  1. Doesn’t bleed air provide avionics cooling as well? That MIGHT be important?! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  2. 65F Targeting Problem Same here. Already complained about this. Can’t get a good lock until 3-5 miles away. Also to be clear, you’re not holding the sensor select. You press sensor select left to bring the TDC diamond to video screen. You hold the TDC Down (enter key I think?) to slew the seeker. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  3. I can only think of check your elevation for waypoint. It may be off a lot. Also, anytime you switch waypoints you have to press WYPT then WPDSG again. 1) press TGT 2) press arrow button to next waypoint 3) press WYPT 4) press WPDSG Works for me. If you made the waypoints and input altitudes for flight, those waypoints will be in the air, not on the ground. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  4. how to set correct Waypoint for GBU delivery "TGTDSG" Yeah that is strange. To me, something isn’t adding up there. But what the hornet is probably trying to show you is MSL altitude not AGL. Elevation is always derived by above sea level not above ground. So the mechanics of what the hornet is TRYING to provide are correct. Probably should enter in 33 feet again manually in jet. Also your waypoint isnt directly over the target. Might want to readjust and see if it still changes it to 66. I’m willing to bet the elevation at that waypoint is 65 feet. Why? Because you put 33 feet AGL in the waypoint altitude. 65+33=98 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  5. how to set correct Waypoint for GBU delivery "TGTDSG" Oh my bad, yes it always defaults to zero. Must input elevation manually. I think it will eventually do it automatically, because if you use the ATFLIR, it won’t know the elevation from how I understand it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  6. That and it’s not the TMWH which is what I’m using. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  7. how to set correct Waypoint for GBU delivery "TGTDSG" I don’t think -18 has elevation data at the moment. Does it IRL? I really don’t know, I imagine it would. I think the elevation info for waypoints is just a copy from whatever is set in the ME. Therefore, the player has to be careful and double check that the waypoint elevation matches the elevation of the target. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  8. Okay, so the slew rates are fixed, then why can’t I lock a target up at a reasonable distance? A10 is very simple and straightforward. F18 is like forcing a stick of butter through a keyhole. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  9. Bummer. Okay thanks man. I wish ED would rethink their ground units capabilities. If I can see it viewing from F2, they should too. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  10. How do I use LGBs? It should be the same thing. You select wypt then select wypt 1. Then when you press weapon designate, all you’re doing is slaving the weapons/release parameters to that waypoint. You can do this with any waypoint. Hint: that’s why you should be careful when setting altitudes in the ME for each waypoint. You will unintentionally put your waypoint in the air. And yes the hornet will release accordingly to have the bomb go through that midair waypoint. That’s why it is imperative to check the waypoint elevation when using waypoint/weapon designate. You can fix it in game through waypoint manipulation. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  11. Sorry mate, I wish I could at least view a track, but I’m sure someone will catch the problem. Keep working at it. I’ve done drops with -12s on the abandoned airstrip as well as in Tsibli? and all of them performed as expected. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  12. How do I use LGBs? HUD (ball and chain) or waypoint release designation or CCIP (not recommended) are the only three ways to release LGBs. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  13. Thanks for helping TJ. [emoji1303] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  14. How do I use LGBs? Post error. Deleted. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  15. I’d love to, but like I said in another post, I’m on the road for next 6 days. [emoji20] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  16. How do I use LGBs? It matters if the TGT elevation is way off the actual elevation. (WYP elevation matters if you use the waypoint designation aka Wags video). If the TGT elevation is higher, that will cause the release to happen too close or directly over your target, which will be too late. But since they match in your case, that’s not the problem. Hmmm, 15k should be plenty of time. And the stores page does say the correct laser code JTAC is using under the pylon locations? Remember you have to do it for each pylon. Not like the Mavericks. 17. How do I use LGBs? Well mate, I honestly don’t have an answer for you. I’ve checked the obvious things that I can at the moment that may have been looked over. I have used them since yesterdays update and they guide perfectly (both using waypoint release and HUD) to target laser by JTAC. You’re using 2.5.4 open beta? Not stable? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  18. Okay. What altitude are you releasing at? Are you giving the bomb enough time to acquire and adjust? What’s the waypoint elevation? What’s the target elevation? Sorry for questions. Viewing a track would be much easier. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  19. How do I use LGBs? That’s correct. Technically there isn’t a way to spot the laser yet since the LST isn’t implemented yet. Basically you have to just “know” where the target is and use the “ball and chain” to create a release point. It is a bit elementary but it is functional. I wish I could view a track right now, but I’m working the next 6 days. [emoji20] Addendum Right now you can only conduct pre-planned attacks using waypoint releases or just knowing ahead of where the target is exactly. It will be pretty difficult do CAS missions using LGBs. The process would be very tedious because of constantly copying coordinates and creating new waypoints. The pod and Link16 will greatly reduce the workload when the time comes. Actually you can spot the laser with a laser maverick. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  20. No disrespect, but did you tell JTAC to turn the laser on? Also, after he responds, “Laser ON, Lasing” you still need to tell him you “spot” the laser, and then you’re “IN hot”. Then JTAC will clear you to engage. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro
  21. M4 soldier.... I discovered ctld, but I’d rather have the ability to communicate with a JTAC. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro
  22. Seen that too. Only happens when there isn’t any thing to contrast with in the image. Also when FOV is narrow. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  23. Also nozzle position is a good cue as well in combination of fuel flow. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  24. I think 59? I’m guessing since the FPAS only goes as high as 59. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  25. Bulls Eye Shadow, you select DATA on the lower DDI(?) and make sure you have a waypoint selected and press AA WYP I think it is? It’s the second one above lower left. Also, make sure the radar display isn’t declutter. Noticed they made the jet start up with declutter 2 selected. That’s in the DATA page on the radar display. Hope that helps. Note: whatever waypoint you have selected when you press AA WPT will be the displayed bullseye on the radar. Now if that corresponds with the AWACS bullseye? I think that is setup in the editor?
