine shutdown sound Well the modules I have are A-10c, Harrier, F14, F16, F18, F5 I haven't flown the F5/Harrier for a while so I can't say that it's included in my observations, but everything else applies. Here's my sound levels: I forgot to add FC3 as well. Quick testing Runway start. Done with canopy open. Idle first before shutdown. On ground. F16- its mildly quiet. Just seems like it gets quiet really fast as it spools down particularly around 40% rpm. That's surprising. F14- big problem, open canopy sounds exactly the same with it closed. (Might be why I've started this post) F18- it's a bit better than the F16 but once rpm goes to 8% it's dead quiet nothing that sounds like rotation. F5- it's about the same as the F18, except at 4% goes quiet. Harrier- due to its already loud nature, I find no problem here except it goes dead quiet when rpm goes zero. But with fan blades that big, you would think the clank factor would be abundant. A10C- same as F-5 and Harrier F15- it's much like the above except it gets really quiet after 10% rpm A10a-same as F15 Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro

Engine shutdown sound Ah okay, I knew it wouldn't exactly match, but still it does seem rather lacking when you shutdown in DCS not just one jet, but all of them. That's more or less my point. Maybe the clacking of the fan blades for the A-10s would be proper, or adding it to all that possess this phenomenon? I guess what I'm saying is the shutdown sound seems basic and lacks substance or individuality. Disregard the individuality. Just disproved that below. :) Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro

From what I understand, it removes the bank angle scale so you can spot the runway better during instrument approaches.
-
It doesn't go all the way to dead stop rotation, also I think there is another F-16 idling nearby, but you can still hear how loud the engine the guy is turning off is still much louder over time versus what DCS is doing.

I'm not really sure how post this because its mostly all jet aircraft that I've noticed this that has yet to have been addressed. I have 14 years experience like some on this thread of being around jet aircraft. I have noticed that the shutdown volumes are not accurate. The sustained volume of idle and above seems right, but after the command to off the jet sounds go quickly to the level of an operating Dust Buster and go silent way to fast with still plenty of rotation left on the engine. Jet engines, when slowly rotating, start to develop a loud clank or clack noise from fan blades moving themselves on the hub. (can't really explain why) The volume of that sequence seems too low, both canopy open and closed, and is not proportional with the idle volumes. With the canopy open should definitely be much higher in volume, closed is debatable. Just an observation of something to improve on to help with the immersion.
