  1. [MISSING TRACK FILE] engine shutdown electric show Yes it was on. I’m also wondering if it has to do with rearm weapons and refuel on the ground. I remember doing that the first time and it occurred. The second time, I didn’t and also nothing happened. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  2. I agree. That was my 2 cents before. I’ve never seen a jet accrue ice without visible moisture, meaning clouds, fog, rain, snow, ice itself, etc. The function of the jet may be simulated correctly, but the environment isn’t. However, I haven’t seen or heard of a DCS Hornet crashing because of ice ingestion. I just turn on the heat so that I don’t get bothered with erroneous alerts. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  3. Exactly. It will even correct your mistake if you load external fuel with the internal tanks not full.
  4. Another attempt Just finished same mission again, same conditions with the exception of the INS knob and Radar. I put it to off before shutting down left engine. Everything was fine. Strange this happens with both knobs left on. How am I supposed to post a track that is 1-2 hours long? Also, I landed both times on the carrier. So, I know for a fact it will be a bogus track.
  5. Greetings, Just did a loop around my usual testing mission filled with SAMs, armor, migs, tankers, and ships. After about 2 hours playing this mission the very end I got the strangest event. With everything still powered, but flaps up and wings folded, I shutdown left engine (keeping right engine running), and the airplane went into 'saturday night fever' mode. The engine readouts started flickering, the DDIs went blank, and the RWR was screaming bloody murder. Even the ECS can be heard cycling on and off. The jet acted like the left generator wasnt sure if it should be online or not. Of course after watching this occur for about 10 seconds, I try to capture this on my phone, but then it stopped and every display came back but then I had a caution for the INS which makes sense in a way after a spike like that. Caucauses map 2.5.4v haven't checked any others yet. Is this normal? Anyone else have this happen?
  6. I don’t think you can at least in the cockpit. Burst height is set by munitions specialists before the pilot does the preflight. At the moment the DCS hornet and Harrier can be changed yet. It’s currently 1500’ AGL. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  7. Yes. The channels have been very clear and informative. I much appreciate their efforts. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  8. Av8b and the mk20 cluster bombs. I find the angle and speed are very important for a successful kill with armor. About 25-30 degrees and 500-550 knots works well. I guess if you go too slow the munitions can’t penetrate and the angles are important just as much. Too shallow and will hardly scratch the target. Weird thing is if you dive more than 30, like 45 or more, it has very little effect. You would think it would be just as effective? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  9. JDAMs don’t apply to routes. That’s with JSOWs because they basically glide to target. JDAMs can alter their attack angles. I answered in general. Yes. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  10. From what I understand, yes... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  11. Could you ask him about this? This is really hard to determine since all GoPro videos can’t view this gauge, located near right knee. 12. How do you use AMG65E when JTAC tells you line1/2/3 N/A Yes they do. It doesn’t work at night hours though. Bugged. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  13. I believe you are correct. Judging from how the F-16 is able to slave ALL the Maverick seekers. However, it is a different platform. We will know in time. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  14. Arming menu - rearming trouble I’ve noticed this too, and would love any tips on the matter. The problem is the store loads are sorted by task. The task selection also affects the mission. Therefore, depending on where the loadout was built, it will show up for that task. I personally don’t really like this way of doing store selection. It’s very complicated and confusing and limits the player. It also makes it difficult to allow the Hornet to be a true multi role fighter, same situation when F16 comes. 15. I like them too. However, I wish the laser spot/distance bug would be addressed. Seems to me it’s being slightly limited to its full potential without this fixed. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

Excluding anything French.... they refer to the Autopilot as Fefe. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro

  18. I thought this was functional. NATOPs says you can enter grid coordinates? Could’ve sworn there is a Grid option. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro
  19. Correct. Because AWACS and other allied flight calls use the bullseye in the ME. If they are not in the same position, the radio calls will not make sense on the radar. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  20. It’s realistic for an optical seeker. The 65F is infrared seeker. It should be able to find targets much easier than the optical seeker. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  21. Doesn’t bleed air provide avionics cooling as well? That MIGHT be important?! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  22. 65F Targeting Problem Same here. Already complained about this. Can’t get a good lock until 3-5 miles away. Also to be clear, you’re not holding the sensor select. You press sensor select left to bring the TDC diamond to video screen. You hold the TDC Down (enter key I think?) to slew the seeker. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  23. I can only think of check your elevation for waypoint. It may be off a lot. Also, anytime you switch waypoints you have to press WYPT then WPDSG again. 1) press TGT 2) press arrow button to next waypoint 3) press WYPT 4) press WPDSG Works for me. If you made the waypoints and input altitudes for flight, those waypoints will be in the air, not on the ground. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  24. how to set correct Waypoint for GBU delivery "TGTDSG" Yeah that is strange. To me, something isn’t adding up there. But what the hornet is probably trying to show you is MSL altitude not AGL. Elevation is always derived by above sea level not above ground. So the mechanics of what the hornet is TRYING to provide are correct. Probably should enter in 33 feet again manually in jet. Also your waypoint isnt directly over the target. Might want to readjust and see if it still changes it to 66. I’m willing to bet the elevation at that waypoint is 65 feet. Why? Because you put 33 feet AGL in the waypoint altitude. 65+33=98 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  25. how to set correct Waypoint for GBU delivery "TGTDSG" Oh my bad, yes it always defaults to zero. Must input elevation manually. I think it will eventually do it automatically, because if you use the ATFLIR, it won’t know the elevation from how I understand it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
